“Kathryn was extremely nice and easy to work with. She responded promptly and was very accommodating. Loki had a great time with her, and we would definitely feel comfortable leaving him with her again.”

“Shelly is the best! She takes care of my dog like no other….even after he’s had surgery (neutered and leg surgery!! Rocky is always so happy to spend time with her. Thank you Shelly!”

About: Hi, I’m Autumn! While I’m new to Rover, I am not new to dogs! Animals have been a huge part of my entire life! At 16, I started working as a kennel assistant at a veterinary clinic. I went on to receive my degree in veterinary technology and dedicated almost 10 years as a tech. Now, I’d love to continue caring for pets beyond the clinic! My husband and I own a 1/2 acre of acre of land in Forest Lake. We have one dog, a senior Shih Tzu named Nala! For the safety of all dogs, I do require they are comfortable being kenneled during times I am away or sleeping. Otherwise, they are free to follow me around the house or even nap on the couch! Caring for animals is my top priority, so I have the flexibility to be home with all pets for the majority of the day, every day! In our home, pets are family! We offer a large lawn to allow your pets plenty of room to exercise. Plenty of snuggles and playtime will be offered along with daily walks as requested/weather permitting. Crating is utilized for safety when pets are not directly supervised (home alone or bedtime). Any other needs? No problem! I know each and every pet has their own unique preferences and needs.
“I was very impressed. They took very good care of our boy Toby. He was well loved and he got along very well with their dogs. Especially loved Shelby. He had a few rough patches but they got through it, figured it out and still loved him no less. He didn’t want to leave Shelby. But was definitely happy to be home!”

“Brenda and Alvin provide awesome dog care, especially with new pets. They do everything they can to make the dog feel comfortable and well cared for. Our dog initially was a little anxious and nervous. Brenda and Alvin gave her space and time to adjust but also coaxed her out of her crate and gave her attention, play time and walks. They also kept me informed twice a day with reports and pictures to let me know how Wednesday was doing. I can’t thank them enough or praise them enough for their wonderful care of our dear little girl!”

“Julie took such great care of my dog! She sent photos and videos during our stay and made me feel at ease knowing my senior dog was as being taken care of and was more than happy!”

“Rosie was very happy at Kyle’s. We saw some sweet photos of her during her stay. We appreciated your flexibility in picking her up too. Thanks much. We will definitely request to rebook with Kyle.”

“Elizabeth and Eric are dog people! I doubt you can find a dog they don't love. They made my hyper active lab mix very happy. We appreciate them and will return if needed”

“Jordon and Melissa took great care of our mini golden doodle puppy for a long weekend sending lots of pictures of her having so much fun with the whole family! They were also flexible with our pick up and drop off which we really appreciated.”

“Dave is such a blessing! Thanks for bringing out the best in our dog & seeing why we live her so much. Thanks for your kind words & opening your heart and home to her! We will call you again for doggie day care and for overnight boarding! :)”

“Jenell was awesome! She took great care of our Marian while we were away for a few days. She sent updates with pictures, which put my mind at ease and I knew that Marian was in great hands. Highly recommend and will be contacting her again when we need a sitter.”

“David and his family are A+ sitters. My pup Rebel absolutely loved hanging out while I was gone. I came across David and requested to book last minute for a weeks time. He was very gracious in acknowledging my need and had no problem helping me out! Daily photos were sent and with the family's experience in raising show dogs, I had no worries with leaving Rebel with them. If David is available, I'll be using him anytime I need to travel.”

“Katie provided care for my two elderly dogs; with one requiring a twice per day insulin injection. Katie was wonderful and she sent daily pictures to show how great the they were doing. Her children showered the dogs with attention and snuggling. She was very flexible when I needed to unexpectedly extend their stay by and additional day. I would highly recommend her.”
“Ronda was a fabulous care giver for my stinker Daisy. She communicated often and very well and knew exactly what to do. I would highly recommend her and will be seeking her love and care for my pet in the future. She is a gem.”

“James and Lauryn were clearly affectionate toward Lila and immediately brought her into their family. She was well taken care for and tended to as if she were their own.”

“Sandy was great! This was our first time using her and I was a little concerned because my dog is somewhat anxious in new situations. She really worked to help him become comfortable in the new surroundings. Within an hour of leaving him I had two messages with pictures letting me know he had settled in. I was so happy that he was in good hands and it is clear she goes above and beyond to make sure the dog is relaxed and content when he is with her. We will be using Sandy again!”

“McKayla and Dillon are Star Sitters for a reason: They really care for their guests. They saw our Ozzy did not like their wood floors, so they provided rugs and towels for him to move around on! They are attentive not only to the apparent needs of their house guests, but also make them feel at home by keeping close to home schedules, providing lots of active time/walks, and include important, quiet, "family" time. They are great "pack" leaders! We couldn't be more pleased with the love and care Ozzy received, as well as the accommodations they made to help us with our travel plans. Thanks!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
