“Hayley took incredible care of my two boys, and did so with less than 24 hours notice. She saved my trip from falling through and provided the most rock solid dog sitting service i’ve ever received. Will be returning with Hayley and your pets would love her as much as my boys did!”

“Mikayla stayed with our 2 dogs and 2 cats for a long weekend. She came over twice before the wkend to learn about the house and pets. Communication was easy and fast before and during the stay. The most challenging job at our house is bringing the cats in at night which she conquered. She asked good questions and did a good job. We will definitely hire Mikayla again!”

“I’m always relieved to leave my Shady with Kaylee because I know he will be in the best hands! She sends so many updates and is great with giving him his meds. We love Kaylee!”

About: I was raised around dogs and currently share my home with three cats, which has given me a genuine understanding of animal behavior and how to meet each pet where they are. I pet sit regularly for family and friends, and I’m comfortable caring for pets at every life stage: from puppies who need patience and structure to senior pets who need a gentler, more attentive touch. Whether that means keeping a high-energy dog properly exercised, giving a shy cat space to warm up, or watching closely over an older pet, I take the responsibility seriously because I know your pets are family. I’m an early riser, I’m usually up by 5am, so morning pet care, walks, and feedings fit naturally into my day before anything else gets going. I work a daytime schedule during the week, but my mornings and evenings are wide open for check-ins, walks, and playtime, and I’m active in the evenings anyway, so getting a dog out for a real walk is never a chore for me. Weekends are the most flexible, and that’s when I’m happiest to take on longer sits or full-day care. Whatever your pet’s routine looks like, I’ll keep it consistent. Animals do best when their schedule stays steady, and I’m reliable about sticking to it. I care for pets in your home, where they’re most comfortable. Each visit covers feeding, fresh water, litter or potty breaks, and plenty of attention and play. For walks, I follow your dog’s usual route and pace, and I’ll happily go longer for high-energy pups. I’m comfortable giving medications, and I’m glad to keep your home looking lived-in too: bringing in mail, packages, and watering plants. I always stick to your pet’s routine, watch for anything off, and send photo updates so you know they’re doing well.

About: I have loved and cared for pets my entire life. After years of looking after the animals of friends and family, I am excited to expand my services and provide that same trusted, dedicated care to your furry family members! I am a small business owner at a salon and also work part-time as a gym receptionist. Since my shifts are only 2 to 3 hours long, I have a lot of flexibility! As a proud owner of three cats, I know exactly what it takes to keep animals happy, healthy, and safe. I treat every pet in my care with the same patience and love I give my own. Whether your pet loves energetic playtime or quiet companionship, I tailor my routine to their specific needs. I am highly attentive to feeding schedules, clean environments, and providing plenty of affection so you can have total peace of mind while you're away!
“Rose did an amazing job with our Macie! She kept us updated with notes and pictures and we could tell Macie was very comfortable with Rose. We will definitely be using her again and Highly recommend Rose for your babies!”

“There truly aren’t enough good words to describe Cameron. She is incredibly reliable, calming, and trustworthy—and she stepped in at the last moment to completely save the day. Knowing our dogs were in such capable, caring hands put our minds totally at ease. We’re beyond grateful.”

About: Ive grown up with cats and dogs. And have cared for and raised my own cat and dogs through college and young adult life. I even grew up on a farm with cows, ducks, chickens and even a hedgehog! I currently have a cavapoo named Beignet who is my absolute heart and I’d love to be able to spend time with your pet too! I can do Friday - weekend boarding, weekday evening walks, and Friday - weekend walks of any time and length and home check- ins as well. I have a fenced yard and a cavapoo who loves other animals and people! Can introduce her to your pet or keep them separate for boarding purposes. Or walk them together. I love to leash walk dogs and reinforce and teach basic skills if requested, although disclaimer I’m not a professional or certified trainer by any means. Just happy to help in any way possible.
About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds since I can remember. I grew up with at least 3-4 dogs in my household at all times, volunteered at the local animal shelter to help take care of the overflow of dogs, fostered a litter of puppies, and of course the occasional dog sitting for a neighbor or family friend. I am currently working 2 part time jobs at the moment, but they usually include short days and hours. I am mostly available from mid afternoon to nighttime on any given day, especially weekends! Schedule is subject to change weekly. I have a big kennel in my home if it’s ever needed. I also have plenty of toys, treats, and other equipment like poop bags, leashes, or harnesses.
“Freddie was very sweet and open to all my communications about my dogs' various quirks and personality traits. When my dog injured himself the night before her stay, she took all of his care instructions in stride. When I arrived home, both dogs were just as happy and healthy as ever.”

About: I've had dogs ever since I was a child. When I turned 16, I started dog sitting my family's and neighbor's dogs whenever they needed me. I have plenty of experience with anxious and high-energy dogs, as these are some of the types of dogs I've taken care of. I'm currently a full-time college student with a very flexible class schedule. I only have one class a day so I have plenty of free time to dog sit. I can take your dog out for walks, dog parks, pup cup dates, or just stay in with them. Whatever you're most comfortable with! I also would update y'all as often as possible.
“Savannah was great! She stayed in contact throughout the entire weekend away and sent updated and pictures! Would definitely recommend and use her again in the future!”

About: Senior care, puppy care. I can do both! Bonus, if your dog likes to run, so do I! Medications no problem, clipping nails, no problem. I work full time, so I’m available evenings, nights, and weekends. I can house sit certain nights, can do drop ins any day of the week. I have worked with a variety of species. I have no issues with reptiles, rodents, amphibians, cats, and dogs etc. I am passionate about animal care.
“Lyndsi was great! Punctual and went out of her way to make my pups feel comfortable in my absence. Even lending extra patience and care to help maintain cleanliness after puppy mishaps. Definitely grateful!”

“We have a German Shepherd that likes to bark at everyone, but when she first met Emma, she didn’t bark at her at all which was a great sign 💕 She was an amazing Sitter! She gave great communication our entire trip including pictures. She took really good care of our girl and when we came home, she seemed so happy! We will definitely reach out to Emma again if we ever need her and I highly recommend you do the same.”

“Tenay was absolutely amazing! She is knowledgeable and a TRUE lover of animals! It was love at first sight for my baby. He completely forgot that I was in the room...and I loved it! She communicated well, was prompt and went above and beyond. I will definitely use her consistently and would recommend her to anyone.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Zeeland Place
Harley was amazing with our dogs!! She asked so many good questions during the meet and greet and her interactions with them put our minds at ease before we even left town. She was a great communicator while they were in her care, and she even worked on some basic command training with our newest fur baby. She was attentive to their care and took good care of our home while we were away!

Lyndsi was awesome. She tolerated my, let's say, "quirky" pets, she was communicative and trustworthy, and I'm pretty sure my house is cleaner now than when I left, though that is NOT part of her job. Seriously, she made me feel comfortable leaving my loved ones in her hands, and when I returned, that trust was clearly earned. Full endorsement.
Cassidy was the sweetest! She was so kind and patient with our Great Dane, Daisy. She sent updates frequently and sent pictures. I had a stress free day knowing Daisy was safely with Cassidy. She would absolutely always be my first choice anytime I needed a sitter.

Cameron was very thorough with the requests we had for our pups. She was responsive throughout our booking and any concerns that came up. We returned to happy pups who got lots of love and attention that they are used to. We received pics and updates daily. When we returned home, we found the house looked clean and no messes. She took care of the property/belongings and cleaned up after herself and the dogs mess. Trustworthy. I would definitely recommend and use again :)

Eleana was truly amazing! She provided tbe best of the best sitting with the detailed updates and check ins, not afraid to ask questions, and taking care of not only our pack but also the house and yard. We will definitely be using her again. We recommend her with full confidence for your fur babies

Alyssa did a wonderful job watching our dogs while on vacation! We ended up having last minute medication for one of the dogs and she was having to wear the cone-of-shame! Alyssa handled it all like a champ!! We received pics and updates. Was very thankful to have her stay at my home. Will use her again for sure!♥️

Michael did an excellent job taking care of our little dachshund. Communicated well, sent lots of pics, and spent time with her which we really appreciated. She is an older doggie with special needs which required specifically timed medications which Michael had no problem doing. He took her for short walks and gave her cuddle time. Our home was left very clean. Highly recommend him as long as we get him first!

We were so pleased with Samantha. She house/dog sat for us this past weekend. She communicated with us all weekend about Duke and Lady which we rate very highly. We have older labs and one has to have medication twice a day. They eat twice a day and go to bed around a certain time. She handled all of this really well. We will hire her in the future.

Megan was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to care for [pet’s name], and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in her hands. She was attentive, loving, and professional — checking in regularly and making sure everything was perfect. I could tell she truly cares about animals, and it shows in everything she does. I can’t recommend her enough and will definitely be booking with her again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Zeeland Place on Rover is $38.85 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Zeeland Place walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Zeeland Place maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Zeeland Place choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Zeeland Place. On Rover:
- 71% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
