“Amanda is an exceptional dog sitter. I received ongoing updates and pictures of my two dachshunds. They clearly had a wonderful experience demonstrated in all the pictures she sent of them and her updates. Amanda was sensitive and accommodating with my dog’s special diet and needing to go outside often. Amanda’s love of dogs is evident and I had such peace of mind leaving them in her care. I look forward to a return visit soon! Thanks again Amanda!”

About: I have multi-dog household experience. There has always been at least two dogs in my house growing up, they’re my favorite animals. I have a chocolate Labrador named Whiskey, and a Schnoodle named Max. My chihuahua sadly passed away. I love to meet and have other dogs in my house. I’m comfortable administering oral medication if needed. I’ll send daily photo updates. I’m a stay at home mom so there’s always time to care and play with our furry kids. I wake up between 6-8am and go to bed by 10pm. When I need to leave the house to run errands, I don’t take longer than 3 hours at a time, so I make sure my pets are taken outside for potty and water breaks. There is a fenced area in the back of our house, and a big open area. I can take them out on a leash if needed or crate them if they’re not house trained.
“Marcia is an incredible person. I will always ask her to keep my fur baby before even asking a family member. My pet is so happy and comfortable with Marcia, I get a little jealous! 😊🥰❤️”

“Cannot say enough how grateful my family is to have found Larissa! She gives such great care to our Cooper boy. Provides amazing communication, daily updates, has been flexible when I had to change something. Highly recommend!”

“If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! Tasha is amazing!! She was able to watch my babies last minute when another sitter fell through. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my babies with her after a stressful experience. She sent lots of pictures and was so caring and sweet to my babies! I can’t thank her enough!! Looking forward to the next time! I would HIGHLY recommend her!!!”
“Chasity was the BEST! Not only did she take great care of our best girl, she sent me frequent updates and pictures. This eliminated SO MUCH of my stress. We were already traveling with a baby(which can be a little nuts), and not having to stress about our pup took a huge chunk off my plate. I can’t thank Chasity enough for giving me some peace of mind. I absolutely hope to have our Bonnie girl back to see Chasity and her family for our next trip.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! She was absolutely amazing always kept me updated with pictures and videos, and my dogs looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. It gave me such peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Sarah is amazing!!! I contacted her a few days before Christmas for an immediate spot and she responded immediately. I took Coby over and she spent time with us to make sure Coby would be a good fit with her pets. She sent pictures and updates regularly. Coby was very well cared for and would have been happy to stay a few more days! Thank you Sarah!!!”

“Karleigh was fantastic!! This was my first time using Rover and was quite nervous. Karleigh took such great care of him and sent my photos and updates so I could see how much fun he was having!! She even gave him a report card to take home to show how good he did!! Karleigh truly took care of my little guy like he was her own!!!”

“Scottie had such a good time with Natalie. He was able to play a ton and being able to free roam definitely made him feel right at home. Natalie was also super responsive and flexible when I had to modify my booking with her.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
