“Derek and his family took excellent care of our anxious, recently rescued Gouda for 5 days. They sent daily updates about how she was adjusting and several photos of her. Great communicators who respond quickly. I was never once worried about Gouda’s safety or wellbeing. She came back clean and happy! Highly recommend.”

“Cody was very good with my dog. He sent pics and kept me updated on how Toby was doing. They played fetch and tug-a-war. I would highly recommend Cody to care for your pet! A +!”

“Trina communicated promptly and gave updates of my dog’s stay with her. Perla loved playing with the resident dogs and was nice and worn out when she came home. I would use her again.”

“Tamara’s house is a lovely doggy Disneyland with lots of safe playmates and a ton of beds all over the house. I can tell my doggy is happy there because she wags her tail when she sees Tamara. I am grateful to have a happy place for when I need to be away.”
“This is my second time leaving my girl with Nadya and her family. My dog got excited when we got close to their home. They treat her like family and I feel so comfortable leaving her with them. So grateful to have found them”

“Boarding with Edith was AMAZING! We received pictures nearly every day during Camaro's 2 week stay and in every picture you could tell that she was having the time of her life, just running around in the backyard and having fun with all the other doggie friends. Not only that, but Edith was able to cut the dog's habit of sleeping on our bed and is now sleeping on her bed every night...its a MIRACLE! We will definitely be using Edith's services again :)”

“Leslie is the best! When Leslee is on the job, I never worry about my pet's care and happiness while I am on vacation. She loves dogs and truly cares about your pet as if it was her own.”

“Was really pleased with Tammy. She loved my dogs and they loved her. She was well versed on the care, knowledge and treatment of the pups. I would recommend her too everyone!”

“This is Oreo’s second stay with Marilee, Joe and their dog Zuko. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I know Oreo is well cared for and enjoys his time there taking advantage of the comfy sofa & huge park like yard. We will be back for the next holiday!”

“As we were planning our vacation, we could not find care for Princess in our home, which we thought would have been best given her age & comfort at home. Once we began looking for a place to possibly board her...we could not believe how simple it was through Rover. Diane was one of the top listings and only a few blocks away. We set an appointment up for a meet & greet (highly recommended) & wow...is this possible...a perfect place, with doggy friends to play with and lots of roving room. But especially Diane, who is not just well equipped with a home, extra hands and even a delicious chicken dinner...her assurance & kindness with Princess gave us the confidence we needed to take our vacation and be sure that Princess was in the best hands!”

“Darlene took great care and attention to my big big pups. It's not easy taking care of two large dogs, but Darlene did it with ease. She gave them all the affection and attention they wanted along with regular walks and plenty of play time. She was always great about communicating by providing updates throughout the day along with pictures. Will definitely use her services again.”

“Amy & Justin gave our German Shepard an incredible experience. He was well taken care of, loved, and enjoyed his time with them and their dog River. Would book again in a heartbeat!”

There is never a time where my house is unsupervised for more than a few hours at a time to go out and eat or run errands. “Angela was amazing! We are always nervous leaving our dog with new people and Angela made it easier than anyone we’ve ever used before. She was the sweetest person and cared so much for our dog. We got videos and pictures as well as updates to know that he was doing good. Our dog doesn’t care for people other than us, but after this trip, you could tell that he loved Angela. 10/10 would recommend ⭐️”

“Shannon was responsive, kind, and flexible. I had to add 2 more nights unexpectedly for which she happily accepted. She also sent photos and videos so I could rest knowing my senior dog was being taken care of. Will book again!”

“Pranavi took such wonderful care of or dog, Mochi. She was super responsive, patient, and flexible with our schedule. Loads of pictures and videos were sent. Mochi is still a fairly newly adopted puppy so we weren’t 100 percent sure how she’d react in a new environment but Pranavi assured me she was a good girl and she came home tired and happy!”

“Josue and his wife took great care of Canela and Zeus, they both went out of their way to make both dogs feel comfortable. I would definitely have them take care of my dogs when the need arises.”

“Barbara is a nice responsible person who took such good care or our cat. I really think they both liked each other a lot after just the first meeting. And Barbara was fantastic in her Communication with us. Really could not ask for more. Thank you Barbara!.”

“Mariah took care of our very timid cats while we were away for seven days. We scheduled her to come only once a day as the cats are very frightened of new people. She followed the written instructions and I was able to communicate with her any potential problems. We would absolutely book her again if we need cat care.”

“Jess was amazing! She took great care of my cat and my plants for 6 days. She was very friendly, responsive, and kept me updated while I was away. I came home to a happy cat and everything in perfect shape. I’ll definitely be booking with Jess again in the future!”

“Amy was great and so sweet with my two cats! She followed directions well (my overly specific notes lol), and was caring to my more sensitive adult cat as well as my friendly kitten! She also didn’t bat an eye when my older cat unexpectedly barfed two separate times and she cleaned it up. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrrived home! Will book Amy again”

“Lacee was excellent with our 4 chickens while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She came by every day to make sure their needs were met. I really appreciated how she followed our detailed instructions and checklists. She was very thorough in her care with them and made sure they were given their frozen treats and water during the hot summer days in her care. We hope to book Lacee in the future for another chicken care event! 🐤😊”

“Betty was great with our senior cat. She sent detailed Rover cards that put my mind at ease, gave meds and tried out different food combos since our kitty has early stage kidney disease and struggles with appetite. I would definitely recommend Betty.”
“Michelle is very reliable, friendly and great at communicating! We will definitely be hiring her again for our next trip. We especially loved all of the photos that she took of our pets and a detailed description of events that took place during her drop in visit 😊”

“Eliza did a great job keeping me updated on how my cats were doing while I was away. She took plenty of pictures and would write some notes of how each visit went, which I really appreciated. It was very reassuring knowing that I had Eliza taking care of my cats. I would definitely book with her again and would recommend anyone looking for a pet sitter to book with her. She's great!”

“Without much notice, Brooklyn was able to drop in and tend to my two cats over the Memorial Day weekend. She is flexible, communicates well, follows instructions, and provided lots of pics during her visit. I’d have no problem using her services the next time I need pet care services.”

“Thank you Jessica for taking care of Susie while we were in Italy! It made all the difference to us seeing your photos and updates on the Rover card. Although Susie definitely missed us, she was in good spirits overall when we got back. Thanks again for taking such good care of her!”

“Amanda was professional and punctual. My husband and I were in a pinch to find pet care and she was happy to commit even with such short notice. She was respectful of our home and left everything in great shape. There’s nothing better than having peace of mind knowing your fur babies will be well taken care of while out of town. We highly recommend Amanda for all of your pet sitting needs. ☺️”

“Marleen is the best. This is the second time she has taken care of our cats and I’m sure there will be more times in the future. She is caring and a very good communicator, which I appreciate. I highly recommend her services.”

“We are so grateful Derek, Leslie and their family help look after our sweet fur babies when we are away. The Pitadors are always excited when they know they are going to these wonderful Rover sitter’s home and always come back to our home tuckered out from all the play, love and attention they’ve gotten!”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tammy: The Dog Whisperer If Mary Poppins had a dog-sitting cousin who exclusively cared for tiny, emotionally complex white cockapoos, her name would be Tammy. My dog Sugar – a floofy cockapoo with a stump tail and the courage of a particularly anxious marshmallow – is usually terrified of everything. Her own shadow? Enemy. A breeze? Monster. A leaf blowing by? Full-on DEFCON 1. Enter Tammy. Somehow, magically, Sugar transformed from a nervous wreck into a peaceful, lazy princess under Tammy’s care. We're talking “snoring on the couch like a 70-year-old grandpa watching golf” levels of relaxed. Tammy clearly speaks fluent Dog (and probably a dialect specific to sugar-powered floof nuggets). She sent regular updates, including pics of Sugar looking like she pays rent and owns the place. I swear Sugar even looked smug. I don’t know what kind of sorcery or secret stash of dog whispering snacks Tammy’s working with, but I’m deeply grateful. And Sugar has been sulking since she left, which I assume is her version of a five-star Rover review. If you want someone who’ll love your fur-baby like her own—and maybe unlock their inner couch potato zen master—Tammy’s your gal.”

“We dropped off our dog at Deborah's house for dog sitting. Our dog really likes Deborah. She is kind and patient and you can tell she really likes animals. We were updated regularly on how our dog was doing with messages and pictures. It made us feel like she was in good hands. We will definitely book Deborah for more sitting soon!”

“Johnna took such great care of Luna. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We received pictures and updates that kept us feeling confident in her care. Thank you Johnna!”

“Thank you for taking care of Kilo! Darlene kept me posted with pictures of Kilo living his best life with friends! I felt comfortable leaving Kilo in Darlene’s care. I will definitely book Darelene to take care of Kilo, again!”

“Alexis and her family were amazing! Came in nervous to drop off our new puppy but they seem like genuine kind people who made us feel at ease. Our puppy seemed like she had lots of love and fun around her.”

“We were visiting Folsom for a birthday party and left our Pomeranian with Shannon for about 4 hours so we wouldn't have to worry about Belle getting fed by the kids and all. It was so nice to be able to relax while Belle hung out with Shannon and some other dogs! All went well and we got a few videos of Belle! Shannon was very good at communicating with us.”

“Gauri was absolutely wonderful with my dog! ❤️ She took such great care of him, gave him a lovely walk, and showered him with so much love and attention. Her two dogs were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, and all three of them had such a great time playing together! 🐶🐶🐶 It was so nice to see him having so much fun and feeling comfortable. I really appreciated how caring and attentive Gauri was, and I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. I would definitely trust her with him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone loving, caring, and responsible with their pets! 💕”

“Michael & Patricia were amazing! Honey was a last minute daycare, they were so loving. You can tell they love to give to dogs they provide services for. I will be taking Honey back just because they are so genuine. They provided me feedback the whole time and photos. Gave me a complete update when I picked her up. Honey will become a regular just so he has wonderful people in her circle. Plus gives me the opportunity to have so me time without any worries.”

“Alyssa was great! She made the experience super easy and comfortable. Opie was wiped out when he came home and loved her pool! I also super appreciated how understanding she was when we hit traffic on our way to pick Opie up.”

“Leslie is absolutely amazing! Ginger is 14 years old and has a lot of health issues. Leslie is incredibly understanding, patient, and compassionate. Thank you, Leslie for taking such great care of my sweet, little Ginger.”

About: Having been through some pretty big life changes recently, I’m reminded to slow down and focus on things that make me happy. One thing that makes me happy is dogs. I’ve also wanted to get out and take more walks, so what better way to enjoy both than dog walking. I’ve had pets of all types all my life, but dogs are hands down my favorite. I currently have two of my own and occasionally watch my friends’ dogs. A friend of mine uses Rover, and I’ve been a pet sitter since I was a teen, so I thought I’d give it a try. I have taken a few training classes when my dog was a puppy and I have some experience with special needs (seniors, blindness, low mobility, and seizures). I work full time, but telework three days a week. For midday visits and dog walks, someone close to home would be best to ensure availability. We can always discuss evening visits or walks as well. For boarding, unless discussed and scheduled prior, weekends would best to ensure I can be home with your fur babe. I treat visiting pups like my own. They’re allowed on my furniture and in my bed. I have multiple crates of various sizes if a crate is needed. My yard is fenced, but dogs aren’t typically left unattended in the yard. I have seven free range chickens in my yard, so their safety is also a concern for me. I’m also open to discussion if your dogs’ needs don’t align with my typical routine; I don’t mind changing things up if it’s something I can accommodate.

“We are so happy that we found Nanci. She is so nice and provided a wonderful day for our pup. She sent pictures and videos throughout his stay so we could see how he was enjoying his day.”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my dog with Ann! I had hired her to do a couple walks first so my dog was super comfortable with her. Ann had lots of toys for Rio and also took her on two walks during her day. She also got to chase squirrels in the Anns backyard. It’s so great to have a trustworthy person to watch my dog when I need it. Thanks Ann!”

About: As someone who grew up with dogs, both small and large, I've learned what it takes to make sure the puppies are well cared for, between giving them the right food, making sure they go on walks, and grooming. Our pets are our best friends and so we should take the greatest care of them, and I'm willing to do that for all animals alike. I'm currently a part time worker both on weekends and weekdays and have lots of time to dedicate to taking care of pets. The only time I would not be able to offer my services is dueing weekends. In my home, I have a fenced yard to allow for our big huskies to have space to play and run, offering them toys that I know would keep them entertained. I also make sure to clean my dogs and ensure they eat healthily.
“My dog has only been walked by me and I wasn't sure how he'd do being walked by someone else. He immediately was comfortable with Michael. My dog is a large mastiff and is very strong. Michael has good knowledge about dog training and behavior and is great at making sure my dog listens and is well behaved on his walks.”

About: I have a wide range of experience with pet care having taken care of dogs, cats, horses and bunnies. I absolutely love adapting to each of their unique personalities. I am particularly good with scared/sensitive animals and have done a lot of work with desensitization to improve their confidence while in my presence. I have training in grooming as well. I am currently not in grooming due to some carpal tunnel issues and am looking to stay involved in the pet field and would love to get the chance to work with you and your pets! I currently have 4 bunnies and a dog who absolutely enjoy getting spoiled in their structured environments! I am currently really flexible in schedule and able to adapt to the care that you would need. I would love for this to be a venture that becomes full time for me but at the moment I do work night shift at a warehouse. So I am not always able to do overnight care but am used to being available at any needed hour. Hours and availability will become more open as my experience with this app grows. So if you are interested in working with me but it doesn’t look like I am available with the times you need please still feel free to reach out as that might have changed. My life is built around my pets and I throughly enjoy our routines. The bunnies love coming out to play and my dog really enjoys her walks and gets to sleep in the bed and of course morning belly rubs are a must.
“Oreo and I so appreciate Amanda and Hector’s help during these beginning weeks of the new school year! I know Oreo looks forward to going on his lunch potty breaks with Hector where he can sniff to his heart’s content. 🐕 💜 🥰 We truly appreciate Hector’s flexibility when he comes a bit earlier some days due to the hotter weather or Oreo’s needs. We will definitely be requesting Amanda & Hector again!”

“Have had Isabella dog walking service for a few months now, and I am still thrilled with her service! She's super attentive for my pup and I've seen such a growth in independence and potty training since having her. Thanks a million again, Isabella!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brenda did an excellent job walking Chloe on short notice! She was reliable, communicative, and sent photos throughout the walk, which I really appreciated. I highly recommend Brenda and will definitely use her again”

“Ella was on time for pick up and drop off. Our walk was our first meeting and my dog went right over to her for pets! It was a great first experience with Rover and with Ella. I would, and will, book her again!”

“Cole was amazing with our beagle puppy, Cowboy. Cole was super communicative and friendly, and he took Cowboy on a long walk at the nearby dog park. Cole has dogs of his own, so he has a wealth of knowledge on how to train and take care of our dog. Would highly recommend Cole!”

“Betty walks my dog Lucy and is so great! She's very professional, accommodating and I know Lucy enjoys her time with her so much! I'm so thankful to have such a great dog walker to rely on.”

“Mira was great with my 150 lb dog. He loved his walk with her, and came home and slept the rest of the day. She was on time, reliable, and a great communicator. I will definitely be using Mira for dog walks, and for when I go out of town.”

About: Hi! I’m a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying Nutrition, and I’m focusing on pet care this summer. I’ve been caring for animals for over 10 years, including dogs, cats, and reptiles, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies who need lots of attention and exercise to senior pets who need a little extra patience and care. I’m also very detail-oriented and great at sticking to routines, so I’ll make sure your pet gets the care they’re used to while you’re away. Whether I’m taking your dog for a walk, stopping by for a visit, providing overnight care, or simply keeping your pet company, my goal is always to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I make communication a priority and am happy to provide updates along the way. My number one goal is to give both you and your pet peace of mind. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands! I am very flexible and I am open to care on weekdays and weekends. I am usually available throughout the day, from mornings to late nights. My availability for care ends August 12th. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I pay close attention to their routines, behavior, and specific needs-especially during walks and daily care. With experience ranging from puppies to senior dogs, I adjust my approach to match each pet’s energy level and any special requirements. At home, I have a medium-sized senior dog named Amber who is very laid back and gets along well with other pets. When I care for animals in my home, I always do slow, careful introductions and prioritize safety and comfort. I make sure each pet has their own space and only allow interaction when both animals are fully comfortable.

“Jarrod was great with my furry kids. He helped me with short-notice requests, including dog walking and kitty care. All of them were happy after his visit and support. Highly recommend his pet services. Thank you, Jarrod!”

“Brooklyn has been walking Maggie for a week now and Maggie loves Brooklyn! Brooklyn is prompt to respond to requests and easy to communicate with. Maggie will be 14 this year and she requires accommodations and special handling. Brooklyn has demonstrated compassion and understanding with my detailed instructions. She takes care to pay attention to Maggie's energy and gait and provides updates on her activities. Brooklyn is trustworthy and I feel comfortable with giving her access to my home when I'm away. Thank you Brooklyn!”

About: I’ve been house and pet sitting for two years, caring for the home and animals of family and friends who trust me with what matters most to them. That trust is something I take seriously - every client I’ve worked with has told me their house was cleaner when I left than when they went away, and their pets were happier for having me around. What sets me apart: I treat your house like it’s mine to protect, not just occupy. Dishes clean, surfaces wiped, everything put back where it belongs - you’ll come back to a space that feels cared for and not just sat in. I keep your pets routine exactly as they know. Feeding times, walk schedules, medication, bedtime habits - I stick to it precisely, because I know animals feel safest when nothing changes. I have real experience with a wide range of pets and needs. I’ve cared for Labs, show dogs, dogs on medication schedules, and senior dogs, along with senior cats and cats on special diets. I’m comfortable handling medication administration, mobility needs, and extra attention older or health conscious pets require - nothing catches me off guard. I’m a life long animal person, not just a sitter. In have two cats of my own, so I understand pet behavior and needs firsthand - from routine care to reading the subtle cues that tell you something’s off. I come with a track record, not just promises. Two years of repeat sits with the same families and friends means I have real references who can speak consistency, trustworthiness, and care. Whether it’s a weekend or an extended trip, I’ll treat your home and pets like they’re my own responsibility to protect - because to me, they are. I'm home for the summer from college with no other job commitments, so pet care is my main focus during this time. That means I have flexible, wide-open availability throughout the day and week — including weekdays, weekends, and extended stretches for house sitting. Since I don't have a 9-to-5 pulling me away, I can be fully present with your pets rather than squeezing in visits between other obligations. Whether it's a quick daily check-in or a multi-day house sit, I have the time and attention to give your cats a consistent, calm routine while you're away. Whether I'm in your home or out on a walk, safety and consistency come first — pets feel most comfortable when their environment feels calm and predictable, so that's what I aim to create every time. In Your Home (Drop-Ins & House Sitting): I treat every home like it's not my own to take liberties with, but exactly as it was entrusted to me. That means: Following your instructions to the letter — feeding amounts, medication schedules, house rules (furniture, gates, closed doors) are treated as non-negotiable, not suggestions. Keeping doors and gates secured at all times, especially during entry and exit, so there's no risk of an escape. Doing a quick safety scan on arrival — checking that nothing's been knocked over, chewed, or left in a place that could be a hazard, and that food/water bowls are clean and full. Keeping cleaning supplies, medications, and anything toxic out of reach, and letting you know right away if I notice something that could pose a risk (an unlatched cabinet, a chewed cord, etc.). For house sitting specifically, maintaining your home's normal security — lights on a sensible schedule, doors locked, and treating your space with full respect and privacy. Sending photo/video updates so you can see, not just hear, that your pet is safe and settled. On Walks: A secure leash-and-collar (or harness) check before we ever step outside — I don't take a pet out the door until I've confirmed the gear is snug and secure. Sticking to routes I know well, so I can anticipate things like busy intersections, off-leash dogs, or construction — and adjusting the pace or path if something feels unsafe. Carrying water on hot days and watching closely for signs of overheating, fatigue, or discomfort. Keeping a firm, calm hold and clear boundaries around other dogs or people, so your pet never feels put in an unpredictable situation. Immediate check-ins with you if anything unexpected happens — an injury, an unusual reaction, anything out of the ordinary — rather than waiting until the visit is over. Building Trust: For every new pet, I take the first visit slow: letting them approach me on their own terms, learning their specific cues (what makes them anxious, what makes them relax), and following any introduction routine you'd like. I'd rather spend a little extra time earning a pet's trust up front than rush into handling that makes them uncomfortable. That calm, structured approach is really the foundation of everything I do — pets do best when they know exactly what to expect from the humans around them, and that's exactly what I aim to provide.
