About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds since I can remember. I grew up with at least 3-4 dogs in my household at all times, volunteered at the local animal shelter to help take care of the overflow of dogs, fostered a litter of puppies, and of course the occasional dog sitting for a neighbor or family friend. I am currently working 2 part time jobs at the moment, but they usually include short days and hours. I am mostly available from mid afternoon to nighttime on any given day, especially weekends! Schedule is subject to change weekly. I have a big kennel in my home if it’s ever needed. I also have plenty of toys, treats, and other equipment like poop bags, leashes, or harnesses.
“Brijaye showed up on time every day (weekday, weekend and holiday) and took great care of my 3 cats. I even saw them waiting by the door for her to arrive in the morning. She sent several pics each day and a little note about each one's behaviors (eating, hiding, etc). I highly recommend her and will definitely will plan to use her services again!”

“Katie was so wonderful!! She accepted my last minute request for a drop-in visit and made me feel so comfortable and secure that my pets were loved and taken care of. She sent great photos! I would absolutely use her again.”

“Christen did such an amazing job taking care of our dog and cat! I really appreciated the walks and photos. I definitely felt that Mango and Virgo were getting great care with Christen, allowing for me and my girls to have a wonderful vacation.”

“Tessie did a great job checking in on our girls! We have one who is very shy and she still get her a couple treats. Then she entertained our kitten for the rest of the drop in to get some energy out. Will be using her again!”

About: I’ve had the privilege of making animal care my life for the past 30+ years. I’ve worked at 2 zoos, a wildlife preserve and now I pet sit full time. I love meeting new pets and their parents. My main priority is ensuring your animal is comfortable and safe while you’re away. I strive to give peace of mind to any worried pet parents. 😊 My favorite activities with your Furkid include enrichment with toys, fetching, dispensing treats and rubbing backs and bellies. I can medicate, give insulin and prepare special diets. I’m also trained in animal first aid and I excel at following directions. Animal care is all I do. I can do daily walks/visits up to 3 times a day. I’m also available for house sitting and overnights. I have a number of clients in the Baton Rouge area with different pet care needs and I make my own schedule. I stick to their usual daily routine or follow whatever instructions are left. I like to keep a consistent visit/feeding/potty time. I have a lot of patience and will encourage your pet to socialize with me. We can do whatever they like, play with toys, take walks, eat treats, rub backs or just sit together. I also water plants, check mail/paper and keep a general an eye on things.
“Kaylee is the best! She came over to let out my shady with just a one hour notice and she leaves such detailed overviews, and sends so many photos! Shady loves her and is always happy when she comes for a visit.”

We have a private fenced in yard for those that need ample activity. Pets are cared for in the home but also have their own room for when they need a quiet corner.

Let’s Meet! Send me a message anytime to arrange a meet & greet — I’m happy to make sure you and your pets feel comfortable before booking. I wake up around 6:30-8:00 AM most days and get right to work caring for the pets. Everyone is let out in backyard, or leashed up for a walk around the block. Pets are diligently cared for. Usually this consists of at least 3 walks per day, a visit to the park, and plenty of backyard time. I spend all day with the animals, leaving only for a personal errand or visit to the store. Each animal is analyzed carefully & fit into proper schedules according to their personality, levels of energy, and socialization. I provide a secure, fenced-in yard and individual kennels for each pet’s comfort and safety. Dogs start their day around 6:30–8:00 AM with a 10 to 30-minute walk, followed by supervised backyard playtime and snacks. Kennels are used only for rest and feeding—pets spend the majority of their day active, social, and engaged. I tailor care to each pet’s needs, whether that includes frequent park trips, light obedience training, short backyard outings or bathing. My goal is to ensure every animal feels safe, loved, and enriched in a clean, well-maintained environment.
About: I’ve owned all types animals ranging from dogs and cats to birds and reptiles. They have all lived long and spoiled lives. I set walk or restroom schedules based on the needs of the pets and adhere to all rules given by the owners. I’m a very detailed-oriented person. I’ve been dog sitting and dog walking for friends and ex-coworkers for the last three years. I really enjoy spending time with animals and helping people out. It can be stressful trying to work or go on vacation and constantly worrying about your four-legged family members. You can rest assured that your pet(s) will be in good hands. I work full-time Mon-Fri from 8 am until 4 pm. I’m available for lunchtime potty and play breaks if needed. My nights and weekends are free to give your fur family the attention and care they deserve. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Acadian Place. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
