Larissa and Joe are great, and it showed when our pups warmed right up to them. The pictures sent throughout the visit helped us nervous pet parents calm down. I think our dogs are still running around looking for them!

Nichole was absolutely wonderful! Our dogs loved her and felt comfortable with her right away — even Bugsy, who usually takes a little time to warm up to new people. It made such a difference being able to keep them in their own home; it was so much less stressful for them. She sent daily photos and updates, and you could clearly see how happy and well cared for they were. I truly couldn’t be happier with the care they received. We would absolutely book with her again!

Rylie was very responsive and very attentive to our pups. She also sent great photos. She has great experience with her own dogs and with her work at a doggy day care and was very comfortable when a last minute issue came up and knew which issues she should contact us about.

Greyson was a great pet sitter. This was our first time using Rover and Greyson made the experience so easy and reassuring. She made sure to meet our pets before we left and to get any special instructions. While we were gone we got updates every morning and evening. This not only assured us that everything/everyone was doing well, but showed us how comfortable our pets became around Greyson. We also had a massive storm while we were away with a prolonged power outage. Greyson made sure to let us know that all the pets were doing fine and kept us informed on the status of our power and household. It was such a relief to be able to have that communication. We will definitely be rebooking with Greyson for future trips and I would highly recommend them.

Kelly took wonderful care of our two kittens and two chickens as usual! She was careful not to miss any details concerning their care! She, also, spent time on play and enrichment for them all :) The house and barn were nicely tidied up and everyone was happy and content. I know my babies are in good hands with Kelly!

Fatima is great with our pup and an excellent house sitter. We definitely had peace of mind while we were away and appreciated the regular communication and pics—especially as we haven’t traveled without our dog in a while, so we were a bit nervous about leaving her with someone new. Fatima is reliable, kind, and treated our big, goofy dog with care.

Christine was so great with Lenny! He was immediately comfortable with her, she was immediately comfortable with him - and he immediately listened to and followed her lead. Her considerable experience (with all kinds of animals and particularly dogs in this case) was very apparent. She was attentive, meticulous, and provided many updates throughout the long weekend we were away. Lenny seemed sad when he realized she wasn't coming back the night we returned.🙂 We would absolutely hope to book with her again.

The house was left very neat and she was good at communicating with us. Our cats hid throughout much of her stay, but that's their normal behavior with new people and not a reflection on Jaicyn. She actually seemed like a caring and nice person and we're hoping to have her again.

Ally did a wonderful job with my two senior dogs! She sent me daily communications letting me know how they were doing and if any concerns came up. She was also very flexible when the first night my flight got cancelled and I had to return home. She retuned the next morning and resumed care. I appreciated her looking after them and would definitely book with her again!

About: Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a lifelong animal lover and the proud dog mom of Bella Rose, my rescued miniature dachshund. Caring for Bella has taught me how important patience, consistency, and gentle attention are, especially with shy or nervous dogs. I treat every pet like I would want someone to treat Bella. I’m attentive to routines, feeding instructions, medications, comfort levels, and all the little details that help animals feel safe. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddling, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll adjust to what makes them happiest. I’m also an English student and writer, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet genuine, one-on-one attention. I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m an online English student and writer, so my schedule is flexible and I spend most of my time at home. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I already plan my days around caring for my own dog, Bella, so making sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved is a normal part of my everyday life. I follow each pet’s normal routine and all instructions provided by their owner, including feeding, walks, medications, and house rules. I keep pets supervised, double-check doors and leashes, and never leave them outside unattended. In my home, I introduce pets to Bella slowly and carefully, and I can give them separate spaces when needed. I keep my apartment calm, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of attention and rest time. I’ll also send regular photo and message updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Elton stayed at our home to care for our dog—who typically doesn’t enjoy change, new people, or other animals—and our cat. This was my first time ever booking a sitter, and I was admittedly nervous. Elton exceeded every expectation. The animals were clearly well loved, and the house looked wonderful when we returned. He was incredibly supportive throughout the week, sending photos and even keeping a daily journal so we always knew how things were going. I’ve already referred him to two close friends who plan to book him soon. And as a delightful bonus, he’s an amazing baker—he left a homemade blueberry lemon babka for us to come home to. I would recommend him without hesitation and will absolutely request him again.

We got lots of photos and check ins which put my family at ease! Will definitely be reaching out to Lindsey in the future when we want to go on vacation. 10/10! 💕

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing! This was our first time leaving our pup, Spud, and she made the entire experience so much easier by providing such loving and attentive care. We came home to happy dogs! She went above and beyond—not only taking great care of our pups but also handling little accidents from Spud with patience. She also sent daily updates and pictures and kept in constant communication, which we truly appreciated! Knowing how they were doing throughout our trip gave us so much peace of mind. We are so grateful for her kindness, updates, and the thoughtful note she left for us. We would love to have her back for future visits! If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and detail-oriented to watch your pets, we highly recommend Elizabeth. She’s the best! 🐶💛

Greyson is incredibly communicative, mindful, and responsive. As a fellow rover sitter, I have to say I'm very impressed with Greyson's attention to detail and process. Greyson also demonstrates care and love for my pet, and it's great having someone like them come to my home and watch my house and fur baby. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone to care for your pet while you're away!

FAQs for House Sitting - Willis

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Willis on Rover is $27.75 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 1,632 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Willis. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Willis walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Willis maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Willis choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Willis. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
