About: Although I'm new to Rover, I'm not new to caring for pets. I've provided pet sitting and drop-in care for friends and friends of friends, giving me experience with dogs and cats of different personalities, routines, and energy levels. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. Owning my own dog has taught me the value of patience, enrichment, positive interactions, and paying attention to each dog's individual personality and needs. I know every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and what helps them feel comfortable and happy. I'm an active person who genuinely enjoys getting outside for walks and adventures, and I love making sure dogs have the opportunity to explore, sniff, and enjoy their time outside at their own pace. I currently have a flexible summer schedule, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-in visits, and check-ins on a variety of days and times. I enjoy being able to provide pets with attention, exercise, and companionship when their families need an extra hand. Once the school year begins, my availability will become more structured as I return to teaching, but I will continue to update my schedule and communicate clearly to make sure I can provide reliable care for the pets I commit to. Before each visit or walk, I will take the time to learn your pet's routine, personality, and any specific needs or preferences. About: I’ve pet sat with my moms business since I was about 10, and over 18 years have taken care of many animals. I love to play with the animals, my goal is that when I’m rehired the come to the door to greet me to play with them. I work part time and can do mornings and overnights before and after work. I also get breaks on shifts that I can stop in and visit. I cannot do my own home, but can take care of the animals at their home where they’re more comfortable. Besides just feeding them, walking them or taking them out, it’s important to play with them and keep them entertained. Which always entertains me.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I’ve grown up with both and have been trusted by friends and family to look after their own pets. I am a DI collegiate athlete so I love getting out and going on runs and walks and playing with pets! I am currently unemployed, but still in summer training, so I have plenty of time in my day to play, walk, and take care of your pets! I am available in the mornings until 3pm. And I am available all day on weekends after 11am I am very respectful to client’s homes and will make sure the keep the place orderly while looking over your beloved pet! I am very aware and attentive to my surroundings on walks and to pets behaviors, so you can trust that your dog is in safe hands with me! I am very familiar with cats, both cuddly and not independent, and I am very patient and will always treat your pets with care and respect!

About: Owned dogs entire life, have trained rescue dogs, and have experience in providing senior care for dogs. My dog is diabetic so I also have experience with insulin injections and oral medication. I have a fenced in backyard and many toys for dogs to play with! I am able to board and care for dogs throughout the weeks due to flexibility in my schedule. I am also willing to let your dog out when available, and help in any way I can! I will make sure the dogs are loved and shown affection, played with, walked, and taken care of as needed. I will always make sure the dogs are happy, have water at all times, toys to play with, etc.

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats for 8 years! I have sat for cats, dogs, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and more! I am always up for the task when it comes to animals! From longs walks to outdoor play I am your girl! If your dog likes going on adventures and likes the car I am your girl. As well as having three days off during the week and working brunch on Saturdays I have a lot of free time to spend with your pets! Open to overnights, pop in's or just walks! Making sure pets get the most attention possible is a priority to me. Snuggles and toys is the most important part. If your pet is comfortable. I am only available to stay in clients homes.

“Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. About: I currently work at the Newport Navy Base at All Paws On Deck doggie day care. I have been there for about a year and am currently one of the lead staff members there taking care of the dogs. I have learned so much on dog behavior and safety. Since working there it has ignited an interest to become a dog trainer. The joy that dogs bring to my life has been so rewarding and I love every minute of my job and being with all my furry friends. I have grown up with always having a dog in my life and had parents that instilled responsibility that came along with it. I have watched and been responsible for friends and neighbors dogs when a helping hand is needed. My up bringing with always having a dog was that they are not just an animal but another member of the family and have to be treated as such. I have been very lucky to have had grown up with amazing dogs. I have rescued 2 beautiful greyhounds that were former racers in Florida. This particular breed is my passion due to the challenges it gives to teach them how to transition from the track to home life. This breed typically has never been inside a home and needs to be taught everything! Stairs, Windows, glass sliding doors, furniture, a yard, trust, and having her own toys and bed. This has taught me so much on how to relate to the dog and learn how they see life. My life currently when im not working is spending time with my family and enjoying the "island life" in Portsmouth. It is my husband and I along with our two boys and Anita (my greyhound). I work part time at the doggie day care. My availability time is flexible. I work half days so im available in the morning or afternoon depending on the day. I will respect the clients home and their pets boundaries and needs. I see it as entering their safe space and would not want them to feel that I am there to change that or threaten that.
