“Robert was great! My dogs were tired and happy when picked up. Robert sent updates with photos and confirmed meal times. I had some things pop up that made my drop off/pick up time different than originally planned and Robert was very accommodating and easy to coordinate with. I'll use Robert again next time I'm in the Wilmington/CB area!”

“Kate was super friendly and took great care of my pup. He came home happy, tired and not stressed at all. She sent me pics and updates daily. She really put my mind at ease. I would use her again 100%”

“Desi is AWESOME! So friendly, helpful and amazing to work with. She took care of Maverick while we took a vacation at Beech Mountain. Plus, when we picked him up she had him fresh and bathed! when we come back we know where our dogs will go! Thank you again!!”
“Erin was a great sitter! She provided lots of updates and my cattle dog had lots of fun running around with her golden retriever in their huge fenced yard. Would definitely use Erin again in the future!”

“Lauren took great care of our 11-year-old lab/hound mix. Her dog and my dog got along well. Lauren sent updates once a day which was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend. We will reach out again when we are in Wilmington area.”

“Took care of Lupe on a 14 day trip. Lupe is a little older and a wheaten terrier. Sometimes with an older dog and a little terrier in her, she could be a little quirky. But Taylor and his family accommodated Lupe very nicely and I am very grateful to have had their service and allowed their home for Lupe to stay as I had to travel for work.”

“Michele was amazing! She sent regular updates and pics, allowed our dog to snuggle on the couch, has a great yard for the dog to run, and took her on regular walks. I will definitely be using Michele again!”

“Kim and her family are always so thoughtful and caring to our furbabies. She was provides updates and photos. We never worry while away because we know they are being taken care of. We will use Kim again. Thank you Kim.”

“Harley thoroughly enjoyed staying with Rebecca in her home. Rebecca took great care of Harley with companionship, walks, playing and feedings this past weekend. We would definitely ask Rebecca to watch Harley again. Thank your Rebecca - you're the best!!”

“Helena and her family were so good with our dog, Mugsy. She took the time to listen to and understand any special instructions, and sent us regular photos and updates. She reached out quickly when there was any questions or concerns. I can tell Helena truly loves dogs and treats them like family. Thank you for taking such good care of our pup!”
“Rachel could not have been more caring. Oliver enjoy his time with Rachel and loved his playtime. She was so thoughtful to send pics and videos of her stay with Oliver.”

About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats, and as an adult, I’ve had the privilege of caring for two blind rescue dogs, as well as my current lovable 16-pound Aussiedoodle, Zoey. Zoey lives with me and gets along well with other dogs. For the past 2½ years, I’ve owned and operated a dog-walking and cat-care business, caring for a variety of neighborhood pets. My experience includes three 19-year-old cats, two medium and large Doodles, a Dachshund I’ve cared for since he was just 10 weeks old, and dogs of many different mixed breeds, ages, and personalities. My approach is to always let the animal lead. Both of my rescue dogs came from very difficult circumstances, and I learned how important patience, trust, and a sense of safety are. Rather than expecting an animal to immediately feel comfortable with me, I give them the time and space they need to open up on their own. With a calm, loving, and safe environment, that trust usually begins to develop naturally. I’m especially comfortable with animals who may be shy, fearful, cautious, or unsure of strangers. I take a very gentle approach, allowing them to get to know me at their own pace. Once they feel safe and comfortable, that’s when the magic unfolds! I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, whether that means sleeping in a crate at night or curling up on the bed. I live in a first-floor apartment facing a nice open green space, which makes it easy to provide frequent potty breaks and neighborhood walks. With pet-parent permission, it’s my norm to send daily updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’m also comfortable administering medications and handling foods that require refrigeration or freezing. My schedule is fairly flexible, and I do my best to accommodate each pet’s individual routine and needs. Just let me know what works best for you and your pet! I am currently retired so I am home most of the day/night. I live with my 16 lb non-shedding Aussie doogle dog, Zoey. I may step out to run errands, go to an appointment, other, but am otherwise at home. I allow dogs to sleep on my bed or stay in a crate at night, per pet parents wishes. If you are traveling and require a pick up after 6 pm just let me know so we can work something out. I live in an apartment on the first floor, so I have easy access to let dogs out for potty breaks as I face an open green space. I live in a safe community with plenty of sidewalks and street lighting. I often walk my dog clients in the morning when it is cool outside, so they can get adequate exercise. On rainy days, I like to occupy your pet with tug-o-war, or a treat-kong, or playing with other toys. Please feel free to bring your dog's favorite toys.
“Stephanie was fantastic!! Soooo communicative, flexible and sent photos of the pups everyday. They came back in such a better state of mind than when we have boarded them at traditional kennels. Will definitely be using her services again! 🐾”

“Walker has some unexpected challenges while staying with Hilary and we felt that she navigated them well and also communicated them clearly. You don’t know what you don’t know sometimes! Our dog got plenty of exercise and playtime while there even though he had to stay crated more than usual. We were very pleased with Hilary!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Carolina Beach
Kate was absolutely wonderful with my Cavapoo Chimmy! Throughout the entire week that we were on vacation for a week, Kate sent us updates on how well he was doing and playing with her family. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable sitter. We'll definitely be booking with Kate again!

We recently left our 9 month old pup with Lauren for 9 days. It was the first time our pup has been away from us and our first time using Rover. She had a blast with Lauren and her dog Lucy and our experience working with Lauren through Rover was great. Lauren was very responsive and happy to answer all my questions. She provided us with daily updates and pictures. Drop off and pick up went smoothly & we didn’t have any issues at all. I would definitely book again with Lauren!

Hunter is a pro. Sandy is a loving cuddling dog, but she needs to trust you. It takes a minute. Hunter communicated with me the whole week and Sandy trusted her after a couple days. Lots of walks and pics and easy to get a hold of for messages and talks. Thank you Hunter.

Desi was so awesome watching our Solei! My family had accidentally booked a place in Carolina Beach that was not dog friendly- Desi was so flexible and let us pick up and drop off Solei throughout her pet sitting time so we could still spend time with her hiking the state park and hanging out on the beach. Desi very obviously cares so much for her clients’ pets and goes the extra mile to make them feel comfortable in her house- Solei had a great time at her home away from home! I’d recommend Desi to pet sit anytime!!!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
