Safety, trust & environment

While my yard is fenced in with a wooden privacy fence, the pups are still monitored while outside. While at a client’s house, the pups are also not outside without being monitored. If there is no fence, the pups are leashed up. I pay close attention to the pets and keep everything that they should not have out of reach.

Information Megan D. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know of what your pet’s day generally looks like. This helps me plan fun activities for them to help keep them happy while you are gone! Please let me know of any special needs, allergies, or anything else that may need to be mentioned.

A typical day

I love to stimulate your pup’s mentally and physically. I accomplish this by using fun activities which include lick mats, training easy tricks or working already known behaviors, walks, playing, or training them to take cute pictures with new and fun toys and props.

Caring Veterinary Student!

Pet care experience

Being a veterinary student at LSU, my passion for animals and their care is a huge part of my life. I was a vet tech for 2 years before going to vet school, which expanded my knowledge of the medical needs and how to address them of a just about any pet. I have always had my own animals growing up including but not limited to dogs, cats, a bunch of goats and sheep, a couple of cows, multiple species of birds, chickens, ducks, hedgehog, rabbits, and the list goes on. From my experience at the animal clinic I worked at and the experience from wonderful animal babies that have fallen under my care, I am confident in my ability of caring for just about any animal with any need. I strive to give the pets the best care, which includes but is not limited to: nutrition, mental stimulation with games and toys, physical stimulation according to the dog’s activity level, and whatever else is needed. I love training my own pups obedience and fun tricks to help keep their minds working. I can promise your pets will be treated with the same love and dedication that is given to my own babies. I will update with photos and accommodate to any special needs you request for your pet.

Megan D. took great care of my 17 year old Shiz tzu. She catered to his needs as he has cataracts and is in slow motion. She was very patient and kind with him. We were lucky to find Megan. Highly recommend her.

Megan is a great pet sitter. My cats are in good hands when she takes care of them. I never worry how they are doing because I get great updates and pictures daily. So happy to have her as a pet sitter.

Megan stayed with my 2 chihuahuas for 8 days--she is incredible!! My pups love her, and we love her. She is so sweet, thoughtful, and kind, and takes GREAT care of my furbabies. One of my chihuahuas takes seizure medicine 3X daily, and Megan had no problem with that. She took great care of our house too. We were so blessed to have found her on Rover!

Megan was awesome!!! My dog, Scruffy, is 16 years old and has cataracts and can't hear well anymore. Scruffy has become anxious and wants me around 24 hours a day. He whines when I am not in the room with him. I was very hesitant to go on vacation because I was worried about him. Fortunately, Scruffy loved Megan. She sent us updates and pics several times a day showing us that Scruffy was totally content so we could enjoy our vacation. Megan gave him his medicine every day which can be challenging for us. Megan is a reliable, caring, and a great Pet Sitter. Of course, when we came home from vacation, Scruffy was excited to see us. When Megan left to go home, Scruffy walked around the kitchen looking for her which pleasantly surprised me because Scruffy is a Mama's boy. I can now take vacation and not worry, because I found the perfect Pet Sitter for Scruffy - An LSU Vet Student with a big caring heart for animals!!!
