About: Hailing from an animal loving family, I've taken care of both dogs and cats since I was a very young child. I've worked with small and large, young and old, male and female, loud ones, quiet ones lol, playful, not so playful haha. I have one current furchild and best child, Sunny, who is very friendly and outgoing with all walks of life. I'm a freelance photographer with a flexible schedule. During the summer I work some local farmers markets but most of the time I am home hanging with Sunny, going on an adventure with him, or doing a photo shoot either in my home studio or on location in the area. Bonus, I can take a professional photo of your baby in my home studio! I have a huge fenced in backyard perfect for zoomies and playing and my neighborhood, in general, is extremely dog friendly with plenty of walking trails. With your consent, I'm also happy to take your pup to the beach, for a pup cup, to the dog park, or any other suitable adventure. I have two large crates if needed and treats, toys, and balls galore.
“Jordan was an absolute delight! She has great communication skills and a lovely personality to match. She’s also accommodating and great at keeping us updated with photos/videos and text messages. My dogs love her, her boyfriend, and her sweet puppy, Theo. I would most definitely recommend. 10/10.”

“Taylor and his family were SO sweet and I could not be more grateful for them! Taylor sent lots of pictures and I could tell Beaux had a great time. We will definitely be booking with Taylor next time we’re in the area.”

“Valerie was wonderful with my pup. She sent updates and kept me informed as to how my pup did while he was with her. Her home and yard were safe and appropriate for pet sitting. I am very thankful that we found her to care for our boy.”

“Jerry was absolutely amazing! My booking was pretty last minute because I was so scrambled that weekend, but Jerry was able to pull through and helped me so much! Bud looked like he had an absolute blast with Jerry and Bud got taken on so many new adventures which he looked like he absolutely loved. Jerry was even able to pick up Bud for me which saved me so much time that morning and gave him a bath for me before I went to go pick up Bud later that day! Jerry is literally so amazing and I will definitely book with him again in the future!”

About: Having been around and owned different animals all my life, I have years of experience with dog routines, feeding schedules, training habits and cuddles. I enjoy playing fetch and walking my pup daily and would love to include yours! I'm a stay at home mom so I'm around all the time for all your pets needs. I am available 7 days a week. I have a fenced in yard with a very friendly Lab and daughter that will keep your pup company. Going for walks or runs in the mornings with plenty of fetch in the backyard is a good day here.
About: I am a dog lover. I have watched my family and friends pets for many years. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I work from home Monday-Friday. My schedule is flexible to what might be needed whether drop ins, walks, etc. I am available on the weekends as well. I will do what’s needed based on the animals needs: playing with the animals, feeding and watering, checking food/water sources, going on walks, and more.
“Maggie - my 8 yr old Labrador pet therapy dog - had a great time. Got walked, had a few other dogs to socialize with. Julia did an excellent job - we rebooked for a longer stay.”

“Steven and his family did a fantastic job caring for my pup! Walks, play and he even gave him a bath after a long day of play. Steven was very cordial, prompt and sent some pics throughout the day!”

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was young. I started caring for dogs and cats were neighbors, friends, and family around age 10, and have also gained around three years of professional experience working in dog boarding facilities. Through my experience, I have cared for puppies, senior pets, dogs of all sizes and personalities, cats, and multi pet households. I am comfortable with walks, feeding routines, playtime, crate routines, senior care, and routine medication administration. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to make sure each one feels safe, comfortable, and loved. My background as a birth Doula has strengthened my patience, compassion, organization, and ability to stay calm under pressure. I bring those same qualities into pet care by providing dependable communication, attention to detail, and a calm presence for your pets while you’re away. I’m also a proud dog mom, and I know firsthand that pets are family. My goal is to treat every pet like my own while giving you peace of mind through reliable care, updates, and lots of love. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and is something I truly enjoy being a part of my life. Because I work as a birth doula with a mix of scheduled and on-call availability, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, drop in visits, and companionship for your pets throughout the day or night. I am open about my availability and will always communicate my on-call dates with pet parents ahead of time. When I am available, I have the flexibility to dedicate quality time to your pets and provide reliable, attentive care. If a birth call overlaps with a booking, I will communicate as early as possible and make sure we have a clear plan in place. My goal is to create a dependable routine for your pets, while giving you peace of mind that they are cared for, loved, and never forgotten. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities when caring for your pets. Whether I’m caring for them in your home or providing visits, I focus on maintaining their normal routine and creating a calm, familiar environment, where they feel secure. When caring for pets in their own home, I believe consistency is key. I follow your instructions carefully, respect your space, keep your home, secure, and pay attention to the little details that help your pets to feel comfortable while you’re away. I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident that your pets are happy and well cared for. For walks and drop in visits, I prioritize, safe handling, awareness of surroundings, and your pets individual needs and personality. I take the time to understand their routines, triggers, preferences, and comfort level before providing care. As an animal lover, pet parent, and experienced caregiver, I understand the trust involved in allowing someone to take care of your furry family members. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and dependable experience that gives both you and your pets peace of mind.
“Jessica & Kevin were fantastic! My dog came home super tired after playing with their dog all day. I Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my pup. 10 out of 10 recommended and will definitely be using again.”

“My pups had a great time at Andrea's house. She sent photos and updates about them throughout the day. She also accommodated our needs for an early drop off time as well as a late pickup. We will book with her again!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. While I don't currently have pets at my apartment where I'll be pet sitting, my family has five dogs, so I'm very familiar with caring for multiple dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I volunteered with a local animal rescue throughout all four years of high school, where I cared for dogs of all ages and temperaments by walking, feeding, socializing, and helping them feel safe and comfortable while they waited to find their forever homes. During that time, I also served as a foster, providing temporary homes for rescue dogs and helping them adjust to a loving environment. These experiences taught me patience, responsibility, and how to build trust with animals. In college, I served as the Treasurer for UNCW's Service Dog Training and Education Program (STEP) for two years. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, my involvement with the organization gave me valuable experience working alongside service dogs and handlers. I'm happy to reinforce basic training, good manners, and routines while your pet is in my care. One thing that sets me apart is that I work from home, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. They'll rarely be left alone, and I'll be able to stick closely to their normal routine, whether that means regular potty breaks, playtime, walks, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company. I understand that every pet is unique, and my goal is to make them feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I'll care for your pet as if they were one of my own and will always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy complete peace of mind. Because I work from home, pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm able to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and supervised care throughout the day. Your pet won't be left alone for long periods, and I can easily accommodate their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and at ease. My schedule is flexible, allowing me to provide morning, afternoon, and evening care. Whether your pet needs an active day filled with walks and play or simply a calm, cozy environment with lots of love and attention, I'm happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, preferences, and any special instructions so I can provide care that's as close to home as possible. Because I work from home, I'll be with your pet for most of the day to provide supervision, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where your pet will have a safe, calm environment to relax and feel at home. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member, and I'll treat your pet with the same love and attention I'd give my own.
“Allie is the best! We were in town and she cared for Mabel both days. You can’t find a better day care for dogs. It’s obvious Allie loves what she does. We will be back again!”

About: Having grown up on a farm, I have been around animals all my life. Currently, I live behind the university with my two cavaliers on a little less than an acre. My two are wonderful with other dogs and looking for some playmates. My fenced-in backyard makes for the perfect playground, and your dogs will be free to come and go as they please from inside to the fenced in area. I have boarded as many as 4 dogs at one time and have cared for senior dogs (18+). Reach out for information on boarding opportunities and/or for additional details. I am here full-time and available currently for boarding any time of the day as well as on weekends. I maintain full care of my two, so the more, the merrier! I have a fenced-in backyard that allows for safe and carefree playtime. My two dogs are very friendly and are sure to make for excellent playmates.
About: I have 3 dogs at home that range in size and personality! I love all animals and have pet sit for friends on multiple occasions! Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
