About: I worked at Allen Veterinary Clinic in Texas earning my Vet Tech Certification and am currently enrolled in online college after leaving the Marine Corps. Dogs and cats have been my speciality but I love all animals. I am currently a stay at home parent enrolled in online school. Most weekdays am available in the early morning and late afternoons but am flexible for really any time line. I treat all animals as though they were my own and then some. Animals have funny personalities and each unique in their own way, I do my best to honor their likes and dislikes as well as yours!
About: I grew up around animals of all kinds, but find myself most comfortable with dogs and cats. I have two dogs and three cats currently, two of the five being seniors. I enjoy catering to my furry friends and would love to help yours! I’m a stay at home pet mom after sustaining a leg injury in March so I have a very flexible schedule and am looking to fill my free time helping people by assisting them in caring for their pets. My yard is fenced in for my senior husky and senior Yorkshire Terrier. My dogs are also crate trained so I am familiar with crating animals and following schedules. Both my dogs and cats are on a feeding schedule which I strictly follow. I am familiar with routine and prioritize safety and comfort.
About: I would be so happy to care for your fur baby in your home. I have 2 little fur babies at home. I have a family of Rover caregivers. I am a stay at home dog mom with plenty of time to care and love your fur babies as often as needed. The care of you fur babies is very important to me. I have plenty of time to give your fur babies exercise, love and cuddles in your home. Shirt or long term care arrangements can be made.
“I am so happy Angela was available to babysit my two cats. She was awesome with communication and I didn’t worry about my cats at all while I was away because I knew they were in safe hands. Will totally rebook! Thank you Angela.”

“Leli is the best! We were gone for a long trip and she was able to do drop in visits for my cat every day. Leli puts so much care and time into her daily check-ins - the photos and detailed notes were much appreciated and puts your mind at ease when you’re on a trip! I love that she adapted to whatever my cat wanted to do that day and spent time with him.”
“Alison did amazing! She met our dogs a few days before we even left the house, to make sure they were comfortable with her. She was always at our house during the times we requested, and our fur babies were well taken care of by her. She sent pictures and kept us up on everything the pups were doing. We would absolutely use Alison and Rover again!”

About: Hey! I love dogs more than anything and would love to take care of your dogs too. Please reach out if you need help on the weekends, I will almost always be free. I am available most weekends at anytime of the day. There is very little restrictions other than a few errands here and there. We can always work around your schedule as well. My pets have a daily routine that I very rarely go against. They are fed, exercised and trained every single day. Their health is more important than anything which is how I would handle your pets as well.
“Jessica was great with my 3 dogs. Was on-time with showing up and took plenty of photos. I will definitely be using Jessica in the future and would highly recommend.”

“Thank you for going above and beyond for Heath! You were there at the right time to get him out of the water and still feed him and give him his meds. Your a hero!”

“I had an amazing experience with ceci! She was able to accommodate my two golden retrievers very last minute, which I truly appreciated. My boys had such a great time with her and came back happy and well cared for. She communicates effectively and clearly, which gave me peace of mind throughout the whole process. It’s obvious she treats your pets like her own. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!”
“Cat was absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of our dogs and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. We had a few changes and special requests and she was beyond accommodating. We’ll definitely be booking with her again! “Lauri is the absolute best! She was so sweet, attentive, and caring with my two doggos, and they absolutely loved her. She was able to step in on short notice, and I couldn’t have been more grateful. I loved receiving all the updates and adorable photos while I was away. Lauri and her husband took such great care of my pups, and I felt completely at ease knowing they were in good hands. I highly recommend Lauri! 💜”

About: I have multi-dog household experience. There has always been at least two dogs in my house growing up, they’re my favorite animals. I have a chocolate Labrador named Whiskey, and a Schnoodle named Max. My chihuahua sadly passed away. I love to meet and have other dogs in my house. I’m comfortable administering oral medication if needed. I’ll send daily photo updates. I’m a stay at home mom so there’s always time to care and play with our furry kids. I wake up between 6-8am and go to bed by 10pm. When I need to leave the house to run errands, I don’t take longer than 3 hours at a time, so I make sure my pets are taken outside for potty and water breaks. There is a fenced area in the back of our house, and a big open area. I can take them out on a leash if needed or crate them if they’re not house trained.

About: I have owned dogs my entire life and I am very good at reading cues, handling behavioral issues, and open to all personalities! I have lots of experience with larger dogs primarily pitbulls, labs, terriers, shepherds, and cattle dogs. I have always loved animals and I understand how difficult it can be to leave your in someone else's care. I am open to dogs cuddling with me, sleeping with me, loving on me and vice versa. I look forward to meeting you and your furbabies!
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a child. I have had multiple dogs over the years and the fur babies always bring me so much joy! In the past 5 years I've had the pleasure of meeting some really cool cats too! All the four-legged babies warm my heart! The more personality the better! I work from home and really enjoy a field trip out of the house. I'm very flexible and am able to prioritize a schedule that fits the pets' schedule. I treat any pet as if it was my own and give it all the love! I also treat the home as if it was mine and leave the pet area tidy before leaving. I love to share photos and videos of the pet too!

Leli was the perfect fit for our four legged family members. She played with them outside until they were exhausted and made sure they were well taken care. They were definitely not fighting for attention because she made sure they had all of it. Our dogs took a quick liking to Leli and were over the moon everytime she stopped back in! Highly recommend!

Melissa was incredibly helpful and assisting. Due to an unavoidable last second change in our previous sitter’s plan, we were left without a pet sitter during the holidays. Melissa stepped up with the correct questions, answers, and a level of care that we knew our pets were in good hands for the holidays. Our pets loved her and she provided great communication on them while we were out of town.

Tanya was I joy to work with in this experience. This was our first time and we will definitely be using her again. Thank you so much for being an option for our buster to not have to be boarded. Plenty of pictures to have our hearts at ease that he was still being taken care of. Thank you so much Tanya you're awesome!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
