“Thank you Kathleen for taking such great care of Eddie! I know the booking was last minute and I appreciate your flexibility. I look forward to having you care for him again in the future.”

“This was Nala’s third stay with Anwar and she always comes home happy. She loves staying with Anwar. He’s a great sitter and we’ll definitely be using him for Nala again!”

“I cannot express enough in words for my gratitude and appreciation for Traci and Jeff. I had used them previously when I went back down south to initiate my move. They were incredible. While moving, adjusting to my new job and getting ready for a vaca I had accidentally forgot to pack Leia’s soup which she loves to have with her wet food and Traci made a stew for her and fed her daily with homemade food prepared by them. Talk about concierge service and adaptability. They are really at this point Aunt Traci and Uncle Jeff. I love them and would trust Leia with them any day.”

“Absolutely amazing! Sent updates about Skye and accommodated so much for her! Got her new toys and made sure she was so comfortable :) He was an incredible sitter and loves dogs truly!”

“Craig took exceptional care of our dog for an overnight stay. He was incredibly communicative and flexible, and instilled confidence that he was on top of everything and our pup was in good hands. There were also plenty of walks and playtime to keep him busy. Highly recommend using Craig if you’re down the shore.”

“I think that Allie did an amazing job with my dog, Copper. She kept me up to date on his condition and sent me plenty of pictures while I was on vacation. I would definitely use her again when I go on vacation.”

About: I’ve taken care of neighbors dogs for a few years now and still occasionally take care of family dogs! I love spending time with pets! I work part time only, so I have plenty of time to care for your furry friend! I can be very flexible and attentive to your animal’s needs! I have a gated backyard and an open front yard. I take animals on long walks and to dog parks as well! I have treats for them and can use whatever you provide whether it be food, bedding, or toys!
“Stephanie is the best! My dog is a very anxious little Chihuahua, She fully understands and takes excellent care of our little furry baby when we are long away. She provides updates and pictures every day, giving us peace of mind knowing our little guy is enjoying her time. I was worry free during the long trip because of Stephanie. I highly recommend Stephanie We are very thankful that we found her!”

“We've entrusted our beloved Labrador, Nora, to Catherine and her family's care on several occasions now, and each experience has been absolutely wonderful. Nora always returns happy and well-cared for, a testament to the loving and attentive environment Catherine provides. The peace of mind knowing she's in such capable hands is invaluable, especially when our travel plans don't allow us to bring her along. We wholeheartedly recommend her services without reservation.”

“Liubov did a great job with our dog! She took the time to get to know our dog and all of her needs. Liubov provided many pictures and videos updating us of our dog’s status. When we picked up our dog she was happy and well cared for. Thank you so much Liubov!!”

“Kelsie was beyond great! Very communicative and timely. She sent pictures and plenty of updates so that I felt comfortable for my dog’s boarding experience. A day after and he’s still tired from his weekend sleepover, so I know he had a great time!”

“We had never left Jake with a sitter so we were a little bit nervous. But at the moment we met Lauren and saw all her effort to make Jake feel welcome, we felt confident that he was in good hands. She kept me posted and sent pictures of him and he was very happy to be with Lauren. 100% recommended!!! I’m happy we found Lauren!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my special-needs pup, Dottie, for 8 years. She’s on a strict diet and takes meds too, so I’m good with following precise instructions. I have a loving and serene home where Dottie and I can welcome your pup. I work from home on Fridays, so I am available for boarding for long weekends. We could coordinate a Thursday evening drop-off if need be. On the weekends, I go to a pilates class and run errands, but am otherwise around as company for the dogs. My yard is only partially fenced, so I will be taking the dogs on leashed walks. Dottie sleeps in bed with me, so it’s okay if your pup needs to as well. If your dog is crate-trained, that is okay too.
“Lesley was amazing with our dog! She sent us plenty of pictures and videos of him! I can tell she loves animals and she was so sweet and loving towards ours. Her own dog is such a sweet boy too! Highly recommend going with Lesley if you want an attentive and loving sitter!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wheat Sheaf
We left our baby Bella with Christine and I must say, she seemed like she did not want to come back 😂 She was in good spirits and clearly felt comfortable with her and her husband, Bella doesn’t like anyone carrying her but felt very comfortable with Christine. I would certainly recommend her for anyone looking to have their precious pup to have a loving and comfortable place to stay! Thank you for taking such good care of our precious little girl ❤️

Anwar was amazing with Marley! I felt completely comfortable and safe leaving Marley in his care. He was very communicative throughout the stay and kept me updated. Marley clearly had a great time and came home completely pooped from all the adventures I’m sure he had 😂 I would definitely recommend Anwar to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter, and I would absolutely let him watch Marley again. Thank you, Anwar! ❤️

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Wheat Sheaf home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Wheat Sheaf.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Wheat Sheaf sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
