“I have a hard time leaving my cats, and one of them needs insulin, but I was pretty much at ease as soon as met Roxanne. She has experience with animals and my cats seemed to like her. The trip went well and I didn’t worry because she was easy to communicate with and reliable. I’d recommend her & I’d use her again”

“Jackie was amazing with our pup! You can tell she really has a heart for them. Our rescue has anxiety issues , but Jackie took the time and patience that it took to make her comfortable. We highly recommend her!”

About: I have over 12 years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all sizes, from large farm animals like cows and horses to household pets including dogs, cats, and rabbits. My background includes working with both family pets and farm animals, giving me experience with different temperaments, routines, and care needs. In addition to my professional and educational experience, I also raise and care for my own animals, including rabbits, poultry, dogs, and cats. I am currently pursuing a B.S. in Animal Science with a minor in Histotechnology, along with a dual major in Canine Management and Training. My education has strengthened my knowledge of animal behavior, health, handling, and proper care techniques. In addition to my schooling, I was involved in 4-H for 10 years and FFA for 6 years, where I gained extensive experience in animal husbandry, responsibility, and daily animal care. I have also worked as a kennel assistant in a veterinary hospital and as a stable hand at a horse rescue ranch, where I assisted with feeding, cleaning, exercise, monitoring animal health, and providing compassionate care. I am also comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions to ensure pets stay healthy and comfortable. What sets me apart is my combination of real-world animal experience, formal education, and genuine passion for animal care. I am comfortable caring for pets of different ages, sizes, and energy levels, and I strive to provide safe, patient, and reliable care that helps pets feel comfortable and owners feel confident. I am currently a college student home for the summer, looking to stay busy. I work as a softball coach on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as weekends. While I am not coaching, I am looking to spend my time with animals. Pets in my care are treated like family, and their safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. At my home, we have 20 wooded acres with plenty of space for exercise, enrichment, and outdoor time. Dogs can enjoy supervised leash walks or long-line walks, depending on their needs and the owner’s preference. I always make sure pets are safely handled and closely supervised at all times. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and relaxed in their familiar environment. I pay close attention to feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions to make sure each pet gets the care they are used to. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while giving owners peace of mind that their pets are in good hands.
“Michael, is fantastic. He was very communicative and even offered to grab packages while we were out of town. He sent photos from all visits and was diligent about cleaning the cat boys box and ensuring that they were fed separately due to dietary requirements. We will absolutely be working with him again A+. Thank you for an awesome experience!”

“Lauren was amazing. Her communication and immediate response times were hugely appreciated. I felt very comfortable having her in my home and trusting our dog with her care. We will definitely book with her again!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life, for as long as I can remember we always had 3 dogs. I've been pet sitting on-and-off since I was a teenager and have experience caring for all ages and sizes! I worked for Angel of Hope Animal Shelter for over two years as their marketing specialist (2019-2021), after I left and accepted a different position, I stayed on as a foster parent for awhile before I had to officially resign - I was switched to night-shift at work and was no longer able to continue care at the standard I wanted. I have experience working with tripod (three-legged) dogs and cats, administering oral medications, and treating diabetes/administering insulin to cats. I am passionate about pets and dedicated to their well-being, I offer top-notch dog walking and pet care services that ensure your furry friends are happy, healthy, and loved. Caring for pets in my client's home involves a personalized and attentive approach to ensure each pet feels comfortable and loved. Here's how I do it: 1. Initial Meet & Greet: I always start with a supervised meet & greet. I’ll work with you to understand your pet's routine, preferences, and any special needs or medical requirements. This also helps the pets feel more comfortable with later drop in visits when their pawrents aren’t home. 2. Customized Care Plans: Based on the consultation, I’ll work with you to create a customized care plan tailored to your pet's unique needs, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care instructions. 3. Comfort and Familiarity: I prioritize making your pet feel safe and comfortable in their home environment by maintaining their usual routine. 4. Daily Walks and Exercise: For dogs, I offer daily walks and playtime to ensure they get the physical activity and mental stimulation they need. 5. Health and Hygiene: I will monitor your pet's health, administer any necessary medications, and maintain their grooming and hygiene needs. 7. Communication and Updates: I’ll keep you informed with regular updates, photos, and videos of your pet, so you can have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. 8. Emergency Preparedness: I am trained to handle emergencies and have a plan in place for any unexpected situations, ensuring your pet's safety at all times. By offering comprehensive, compassionate, and reliable care, I strive to make every pet feel at home and every pet owner feel confident in their choice of care provider.

“Tiffany and her daughter came into our home to watch Alex. They both did a wonderful job with Alex. He can be quite the challenge at times due to his anxiety issues. She kept us well informed and we also received pictures. Any questions that we had regarding Alex's well-being, she answered promptly. I would absolutely not hesitate to have Tiffany and her daughter to come back in our home to watch Alex in the future.”

“Absolutely incredible sitter! Katelyn took care of my dog, Lola, for two weeks, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Lola adored her from the very beginning, and it was clear every single day that she was in loving, capable hands. Katelyn went above and beyond—not only did she keep Lola safe, happy, and well-loved, she even taught her a couple of new tricks while I was away! She sent updates, was attentive to everything Lola needed, and treated her with the same affection and patience that I would. Coming home to a relaxed, confident dog who clearly had the best time was such a gift. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, kind, reliable, and genuinely great with animals, I can’t recommend Katelyn enough. She’s fantastic.”

- 94% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
