Hi, I'm Jacob! I'm 32 and recently moved to Long Beach with my wife from NYC. I bring a friendly and fun energy that most dogs are naturally drawn to. My experience includes caring for both dogs and cats between 4 months-17 years old. I am an ideal sitter for high-energy dogs who need tons of attention, long and/or frequent walks, and extra play time while their owners are away. Skilled at senior dog care, including those with complex medical needs (including injectable medication) and frequent vet visits. I also provide bathing and basic grooming for longer stays at negotiable rates. LONG-TERM PET SITTING: I am a high-energy, hands-on sitter and will give your pets lots of love and attention. If I must leave your home for any reason, I always return within two hours. I keep emergency vet services and poison control information handy—though fortunately I've never needed to use either. I keep dogs on-leash outside of the house at all times. I closely follow house rules and strive to leave spaces in the same condition I found them or better. DOGWALKING & FEEDING: Daily walks for up to three (3) dogs at a standard hourly rate, up to 3x per day. Walks are 1 hour unless specified by the owner. I will refill your dog's food, water and medication if your dog needs it at that time. DOG BOARDING: If you prefer to board your dog, let's discuss long-term boarding options at my home. I live in an apartment complex with my wife, who also loves dogs. She works in-office 5 days/week and will not be involved in pet care. I have access to common yard space and live in a safe neighborhood that's ideal for daily walks. My wife is allergen sensitive, so dogs with excessive shedding or dander will not be a good fit. Rates may vary depending on your pets' specific needs. I live a short walk from the beach and will happily take your dog on a sandy adventure—no swimming allowed. I am currently available weekdays from Monday-Friday. I work part-time at a restaurant on Saturday and Sunday evenings, though my exact schedule varies and is subject to change. My work shifts are rarely longer than 8 hours. Dogs are kept on leash at all times while outside the house. I keep emergency vet services and poison control information handy, though I've fortunately never had to use either.

About: Growing up, we always had dogs around (German shepherds, border collie, pit bull). When I moved away, I missed having my furry best friends around. I adopted my pup Professor Wellington from a shelter in LA when he was around 6-8 months old. He was the first little dog I ever had which seemed easier living in apartments in LA & NYC and traveling. We had almost 13 years together before he recently passed away, and now I have an even bigger soft spot for older dogs that need some extra TLC. I have a regular 8-5 type job during the week, and I have the most flexibility in my day on Friday afternoon/evenings and the weekends. Having a pup that was an escape artist in the beginning, I’m very aware of checking for possible escape routes. I’m also used to watching for signs of anxiety and fear with the environment and other people/dogs. Every dog is different, but I want them to feel as comfortable, happy & safe as possible. For any house sitting requests, I do require doing a meet and greet prior to confirming the booking to make sure that we are all on the same page

About: I work from home, so your dog is rarely left alone. I send 2 to 3 updates a day, so you always know how they’re doing. I’m two blocks from the Belmont Shore boardwalk, 10 minutes from Rosie’s Dog Beach, and 15 from the dog park, so walks are fun and varied instead of a lap around the block. I’m an active runner who trains outdoors, so I can match a high-energy dog with long walks and real play, and I’m just as happy settling in with a calm senior who’d rather nap beside me. I’m also very clean and organized, so if your pup is curious and tends to get into things or eat what they shouldn’t, my home is set up to keep that from becoming a problem. I’ve cared for huskies, Labs, and chihuahuas through Wag and family and friend referrals, and I’m happy to follow any specific or unique instructions your pet’s routine calls for. Because I work from home, my schedule is flexible and I’m available most days, including weekends. On weekdays I can fit in one to two long walks and a shorter one, usually in the early morning and evening around my workday. I take a walk after work every day, and your dog is always welcome to come along. On weekends I can spend two to three hours outdoors with your pet, whether that’s the beach, the boardwalk, or the dog park. For boarding, your dog stays with me in my clean, organized studio apartment, which is secured behind two locked doors. I work from home and live alone, so they have company throughout the day, with no other pets or visitors. I always keep food, cords, and trash out of reach. Since I don’t have a backyard, I take dogs out on a leash for regular walks and potty breaks, including early morning and evening, so they get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Before any stay, I ask for your vet’s contact information and your wishes in an emergency, and I follow the routine you give me for feeding, walks, and any special instructions. I send 2 to 3 updates a day so you always know how they’re doing. For house sitting, I treat your home with the same care and keep your pet’s routine as close to normal as possible.

About: Im a life long pet owner with experience sitting all sorts of animals. Ive taken care of the smallest puppies to giant breed dogs as well as indoor and outdoor cats. I have fostered future service dog puppies, guinea pigs and rabbits too! I know when owners leave the house it can be stressful for the animals, thats why I stay at the owners house so the animals have the least amount of change possible. I love animals and am so excited to work with your pets! I am a college student who takes most of my classes online. This makes my schedule pretty flexible and only requires me to go to school two days a week. This allows me to be with your pets for the remainder of the time and give them all the love and care they need! I am available all major holidays but book up fast! I'll take care of your pets in your home. I know that leaving home can be stressful for both you and your pet that why I aim to keep your pets schedule the same as much as I possibly can. About: I’ve had at minimum one pet in the home everyday since childhood and have always loved animals. I’m an environmentalist and work as a biologist. I have two cats of my own and have typically always had dogs in the home but absolutely love my cats. I had a fish keeping me company in college until I’d visit the family dogs at home. My family and I also adopted a highly anxious german Shepard in 2020 (from a shelter) so I have familiarity with more nervous pets that need patience and extra love and care. I’m so lucky to have an extremely flexible job so oftentimes will be working from home to keep my cats company. I’m relatively active and enjoy going for long walks every morning with workout classes on some evenings. I’m happy to adjust to any environment as long as there’s WiFi! With my work from home schedule, it makes it much easier to get work done while also keeping your pet loved, comfy, and entertained.
