Availability
I am a teacher and my husband has his own business. I am usually home by 3pm, and my husband is in and out of the house all day. I am home full time in the summer and during holidays. If my husband and I are not home, your dog would have free reign of the house and would have our sweet girl Lucy to keep them company! During the school year, drop offs and pickups will need to be before 7am, and after 3pm M-F.

Information Kate C. would like to know about your pet
Breed does not matter, but because I have a dog who is very friendly, I cannot host any aggressive dogs. Also, at this time I can only host dogs who are potty trained. I have a 6 year old son and a 3 year old daughter, so your dog would need to be good with small children.
A typical day
In the morning the dogs will go out for potty in the fenced yard, then they will be served breakfast. A short while after that I take them on a morning walk. Throughout the day they are free to play with my dog Lucy, take naps, and just hang out. The dogs can sleep wherever they like to sleep, including their bed, the couch or a human’s bed!

Pet care experience
I understand completely that leaving your dog with a sitter can be very nerve-racking because I have been there myself! This is a little embarrassing to admit, but I cried the first time I left my dog with a sitter because I was so worried about her. Dogs are family and I treat all of the dogs who stay with me like I would my own. I don’t want you to have to worry about your precious dog at all, and I want you to fully enjoy your trip/vacation. I have decades of experience with animals, and I am very reliable and trustworthy. I am a true animal lover, and a portion of the money I make goes to 2 local animal rescue groups, and 1 in South America. I live in a house with a fenced in yard and even a swimming pool if your dog wants to take a dip! I always take my dog on 2 walks a day, and your dog will get the same treatment. Dogs are allowed on the furniture, and I spend a lot of time playing with them and giving belly rubs! My home does not have stairs, which may be helpful for smaller and older dogs. If your dog needs something specific like an extra walk, special food preparation, or medicine, I can provide that. I only accept 1 dog in my home on a given day (holidays I accept 2), so your dog's stay will be in a tranquil, loving atmosphere. I want your dog to enjoy his/her time at my home! I have a 6 year old son, and a 3 year old daughter so your dog would need to be good with small children.

Reviews
As always, Marley had a great stay with Kate and her family! Easily one of the best dog sitters ever!

Great with my dogs They loved playing with her kids Will def use for boarding again
Kate and her family are the best! It was my second time dropping my dog off with her, and she takes such good care her! Marley is older and I often worry about her, but I feel at ease when she’s at Kate’s. Her kids are great with Marley, too!

Kate and her family were excellent with Luna Belle. Kate sent daily photos and provided updates when asked.
