“Sue-Ling was amazing with my pup. It was his first time ever being boarded away from me and she kept me updated on him and how he was doing. She was very attentive. I will be booking with her again!”

“Andrew was great with communicating, ensured Rupert was safe and comfortable, and got lots of walks! He also sent update photos so I knew Rupert was enjoying himself and administered Rupert’s daily medications without a hitch! 10/10 would recommend!”

“Jerry was amazing and took excellent care of Raya. He even celebrated her first birthday with a pup cup and doggy cookies! I very much appreciated the updates and pictures of how she was doing. Highly recommend Jerry!”

“We love Haley and her sweet gentle little girl. They took great care of our Chi Chi. This was our 1st time using Rover and we were a little nervous. We will never be nervous again as long as Haley is available. Special points for her large backyard. Lots of room for pups to play.”

“Amy was awesome! It was my first time leaving Bailey with anyone other than family. I expected to be nervous but I felt very confident and at ease, especially when Amy sent me photos and videos of Bailey hanging out with her and her family. Bailey did great and I will definitely be calling Amy again when I need a sitter!”

About: Dogs have been part of my family for more than 25 years. Throughout that time, I've cared for dogs with different energy levels, temperaments, and needs. I treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and quality care while their owners are away. I have a schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. Whether it's sticking to feeding routines, going for walks, playing, or simply providing companionship, I make pet care a priority each day I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I'll follow your dog's routine as closely as possible, whether that's feeding schedules, walks, medications, or just giving them the extra attention they need. I want every dog to feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away, and I'll treat them like they're part of my own family.

“Taylor took great care of our 17 year old senior pup. She has an array of age-related needs, and he made sure she was comfortable, eating regularly, and getting outside...and all of those things are challenging for her at this point. I would highly recommend him!”

“Hilary took such great care of our girl! Sadie has a lot of quirks and takes time to warm up and Hilary was patient and understanding. I had a lot of peace of mind while we were away on our trip knowing she was well taken care of!”

“Christina S. and her husband took very good care of Rocket! They play with him, walk him, give frequent updates and pictures. 10/10 dog sitter and highly recommend! This was our second time using her and will be booking again! I never worry about our fur baby when I'm away.”

About: Ever since I was born I have lived with two pets. More recently, my parents bought a dog two years ago. This time around, I was a much bigger part in their upbringing (including training, feeding, all of their walking and exercise, playing, and just overall loving) because my parents traveled much more due to me and my siblings being older. My boyfriend and I always joked that he was almost our own dog! After moving out in December, I adopted my own dog in early February due to the heartbreak of missing my parents pup, and we couldn’t be happier with the decision. Our home is filled with so much more love and happiness since growing our little family. Other family meme ers (including my brother with his Akida) and friends have used me to dog-sit as well. Nothing would make me happier than to allow my little Theo to make new friends, while bringing love to pups when their parents need some extra help! Other than teaching a few yoga classes a week, I am an at home mathematics teacher. I get to make my own hours, and my pet and yours will always come first. I have a fenced deck with a 2 x 4 ft grass pad for potty time. My dog loves it! We still try to take 2-3 walks per day with mom and 1 with dad to ensure proper exercise. We also have a fenced in dog park and tennis courts where we take leashes off so we can all run around freely together! My pup (and yours!) staying safe, happy and healthy is always at the forefront of my mind. :-)
“Jenn and her son were so great with my dog, Mugsy. Mugsy is a little nervous around kids, but Jenn’s son was the perfect demeanor to put her at ease. They took Mugsy on plenty of walks and showed her lots of love. I would definitely hire Jenn again in the future for boarding!”
“Rachel could not have been more caring. Oliver enjoy his time with Rachel and loved his playtime. She was so thoughtful to send pics and videos of her stay with Oliver.”

“Valerie provided exceptional care, great communication, and made us feel completely at ease while away. Our sweet boy was happy, well cared for, and loved the attention. We received regular updates and photos, which meant so much. Highly recommend and would absolutely book again!”

“Carey was exceptionally responsive and accommodating. She took great care of our baby for over two weeks and sent many reassuring pictures. Dakota looks forward to staying with Carey and her family again.”

“Kelly was a great sitter! This was the first time we boarded our dog with her and she kept us updated everyday and sent the cutest pictures! It seemed like her whole family really enjoyed Dune’s company. She was very responsive and always answered right away. I really felt like our dog was in great hands! Would highly recommend Kelly for boarding!”

“Brooklin took amazing care of my cat, Lylla, while I was away. Lylla is very shy around new people, but Brooklin was incredibly patient and was able to get her to warm up, which says a lot! She went above and beyond to make sure Lylla was comfortable and cared for, even helping encourage her to eat when she wasn’t showing much interest in food. Communication was excellent throughout the entire stay. Brooklin kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my spoiled girl was in good hands. I could tell she genuinely cared about Lylla’s well-being and treated her like her own. I would absolutely book with Brooklin again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring pet sitter.”

“Tasha was amazing! I got my puppy during quarantine and was worried about the first time leaving him for more than a day or so. Tasha sent soooo many pictures and the dogs were so happy and well cared for. Will definitely be requesting her again next time I'm out of town!”

Hilary is caring dog owner who treated our puppy Taffy as if she were her own. We are very pleased with the care. We got frequent updates and pictures. Taffy made a point of going back in to say to her dog Sunny before we left. We have already booked our next vacation with Hilary. We have found Taffy’s home away from home.

Ryan was great! Made sure our babies were taken care of, got walks, and especially lots of snuggles, and he updated me on most days with pics. This was our first time using Rover (normally board the dogs), but I will definitely come back to Ryan next time we take a trip. Thanks for taking care of our love bugs, Ryan!

Audre was wonderful! She treated my dog, Alfie, like her own. She sent many pictures and kept me updated while I was away. She even cooked him a nice dinner of brown rice and veggies, which he absolutely loved! I would absolutely trust Audre to watch my dog again whenever I need to be out of town.

So happy I found Danielle. Dakota loved her right away, and she took great care of her while I was away for a full week. Dakota hurt her paw right before her stay and had to take medicine twice a day the entire time. Danielle was a true pro and kept me informed with lots of photos and videos each day, which I loved! Danielle will hands down be our go-to sitter from now on.

Rose took great care of our girl Jada! She sent us pictures of her sunbathing and lounging on the couch. This was the longest we had our pup stay with someone else & when we picked her up, she was happy & her normal self! Highly recommend. We already have peace of mind for a future stay in a few weeks with her knowing the past week went great.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
