“Thank you so much for keeping Michaela. The daily photos let me know she was in good hands. Thank you for working with me as I am new to this app. Thank you for providing great service.”

“Moonyoung and Sunhyung were great with Ziggy! It usually takes her a couple days to get used to a new environment, and they were patient, sent updates and pictures and provided a caring home. It gave me great peace of mind while away that Ziggy was being well taken care of :)”

“Vinny was the absolute best sitter I could have gotten for my dog Ellie. She was so happy there, and even missed him when we got home. Vinny took great care of her. We will absolutely be using Vinny exclusively for our dog boarding needs in the future, without a doubt.”

“Demetra was amazing!! We loved their family and our pug was so happy! He had such a great time with them and they took such good care of him! I am looking forward to bringing him over again!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Bentley! From the start, she made me feel completely at ease. Bentley was comfortable, happy, and clearly well cared for the entire time. Mary kept in contact with me daily, which I really appreciated, and gave updates that reassured me he was in great hands. She also followed all of my instructions exactly. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. I would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and attentive!”

About: What sets us apart is that we are dog parents ourselves. We understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. We have experience raising and caring for different breeds, including a Samoyed, Weimaraner, Shetland Sheepdog, and Golden Retriever. Our dogs are friendly and social, and we carefully supervise all interactions to ensure a safe and positive environment. We focus on each dog’s comfort, routine, and safety. We follow feeding schedules, walking routines, and any special instructions from owners. Every dog in our care is treated like part of our family. On days I accept bookings, I’m home all day to give dogs my full attention, provide close supervision, and make sure they get plenty of walks and care. I provide a calm, safe, and dog-friendly environment in my home. All dogs are closely supervised, especially during playtime and interactions with other dogs. I carefully follow each dog’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and rest time. Because I am a dog owner myself, I understand how important safety and trust are. My goal is to make every dog feel comfortable, secure, and cared for like a member of our family.
“I had the pleasure of booking Kevin for a life-saving last minute booking and not only did he make it work with zero complaints but he was absolutely phenomenal with my little bud. Amazing with his communication as well as updates and pictures/videos ! I was so glad to hear that he was able to manage with such little time how to maneuver with my sometimes odd and overly energetic pup. Highly recommend to others and will be booking again 🥰”

“Priyanka and her husband showed great care for Sage during his 4 day 3 night stay. They are stellar animal lovers and will be my go to whenever Sage has boarding needs.”

“I have encountered a lot of dog lovers but not like Will! My dog fit in perfectly, and honestly I loved that! I will definitely use Will services again, and even recommend a few of my friends that have dogs. If you looking for a Nanny that is a 10/10 , Will is your person .”

“Yesenia took excellent care of my five-year-old French Bulldog, Lewis. I’d give 6 stars if I could. I’m thoroughly satisfied with her service and highly recommend her for any pet care needs you may have.”

“We were SO LUCKY to find Lauren to dog-sit our precious Rosie (a border collie/ lab mix) while we went to Maui! Lauren helped to manage OUR stress at having to leave Rosie by sending us pictures and little notes of Rosie regularly. When we picked Rosie up, it was obvious how well cared for Rosie was, she was clean, happy, and in great shape. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Lauren, for taking Rosie into your home and family, and taking such good care of her!”

“Scratchy had a fun time with Elizabeth and her family. I could tell he was very happy. Elizabeth sent many updates and photos. Thank you for taking such good care of him!”

“Our dog loves going to stay with Cynthia! He even recognized her house and ran to the door when he arrived for drop off, which is a glowing endorsement from him. He is very attached to his dad! He was happy and very well cared for!”

“Stephanie was absolutely the best, we loved her calm energy. Rolex felt right at home with her and Toby. She communicated often with pics and updates and we loved that. 10/10 experience and highly recommend. We’ll be back!”

"She was amazing. It was Charlie's first time staying with someone else for more than a week, but the daily photos and videos she sent kept me totally reassured. I really appreciate how warmly she looked after him. Because of her, I could focus on my work on the other side of the world with peace of mind. I'm so glad Charlie had a blast with her dog and another puppy there. I felt so lucky to leave him with her."

Camila is an amazing dog sitter. She has a friendly personality and her husband is just as awesome. They cared and took care of my American bully of 5 years which he warmed up to them wonderfully. Camila always sent picture updates of my dog, which was great to have a good price of mind. I would definitely recommend her services again!

My dog spent 21 days in Yuchen’s house, and he was very happy with Yuchen’s family and her dog. Yuchen sent me pictures and videos everyday: my dog running in her large backyard, sleeping on the comfortable couch…. Yuchen is kind and responsible, highly recommended!

Sunny and her family did a wonderful job taking care of our three family dogs, Eli, Barklee & Zoey. She sent pictures everyday, and we felt very assured that they were being well taken care of. They were all very happy when we came to get them. Sunny is the personification of her name!!🌞

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
