“Sarah took wonderful care of our dog Duncan! I cant say enough about how well Sarah and her family cared for our dog when we were away! She was terrific with communication before and during our booking for pet sitting. She sent us great pictures of Duncan while we were on vacation, making sure we knew he was being well cared for. I would definitely book with Sarah again without hesitation. Everything went smoothly with the entire booking process!”

“Swapna was great. I boarded my dog with her and had no concerns. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay and was also very accommodating. I will be returning to her when I need to board my dog again in the future.”

“Our husky, Neba was so happy with his stay. We got pictures and updates that he was having a great time enjoying playing in the yard. We will definitely be staying with Chastidy again”

“We had a great experience leaving our dogs with Wanda. When we left them I heard them crying and was a bit concerned about them settling in. When we got home Wanda had texted and let us know they were setting in and sent us photos showing them relaxing. During the week we received multiple photos and updates on how it was going, which put us at ease. When we picked up the dogs they were in excellent health and very happy. We would highly recommend Wanda dog sitting services. Thank you Wanda, for taking such good care of our dogs.”

“Meena & her husband took very good care of our 8 month old pup. She was updating us with messages and pictures throughout the day and went out of her way to care for him. We were at peace of mind seeing the pictures & updates throughout his stay. Highly recommend her!”

“Jennifer was very caring and diligent in taking care of Ava and sent daily updates during Ava’s boarding stay. She was proactive in communicating issues with care and was very responsive. We would come back to Jennifer given an opportunity for future boarding / day care.”

“Kerri & Harry was so great with my Shih-Poo. We were looking for someone that would make him feel like home and they knocked it out the park - I could tell he missed them on our drive home. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a loving and safe place for your fur baby. We will definitely be using them again.”

“Our baby Oreo ( golden retriever ) stayed overnight with Katie. At first we were a bit nervous but after the meet and greet with Katie and her family we were relieved. We were happy after picking up Oreo today from her house because our baby was happy . He seemed to have enjoyed his stay and must have been tired and played a lot with their dog Mason as he slept the moment we reached home . Katie provided us with regular updates and pictures . Looking forward for our next boarding with them ?”

“Camila’s family was absolutely amazing with our dog Cookie! They sent constant updates, lovely photos of him playing in the yard with their kids and other dogs, and it’s so clear that Cookie was having a blast staying with them! Cookie is a senior pup that needs quite a bit of attention and also had a cough that they tended to so well, which is such a relief to know that our dog was in great hands! They will definitely be our go-to boarders for Cookie❤️”

“Davina and her family were so good to Arnie I was afraid he may not come home! Very proactive and responsive communication and pictures so you know your fur baby is happy! She even made homemade doggy treats and personalized each dog’s initial! Beyond exemplary!”

“Samantha was great. Very attentive to our dog and his needs and provided regular updates. Her dog cocoa was also very sweet. Would recommend to anyone in the area”

“If I could give more stars I would!!! Kathleen was fantastic! My dog had the best vacation at Kathleen’s house!! She was great with communication and always sent pictures to show how happy he was! Beaus looking forward to his next vacation at Kathleen’s!!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my special-needs pup, Dottie, for 8 years. She’s on a strict diet and takes meds too, so I’m good with following precise instructions. I have a loving and serene home where Dottie and I can welcome your pup. I work from home on Fridays, so I am available for boarding for long weekends. We could coordinate a Thursday evening drop-off if need be. On the weekends, I go to a pilates class and run errands, but am otherwise around as company for the dogs. My yard is only partially fenced, so I will be taking the dogs on leashed walks. Dottie sleeps in bed with me, so it’s okay if your pup needs to as well. If your dog is crate-trained, that is okay too.
“I highly recommend Christine for her services. My older dog was well taken care of in her home and got lots of attention and care. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her and ai will continue to use her services.”

“This is the third time our rescue Rosie has stayed with Mary and John. It is the first time we left her since COVID started though. We were a little nervous on how she would react to being without us since she’s been around us all the time since. It was another great experience, so glad we can go away and feel confident that she will be well looked after. Thank you John and Mary.❤️”

“Barbara and David were amazing!! Percy had the best time staying with them. They took such good care of him and kept me updated with pictures and video! I can’t wait to book with them again!! This was my first time using Rover and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you Barbara and David!!! ❤️🦮🐾🦴”

“Melissa and Dan were great with our 8 month old golden retriever, Ginger. We were completely comfortable after our meeting. Ginger seemed happy and well taken care of. We received daily updates with photos and videos. I plan to leave our dog in their capable hands again and I would recommend them to anyone who wants quality care for their pet.”

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
