About: I have lots of experience with pets, specifically dogs, considering I have had a pet corgi for ten years and have plenty experience taking care of animals. I am very caring and just really enjoy spending time with animals. I am responsive, cooperative, observant, respectful, and passionate about dogs. I’m currently studying in university, but I have a good work-job-life balance and am flexible with hours. I am almost always free past 11:35 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, past 3:15 on Tuesdays and Fridays, and all of weekends. I make sure to understand what needs and constraints my client and their pet have and need. Getting to know the space and the pet helps set me up to best take care of them. When walking pets, I ensure to connect with the owner and spend time with the pet before setting out on walks.

“Mela was nothing short of exemplary! I’ll expand below but if you want the short and sweet review I’ll say simply: your pets will be in the most competent and compassionate hands with her and you shouldn’t hesitate to book her as your sitter. Mela came twice a day for over a week to care for my two senior cats, one of whom is quite shy and the other quite sassy. She didn’t miss a beat when the sassy one took a little while to warm up to her during my absence (said cat started out somewhat antagonistic but that didn’t phase Mela one bit), and within a few visits she’d clearly made fast friends with both cats - no small feat with my girls! Mela’s visits were deeply enriching for my cats (tons of play time - more than I regularly do with them!) and it was such a treat to know that not only were their basic needs for food/water/litter met, but also that they had the pleasure of Mela’s company twice a day. It made my trip so much more enjoyable because while I missed my cats, I could look forward to the excellent updates (fun details about playtime and each cat’s mood and activities for the day) and a sweet assortment of photos of my babies, all while knowing they had great company and a loving proxy in the form of Mela. Mela handled my very detailed/slightly neurotic instructions with ease and was such a joy to work with that I rebooked her for a future trip halfway through my original trip, simply because of how delighted I was with her service. Five very enthusiastic stars for every possible component of Mela’s work. My cats loved her and I did too!”
