About: 10+ years of experience caring for animals. I've assisted in the birth and taken care of two litters of puppies, cared for elderly dogs (administering medications and shots) and have experience dog training. I've had cats since I was 18 and have owned dogs for almost ten years. I lived on a farm for five years and gained a lot of experience working with animals. I work part time and have plenty of time to dedicate to your animal. I love taking dogs for a sunset walk around folsom lake or on a run along the bike path. I have a second floor apartment with a fenced deck that overlooks wild oaks and a gurgling stream. There is a magnetic screen door so the animals can come and go from the outside deck as they please. My apartment complex also offers a pretty nice dog park. I do have a large dog and a cat that are very good friends. I frequently host my friends dogs for a day visit or overnight so my dog and cat are very friendly and used to having guests :)

“I was very apprehensive of leaving my cats for the first time with a cat sitter.Derek listened to all my instructions and did accordingly. He send me pictures of them everyday and would have regular contact with me,letting me know about the situation.I felt very comfortable and at ease.I would definitely get his services again.Very happy with Rover and Derek.”

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life. I’ve always done the potty training and basic training for my dogs. I also did several years of volunteer work for the Sacramento SPCA doing basic training with the dogs. I’m recently retired so my days are completely free. I will be available during the week and weekends as well. I’m available mornings and evenings. I have a fenced yard and am home most days to take care of my pets. I also have a crate that can be used.

“Took such great care of my two kitties! Was great at communicating and sent plenty of photos to show them having fun while we were away. She even changed the litter, swept up since my cats can be messy with it. So thankful for her!”

“Sloane is a great per sitter who really took time with my cats. She is dependable, with a fair fee and goes above and beyond to assure animals are well fed and gives special attention. I highly recommend Sloane.”

About: Hi there, I’m Rose (my profile says ‘Maddison’ which is my first name, but I go by my middle name, ‘Rose’ to clear up any confusion!). Let’s see— I’ve been a dog lover my entire life and had the privilege of caring for my own senior pup until she was 17 years old. That experience taught me so much about patience, understanding, and the special care older dogs require. Since 2014, I’ve been independently providing reliable, loving care to dogs, always ensuring they feel safe, respected, and deeply loved. Whether it’s gentle walks, meal time, or just companionship, I’m committed to giving every pet the attention and care they deserve. I offer flexible availability to meet your pet care needs! On weekdays, I’m available from 8:30pm to 10:30pm for evening care. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, my schedule opens up from 1pm to 7pm , making it perfect for daytime visits and extended care. Additionally, I’m happy to provide overnight sitting from Friday evenings to Sunday afternoons, ensuring your pets are well-cared for and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s a quick check-in or an overnight stay, I’m here to help! Safety is always my top priority when caring for your pets. I keep dogs on a leash at all times during walks to ensure they stay secure and under control. I’m also experienced in recognizing and de-escalating tense situations, whether it’s encountering other animals or navigating busy environments. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs and always take precautions to keep them out of harm’s way.

“I have a very shy kitty around new people and Marissa did an amazing job making him feel comfortable! We got daily pictures or videos and updates and she was always very responsive to all of my check ins! Will book again!!”

Alder Creek cat parents share their Rover experiences
Samantha was absolutely amazing 💖. This was both of our first time using Rover. She was so attentive to my pets and made me feel so comfortable going on vacation. I truly felt as if she treated my fur babies like her own. She also sent me pictures regularly which made me smile every time and at ease knowing they were being well taken care of. She even bought more food for them since my animals ate more than expected. I will definitely be using her again in the future. Best decision I made for the care of my pets 💖🐕🐈⬛💖
