We are fun and love animals
I offer full-time animal caretaking services, in mine or the client’s home. I’m available to offer continuous care most days, with the occasion need for errands and or an event. I prefer boarding, house sitting, drop ins and daily dog walking activities for families in the Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Wilmington area, since I live in Carolina Beach, but I have offered longer care services for clients in Hamstead, Porter’s Neck, Southport and surrounding areas for additional cost. Please reach out, I’m happy to discuss our schedules and see if we are a good fit and how we can best suit your needs. I offer a fun loving and playful spirit that most dogs enjoy but I’m are also very experienced with all types of dogs/cats/animals, and have experience with elderly dogs and cats, who may have medical conditions that may need a little extra specialized attention; I offer a gentle and loving companion for your sweet pup, cat or other animals. You may see from past reviews information about our mountain house. We currently provide boarding care for this area when we visit the mountain house, a little about our farm - I own a 21 acre farm in Ferguson, NC. Centrally located between Wilkesboro and Boone. We have a huge mountainous terrain fenced with access to the house and a large gated wrap around porch. Currently our full time home is in Carolina Beach and we have the best biggest back fenced in yard, with a pet friendly deck and cozy inside space, if your dog is boarded at our home, you can expect for the dog to have contact with other dogs. I’ve owned many dogs in my life, i.e. Huskies, Newfoundland’s, Labs, Goldens, Havanese, Blue healers, Doberman pinchers, and loving mutts! I’ve sled and biked and hiked with dogs, trained dogs, and I am very comfortable around all animals. I have two daughters, (my oldest is in college) and an animal loving partner, Spencer, who also has a rover site, so if I’m not available he may be, and we are each others emergency contact in case something were ever to happen., They all love to play fetch, frisbee and agility and trick training. We have a lot of fun with our furry friends and can offer an abundant amount of love, care, space and time for your fur babies! We like to call ourselves the WildOnes and we can’t wait to hear from you and hopefully spend special time with your furry family!

Desi was so awesome watching our Solei! My family had accidentally booked a place in Carolina Beach that was not dog friendly- Desi was so flexible and let us pick up and drop off Solei throughout her pet sitting time so we could still spend time with her hiking the state park and hanging out on the beach. Desi very obviously cares so much for her clients’ pets and goes the extra mile to make them feel comfortable in her house- Solei had a great time at her home away from home! I’d recommend Desi to pet sit anytime!!!
Desi helped us out in a last minute situation for our dog Oliver. She was very responsive and professional. We could tell Oliver was in great hands with Desi.

Amazing sitter and ghost had a blast!
Desi took great care of Bruno and he came back to us super happy and worn out (in a good way) since he got to play with other dogs the whole weekend. Desi was very good at communicating and sending photos/videos/updates of the dogs! Great sitter
Desi was great and easy to work with! She took great care of our 6 month old puppy, even with a last minute request!! Kept us updated with videos and pictures as well. Will def book with Desi again.

By following your everyday guidelines, and mimicking what your daily routine is, this allows a great amount of security to you and your animal. We always are sure to leash animals when they are not in the fenced area at your home. We want to encourage good behavior by following the training protocols that your animal has had, and also encouraging your pet to learn new things if they desire to.

I’m an active person who enjoys adventure. We like making pup treats and training dogs or just cuddling is fun too! I am a musician and will play piano, guitar or any other instruments if available , for your animal if they like it! We love to watch dog movies.
