“Sonnie had a great time. I can tell cause he is tired out and just laying around enjoying a rest . Great rover if you’re using the KOA in Ypsilanti Michigan. Close.”

“Erin was very communicative and so sweet to Bear. Bear had a ton of fun with all the dogs there and came back super happy and joyful. Thank you for taking care of Bear!”

About: I have had dogs since I was little, helped my parents walk, feed, bathe, clean up after them. I had my own dog for 12 years. My children also love dogs and love to help with them. I work evenings but while I'm at work my husband is home with our children so someone is always home to take care of your dog. We have a little yard but can offer unlimited potty breaks, clean environment, an area for naps and bedtime. Lots of love from my children to keep them entertained!
“With my first puppy I quickly became worried i'd never be able to take a vacation. George eased my own separation anxiety and I was comfortable taking my first day trip away from my 8 month old puppy knowing she was safe and cared for.”

“Jennifer and her visiting sister, Joni, took amazing care of our Corgi and Cockapoo for the day. Jennifer's home and yard are perfect for furrbabies. The girls had the best time and were completely exhausted when we picked them up. We would definitely book with Jennifer again.”

“I couldn’t possibly be happier with my dog’s experience at Teresa’s home. From our meet and greet a few days ago to daycare today, Teresa has been nothing but kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming to my dog and my family. Her dogs were a great mix of playful and chill - my pup is worn out this evening, haha. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for when I thought about daycare for my new rescue dog. Many more playdates to come. 🙂 It’s so comforting knowing she was in excellent hands.”

“Kayden took our puppy for 9 hours with only an hours notice! We got frequent updates and several pictures of our puppy during her time at Daycare, which helped us know she was happy! Kayden knew just how to handle our anxious, 1st time visitor and make her feel at ease and keep her happy while we explored the town!”

“Allyssa did a wonderful job taking care of my dog! She asked thoughtful questions about my dog's needs during the meet and greet. Her communication and attention to detail about our unique situation made me feel like my dog was in great hands.”

“Panda came back so-o-o relaxed and happy from Laura and Manuel's. (He was happy to go there, and in no big hurry to come home!) Good amount of feedback of how he spent his day and how he behaved. Their dogs are such a sweet little dog pack for any pup to join! And Laura is so good at putting anxious dogs at ease.”

“Samantha was amazing! My husband and I took Maru to Michigan and needed someone to watch her while we attended an event. Maru spent two days with Samantha’s family, and we picked her up at nights. Our puppy is almost 6 months old and hadn’t been around many people or dogs, but Samantha and her family gave her outstanding care and great socialization. Maru came back to us happy and loved. I highly recommend Samantha to anyone who wants their dog to be safe, happy, and well-socialized while they’re away.”

“Maria was so great. Got many updates. Even a nice quick one after i left because Molly was a little timid to have me leave, she can be shy at first. I was sad to leave her on her first doggie daycare. But Marie made everything great, she shared multiple pictures that she warmed up and went on walkies and she seemed to have a great time. I hope to make this a weekly occasion! It was nice to be stress free at work.”

“Katie was very accommodating and took our three dogs in for the night in a very short notice. She took care of the dogs very well and kept us informed on how they were doing. Will use her again if we are back in town.”

“Christopher was great! We had a meet and greet before I left Sadie for the day, which helped helped reduce Sadie's tendency to be anxious in new places and around new people. Christopher sent me photos throughout the day to let me know that Sadie had settled in and was getting along great with Frank, the dog who lives with Christopher. I am very grateful that we found him and I'm hopeful that Sadie will have many fun visits at Christopher's house in the future.”

“I already have suture dates set with her. Murphy durfy was happy and able to run around all day at her place while I was at work. It was such a relief knowing I didn’t have to worry about him being cooped up in a crate all day. He gets to be a playful strange puppy on my work days with her. 10/10”

“I can tell that Heather really treated our dog like part of her family. And I can tell, too, that Panda had a very tiring, happy day at her house. He was excited to see me, but in NO hurry to go home. And he's been sleeping since we got back.”

About: I am a lifelong dog lover! I've grown up with dogs and had my own family dog for the past 25 years. I would be happy for your dog to join me and my active Dobe for some play, walks, hikes or even snuggle time. I have a large fenced dog run and I live in a wonderful rural area with lots of parks and long gravel roads for exploring and walking. I currently work from home with a lot of flexibility in my work schedule. I love a morning and afternoon walk or hik (weather permitting) with the dogs. I have a fenced dog run and a goofy Dobe to keep your dog company. My dog is fully up to date on vaccinations and our dog is truly part of our family. We are looking for doggie friends to come and play. Lots of love and attention to share!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
