About: It is my passion to work with animals. Truly nothing brings me more joy than helping out any animal from small bugs, to pets, to large exotic animals. I worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility in Illinois and now I am going to school to become a Veterinary Technician here in Baton Rouge! I even worked at the Shedd Aquarium when I lived in Chicago, where I grew up. I also volunteered at various animal shelters back in Illinois and helped with the TNR programs for cats! I am currently in school and have in-person classes on Tuesday's and Thursdays. I have plenty of time to look after your pets on the rest of the weekdays and weekends! About: I've been around animals of all kinds since I was young. I even lived on a farm at one point in time working with animals ranging from rabbits to cattle. I've done volunteer work at shelters and taken care of dogs and cats belonging to friends and family. I also have my own pup, Pace, who I've taken care of for over 9 years. I love all animals, especially dogs, and have experience with walking, feeding and taking care of many breeds of all sizes. I am a full time college student, however my afternoons are almost completely free during the week. Boarding or overnight sitting throughout the week is off the table, however I will be as flexible as possible to accommodate drop ins, walks and sitting during the day. While I don't have my own place at the moment, I have experience with dogs in almost any home environment. I have no problem with structuring and handling feeding, walks or playtime. I might even enjoy it more than they will.

About: I have over a year of experience in animal daycare and/or kennel settings, and can quickly assess a pet's body language and accomodate for discomfort or unique needs. I have a part time job Monday through Wednesday, but I can make myself available with enough planning ahead, and usually have afternoons and evenings free. I need at least two day's notice for weekends. I follow client's intructions to the letter when caring for pets at their home. When needed (e.g. for brachycephalic dogs) I will ask for a safe harness or collar option to avoid restricted breathing.

Alyssa took very good care of Twinkle. Twinkle is an elderly cat who needs special attention to her diet. Alyssa monitored Twinkle’s eating and adjusted her food choices as needed to make sure Twinkle was eating well. Highly recommend Alyssa. Samantha was an excellent cat sitter, and I would absolutely book her again. She was reliable, excellent at communicating, and clearly very attentive to our kittens. While we were away, she checked in with questions when needed, confirmed details, and reassured us that everything was taken care of. She followed feeding instructions carefully, made sure both the kittens and outdoor cats were cared for, and gave the kittens plenty of love and attention.
