“Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. About: I have taken care of my family dog in many different capacities since I was 6 years old, and I enjoy walking, playing with, or just being active around all different kinds of dogs! I currently work at a middle school, so my summers, weekends, and afternoons are generally free! I also live in a pet-friendly home and a great spot for walks near the downtown New Bedford area. I make sure pets I’m taking care of can get a proper amount of attention and activity, so it feels like less of a scary change and more of a fun playdate.

About: Whether it’s a drop in for some love, attention, fresh air, or to do business I’ll be your dogs second best friend (after you and your family, of course). Or it’s a nice walk on a sunny day to stretch our legs and sniff the air, your furry friend is in good hands. With the right amount of treats, love, discipline, and boundaries your dog and I are bound to have a grand time together on our outing(s). I have a 65lb pit mix myself. Her name is Dottie and she is 8 years old. Together we have driven across the country, gone on long hikes, and learned how to social with other dogs. While she’ll stay at home during my visit with your dog, her scent will stick with me for an intriguing sniff-interrogation by your pup.

My goal is to help not only you but your kitty or pup to trust me to treat your home with the utmost respect, following any rules and boundaries you may have, while making sure to care for your pet the way a family member would. This includes gaining their trust to play at their pace, making sure their bowls are clean for the fresh food and water, cleaning up any messes they may have made including getting into the trash or using the bathroom in or out of the litter box, or giving your pup a bath at your request.

From longs walks to outdoor play or if your dog likes going on adventures the car I am your girl. As well as having two days off on Sunday and Tuesday, as well as working brunch on Saturdays I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! Open to overnights, pop in's or just walks! I am a DI collegiate athlete so I love getting out and going on runs and walks and playing with pets! About: In my 30 years, I have always had at least one pet in my care. Growing up, I took care of dogs, goats, chickens, rabbits, degus and more. I have personal experience with "exotic" animals such as hamsters, rats, chinchillas, etc. I have a combined 7 years of experience with animal care in a professional setting, including work at a pet store, as an Animal Care technician for laboratory animals and as a receptionist and kennel/boarding assistant in a veterinary hospital. About: I got my first dog in 1982. My first cat in 2021. I learned to walk, play with, feed and love my dog, Cara. Then in 1997 another came into my life and again I cared for her basic needs but next I learned to watch and listen to this one... and trained her in tricks and solid obedience. Next I started house sitting for sick old dog's who needed 24/7 attention. This was for Maureen Martin’s dog Higgins and her cat, Rio, in San Diego for 1999 - 2000. Later I found myself caring for so many people's dogs and cats, the last being in Westchester New York 2 weeks ago for Eliza, a black lab belonging to Mr and Mrs Brian S. Also at home I adopted Macy who has cancer as a kitten. She was treated and she is 3 years in remission now bc I played with her and brushed her and gently got her eating again through the chemo program. My reputation grew as a good cat babysitter and dog walker and caregiver. I am gentle, patient, firm and have strong communication with dogs and I speak the language of cats. I also am in very good athletic condition so I can offer your dog and cat a strong enough dose of energy and fun that your dog's anxiety about you not being there can subside. Your cats and dogs miss you when you leave them for work and important events. But I will fill in the gaps so they feel a warm friend is looking after them until you return home. I care for my own cat. Doing the litter daily and feeding her in the morning and evening with some in the middle of the day. She has cozy places to sleep and toys to play with to stay active. I interact with her and brush her to keep her in an overall healthy and good mental state. Playtime is a real winner with most pets. Those who are disabled or needing a different kind of care will get warmth and gentility from Me. If they need meds, I will do it in a caring way. If they need to be vigorous and enjoy companionship time in your absence, I am there to be their protector, buddy and server.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life: dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, you name it! My smallest dog ever was a chihuahua and my largest is a cane corso. My home was also a foster home and we had many litters of puppies and kittens come through on their way to their forever families! I work full time so I am primarily available on weekends, but I do work from home once a week if you need a last minute walk or check in on a pet! I am happy to take your pet outside, feed them, play with them, go for a walk or to get some exercise! I am unable to take them in my home but happy to work with you to fit you and your pet’s needs.
