“Alarie and her family were absolutely wonderful with our dog. From the moment we met them, we felt completely at ease leaving him in their care. They created such a warm, loving environment for him, and it was clear throughout his stay that he was well cared for. Alarie was highly responsive and shared frequent updates and beautiful photos throughout his stay, which we really appreciated. We’re so grateful to Alarie and her family for treating our pup like one of their own. We would absolutely recommend them and would be very happy to have our pup stay with them again!”

“We left Reggie in Ankita’s care for two weeks while we were abroad. Since then, she’s also been helping us with doggy daycare. She kept us updated throughout the trip, sending regular snaps and videos that really helped ease our nerves. Ankita is an excellent communicator—she’s very careful with the puppies and respectful toward their parents. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for doggy daycare or boarding. Thank you so much, Ankita!”

“Jocelyn took fantastic care of our energetic pup while we were on vacation. She was communicative and sent lots of videos and pictures. Our dog loved the amount of attention and exercise she got.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds, ensuring they feel loved, happy, and safe while under my care. My focus is on providing refreshing outdoor walks that give your dog the exercise and fresh air they need to stay healthy and happy. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality and pace, ensuring every walk is enjoyable and stress-free. I have a flexible schedule and am home full-time, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, doggy day care, and regular walks during both weekdays and weekends. Dogs can enjoy regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest throughout the day, while cats can enjoy a calm routine with plenty of attention and comfortable downtime. I do my best to follow each pet’s normal schedule so their stay feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I carefully follow each pet’s feeding schedule, medication instructions, exercise routine, and household rules. Dogs are kept secure with appropriate leashes and harnesses during walks and outdoor activities, while cats are cared for in a calm and secure indoor environment. I closely monitor each pet’s behavior, eating habits, bathroom routine, energy level, and overall comfort throughout their stay. I also believe communication is an important part of great pet care, so I provide regular photos and updates to help you feel connected and confident while your pet is with me.
“Hope did a great job boarding our dog, Peggy, while we were away! Peggy is often anxious with sitters, but Hope kept her calm and comfortable throughout the stay and sent lots of photos. Definitely recommend and will use again! Thanks so much Hope!”
“I was very with Chialing care for my baby Lola. She kept us updated. Send this pictures videos. Lola actually walked with no leash and they are run away so I’m happy with that. Her care her time and to keep up letting us know how everything was going was excellent. I would definitely definitely use her again to babysit my baby dog Lola. Thank you so much for your care and your love and your attention.”

“Kevin and his wife are amazing! They were able to watch Sadie for a long weekend even though it was last minute. Sadie is super shy and they were so patient with her while she took her time to warm up. Having Bubbles there helped her so much and they became absolute besties! Overall I felt really good knowing that Sadie was safe and comfortable with them :)”

“Carol was absolutely awesome! She checked in with us daily, sent photos, and reassured us that our pups were in good hands. She was flexible which we needed as we were hiring her ahead of having our baby who ended up coming early and she was gracious enough to move up our days. When she had questions she would reach out which we appreciated as our pups have skin issues and very sensitive stomachs. Carol and her family love pets and it is so evident by how happy our pups were at pick up and we will 100% be leaving our pups with her again. When we were driving off our pups were crying because they didn't want to leave. Thank you for taking such good care of them!”

“Evelyn and her family took such great care of Blanca. They were very flexible and understanding when our travel plans were altered and she needed to stay a few extra days. Blanca felt right at home!”

“We had such a great experience with Juan. This was our first time leaving Teddy with them and Juan made us feel very comfortable. He took great care of Teddy and sent us pictures and updates which we really appreciated while we were away. It was so reassuring to see that Teddy was doing well and being well cared for. We’re very thankful to Juan and would absolutely feel comfortable leaving Teddy with them again.”

“Lee K was great with my dog Bodi. Knowing that she was familiar with looking after senior dogs and giving medication made me feel comfortable using her pet sitting services. She took great care of Bodi, helping him as needed & provided me with many photos & videos so that I could see how he was doing while he was staying at her home. Upon picking him up I could tell he had a relaxing stay and was comfortable within her home and around her other dogs. We are looking forward to using Lee K again in the future!”

We've used Ann's in-home dog sitting several times now for our Mini Goldendoodle, Penny, and every experience has been great. Ann is incredibly responsive — she always answers questions quickly and puts us at ease when we're away. She sends regular updates and photos while Penny's in her care, so we never have to wonder how things are going. Most importantly, she's completely reliable; we know we can count on her every time we book. Highly recommend Ann to anyone looking for a trustworthy, communicative dog sitter!

We had such a great experience with Michaelangelo! We had a last-minute need for someone to watch our almost 2-year-old Boxer, Walter, who is VERY energetic and has some separation anxiety. Michaelangelo said yes without hesitation, which we really appreciated. He has two Pomeranians of his own and a great fenced-in yard where Walter could run around and get all of his energy out. Michaelangelo sent us pictures and updates every day, which really helped us feel comfortable knowing Walter was doing well. He was also very quick to respond anytime I had a question. Walter had a great time and came home happy! We’re so happy we found Michaelangelo and would definitely recommend him to our family and friends. We will absolutely use him again! ❤️

Brittany and her family were absolutely wonderful with Cooper. From the updates she shared to the care and attention they gave him, we could tell he was genuinely loved and treated like part of their family. Honestly, I think Cooper was a little sad to leave them! It gave us such peace of mind knowing he was being cared for and loved just as he would be at home with us. Brittany truly became an extension of our family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely trust her with Cooper again. Thank you, Brittany and family!

Oakley has been going to Cathy’s house for many years and definitely loves his time away from home there. He is always made comfortable by Cathy and her family and has a good time while he is at her house. Cathy went above and beyond this visit as Oakley was taking a slew of medications for a tummy issue and Cathy made sure he didn’t miss any of them! As always, a great experience and much love at Cathy’s house.

I booked Hope to board Walter at her home overnight when I had a wedding to attend! We did a meet and greet before the overnight visit and Hope showed me where Walter would sleep and spend the day! It was reassuring to know she had a gate to keep Walter and his puppy antics contained. During the actual stay she sent many cute pictures of Walter enjoying his stay. She also cleaned his eyes for me and gave me some grooming tips for him! He came home looking even better than when I dropped him off!! I would definitely book with her again! :)

Camila is an amazing dog sitter. She has a friendly personality and her husband is just as awesome. They cared and took care of my American bully of 5 years which he warmed up to them wonderfully. Camila always sent picture updates of my dog, which was great to have a good price of mind. I would definitely recommend her services again!

Meredith did a great job taking care of my senior dog. She has senior dogs herself so she was very understanding. She also gave me good feedback. She communicates very well and responds quickly. She has a nice fenced in yard. My dog got along well with Meredith and her dogs. I think she had such a good time that she didn't want to come home! Thanks Meredith!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
