“I have a hard time leaving my cats, and one of them needs insulin, but I was pretty much at ease as soon as met Roxanne. She has experience with animals and my cats seemed to like her. The trip went well and I didn’t worry because she was easy to communicate with and reliable. I’d recommend her & I’d use her again”

“Alexandra was a wonderful person to work with to help care for our dog. Her communication was spectacular and our puppy was happy. I look forward to working with her again.”

About: I have two cats, Lionel and Stella, both are my absolute world. I fully understand how much our pets mean to us, they are our family, and we want them in the best care. I will love and care for your pet like they are my own 🤍 I work full time, Monday through Friday, but can check-in on your pet after work and available on the weekends. I can provide a safe comfortable place for your pet to stay while you are away. Your pet will have my full attention, they will be well fed and will receive plenty of love and care. I can provide proof of life photos upon requests.

About: I have owned 2 dogs, one that was a bigger rescue dog and that delt with arthritis and a few other health issues. Then currently I have a 1 year old mini dachshund who is fully of life and a little hyper. I have also dog sat for many family and friends over the years. So I have experience working with many types of dogs and am comfortable around all types. When it comes to taking care of your baby, I will dedicate my time to focus on them and their needs. I love playing with dogs, bringing them for walks, if allowed I would love to bring them to a dog park for some social time, or just to get some more exercise! I have also trained my mini dachshund how to do some fun tricks like shake, roll over, spin, and weave between my legs, so if your wanting some fun tricks for your dog I can definitely show/train your dog how to do some! I am usually pretty open after 10:30am Mon-Thur. Then Fri-Sun I am open most of the day. I just need a few days notice so that I am not double scheduling your walk or drop in with my work schedule! Currently, I am only accepting dog walks and drop in visits in your home. I prefer a meet and greet beforehand to make sure I am the right fit for you and your baby.

“Kayla is the best! She was very accommodating to the needs of our dogs and made me feel comfortable leaving my younger dog for the first time. The smiles on my dogs faces said it all. We will definitely be asking her to watch our boys again!”

“Absolutely incredible sitter! Katelyn took care of my dog, Lola, for two weeks, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Lola adored her from the very beginning, and it was clear every single day that she was in loving, capable hands. Katelyn went above and beyond—not only did she keep Lola safe, happy, and well-loved, she even taught her a couple of new tricks while I was away! She sent updates, was attentive to everything Lola needed, and treated her with the same affection and patience that I would. Coming home to a relaxed, confident dog who clearly had the best time was such a gift. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, kind, reliable, and genuinely great with animals, I can’t recommend Katelyn enough. She’s fantastic.”

“My first time using Jackie and my dog was well cared for. Communication through the day kept me at ease leaving my dog in her care. She followed all my directions and best of all left my dog fed, exercised and happy.”

“Lauren was wonderful with our big guy Max. She was very communicative and sent lots of pictures of him enjoying the deck outside. She brushed him and made sure he got lots of attention while we were gone. It truly made our vacation much more enjoyable knowing she would be stopping by to spend time with him. I would highly recommend Lauren.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chisago City
Kayla was amazing with our three cats, Bandit, Wheatley, and Picard, while we were gone for four days. She made sure Bandit got his medicine, spent time playing with them, and left us a sweet message and even a little goodie bag. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We’d definitely book her again!

I was in a bind, my husband was taken to a hospital that specializes in cardiology over an hour away. It was an extreme emergency with little time to get help so I could stay longer than 6 - 8 hours. Her quick response and drop in made it possible for me to stay with my husband longer and hear the Dr.’s Doagnosis. She is great with our dog.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
