About: I have taken care of friends and family’s fur babies for years and now looking to help others! I have house/dog sat many times including puppies and elder dogs. I have a ton of patience and love for animals which allows me to connect with each pet and give them the care they need. I currently work full time from home. This allows me to have a flexible schedule and be able to do check ins/walks during the week. I am usually free weekends as well. I follow any instructions given by the fur parents. You know your fur baby the best so I make sure I follow the routine as closely as possible.
“Michael helped us out on short notice and cared for our 2 elderly cats while we were away for a week. He was very professional, sending photos and communicating both AM and PM each day. It did a lot to assure me that my girls were ok while we were gone. My girls were not very social as this was their first time with a sitter, but they were healthy and happy upon our return.”

“Sabrina is kind, calm, and gentle. We have 2 pets that are shy and skittish around new people, but Sabrina was able to get them to come around and feel comfortable. We'll definitely ask Sabrina to take care of our fur babies again!”

“Alexa was easy to work with. She thought of things our pups needed without being asked. They were happy when we arrived home, and we felt she took good care of them. We will use Alexa the next time we have an opportunity”

“Ryan was great and made sure my kitties had what they needed. They weren't feeling sociable that week, so he didn't see them to interact. But he took care of the basics, which is just what we needed! 👍😁”

“Carly treats my dog as she would her own. She’s patient toward my shy pup and puts in extra effort to make her comfortable. I feel very assured Layla is in great hands when I’m working and would recommend her in a heartbeat.”

“Shirley did a fantastic job watching my two cats while I was out of town! She was always very quick to respond and on time to her visits, can’t recommend her enough. Thank you Shirley!!”

“Mykelle did a wonderful job watching our puppy (walking, feeding and administering medication) when we were away for a long weekend. When I first contacted her, she was extremely responsive and we had a meet and greet right away to confirm the dog sitting job. Our puppy Cora really liked her too. I really appreciated all the updates and pictures and excellent communication. Mykelle completely put me at ease as this was the first time that we had been away from our puppy. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!”

“Giana always comes through in a pinch and follows instructions to a tee-i have three dogs with different needs and she was able to attend to all in a timely manner while being sure to go above and beyond and ask questions on where things were to clean messes. Thanks Gianna”

“Richard was great with communication, pictures and updates during our trip. He was very professional, came and checked everything out ahead of time. Our cat obviously trusted him right away which is no easy feat. Thank you!!”

About: What truly sets me apart is my professional background. As a special education teacher with seven years of experience in the classroom, patience, structure, and the ability to adapt to individual needs are woven into everything I do. I bring that exact same mindset to pet care. I understand that every animal learns and communicates differently, and I excel at reading body language and adjusting my approach to make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and comfortable. Alongside having pets my entire life, I have spent the last 8 years providing dedicated pet care for family members and neighbors. Because of my teaching background, I am highly reliable when it comes to maintaining strict daily routines. This makes me particularly well-equipped to handle the unique needs of different life stages: Senior Care: I am incredibly patient and comfortable maintaining the slow, gentle pacing and strict medication or dietary schedules that senior pets often require to thrive in their golden years. Puppy Care & Training: I thrive on consistency and positive reinforcement. I am highly capable of maintaining the firm but gentle boundaries, frequent potty breaks, and structured play that young pets need while they are still learning their manners. Whether your pet needs quiet, gentle companionship or structured, engaging play, I have the experience, reliability, and heart to provide care that is perfectly tailored to them. I believe in complete transparency regarding my schedule so you know exactly when your pet is receiving my undivided attention: Summer Hours (Now – August): I am currently working a shorter schedule and am fully available for walks, drop-ins, and playtime every day after 1:30 PM. Fall Hours (Starting in September): I will be working my regular full-time schedule until 4:00 PM. However, my evenings will be completely open and dedicated to after-work walks, dinner routines, and evening companionship! I look forward to meeting your best friend and providing them with the highest level of care! I know firsthand that leaving your furry family members can be stressful. My goal is to provide a safe, engaging, and loving environment so you can have complete peace of mind while you are away. I treat every animal in my care with the exact same affection and attentiveness I give my own. My Experience I have been surrounded by pets my entire life, which has given me a deep, intuitive understanding of the daily care, patience, and affection animals require. For the past 8 years, I have been the trusted, go-to pet sitter for my neighbors and extended family. This hands-on experience has taught me how to adapt to different temperaments, respect established household rules, and quickly recognize when a pet might be feeling anxious. As a special education teacher, patience, compassion, and structure are at the core of who I am—and I bring those same qualities into how I care for your pets.

“Karren did a wonderful job caring for our senior dog Daisy while we were away. She sent us photos and detailed reports after every visit, which were so wonderful to receive. In addition to feeding and watering and letting Daisy out for pees and poops, Karren administered Daisy's medication, cleaned up a mess, and brought in our packages. We will most definitely use her again.”

“James was very attentive to all of our pups needs. He was also very flexible as some of our plans had changed on the fly. He was patient (Cash can be skittish) and made sure he was well taken care of. We would recommend James for any pet care needs!”

About: I love all animals and have had pets since I was very young. I have a lot of experience with cats, dogs and birds. I currently have 2 dogs and 2 birds and am also caring for a friend's chicks at the moment. I also do drop-ins for my neighbors dogs to give them potty breaks, play a little and give them some love and of course treats! I treat others homes and pets with the love and respect I do my own. I am available on weekdays, Monday through Friday, when my kids are in school between 9am and 3pm. I can do before 9am if given enough notice. During the summer I am available before 12pm most days and can be available between 12pm and 3pm some days (Varies based on my partners work schedule). Will provide utmost communication and care when entering your home, walking your dogs, and taking care of your fur or feather babies. Happy to do meet and greets to make sure you and your pet feel comfortable. Also happy to provide pictures and In and out times for each visit.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Wheat Sheaf
Nicole was nothing short of amazing! It was my first time leaving our two cats for more than 3 days, and Nicole eliminated all of my anxieties. She kept everything super clean, took the best pictures to share, and was extremely communicative the entire time. Would highly recommend Nicole and will most definitely be using her moving forward. 10/10!

Mellony was a perfect cat sitter for our cats while we were away for a week. She took great care of our two cats by feeding them, cleaning up after them, and making sure everything was in order. We originally book one 30-minute visit per day, but Mellony generously offered to come twice a day for 15 minutes each visit so that both cats would get extra attention-without changing any additional fee. We truly appreciate her kindness and dedication. It gave us peace of mind knowing our cats were in such caring and reliable hands. I highly recommend Mellony and would definitely give her 5stat rating for her outstanding service! Thank you Mellony!!

Debbie was so accommodating and super attentive to all of Leo’s needs and care. She asked detailed and informative questions that would help her and Leo during our time away. We have no complaints and would definitely recommend Debs services and we’re looking forward to using her services in the future :)

Sarah did a wonderful job caring for my two munchkins. Both of my cats are senior and the oldest, who is 17 and takes insulin LOVED HER. She was super attentive, thorough, on time, and I loved the after visit summaries that she left. I will most definitely recommend her service and hire again. Thank you Sarah for taking such wonderful care of them.

As of August 2026, there are 4,366 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Wheat Sheaf. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wheat Sheaf. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
