About: I’ve always taken a special interest in animal care. I have over 20 years experience taking care of various types of pets ranging from rats to large dogs. I have worked as the lead canine educator for Petsmart as well as a sitter for friends and family. I’m new to Rover but not to pet care. I love being able to give pet parents the peace of mind knowing that their pet is safe and getting the care they need with me. I am only self employed otherwise and I enjoy working schedules that allow me flexibility to have a good work/life balance. I am able to schedule pet care around my other responsibilities. I have indoor cats. I advocate for all cats to be indoor. I do not plan on watching pets in my own home. I would prefer clients have a fence but I’m comfortable with pets on a leash.

About: I have taken care of my family dog in many different capacities since I was 6 years old, and I enjoy walking, playing with, or just being active around all different kinds of dogs! I currently work at a middle school, so my summers, weekends, and afternoons are generally free! I also live in a pet-friendly home and a great spot for walks near the downtown New Bedford area. I make sure pets I’m taking care of can get a proper amount of attention and activity, so it feels like less of a scary change and more of a fun playdate.

About: Family, friends, neighbors, pretty much everyone I grew up around have all had pets growing up Ive been surrounded by them and loved them my whole life. Im currently working a part time postion while still in online college courses so I will have plently of time on my hands to cater to your furry friends needs. I have a very big and open yard that is fenced in on all sides as well as my own dog that lives with me.

“Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. About: I've been looking after dogs and cats since I was 12! They've ranged from my grandma's shitzu to dog sitting mastiffs! I've even watched reptiles like ball pythons and geckos. I've walked, bathed, fed, watered, and loved them the whole time. I, myself, have 2 bunnies, fish, and a ball python. All together the most dogs I've ever watched at the same time was 28! It was 5 adults dogs, one puppy the equivalent to a toddler, and 22 puppies! I am willing to go to the cape and islands for house sitting! At the moment I'm hoping that pet care will become a full-time job. At the moment I am able to do any day and any time. I, sadly, do not have a cute puppy or kitty to play with your fur baby, however it just means they get more love from me! I can lift a 75 pound dog if needed and have the resources to contain one if necessary.

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 15! Dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, and fish from all breads and ages, big or small. I take care in bathing, grooming, feeding, and walking! I am currently a student full-time so I am only available during holiday breaks and in the summer. I take care of my own pets and sisters so I am only available thursday, friday, and on weekends. I can keep to the schedule you give me for your companion! I can give baths, play, feeding, and go on walks. I take lots of pictures and will update you on how the walk/sitting is going frequently. I know every companion has their own personality and will take the time to get to know them to make their experience with sitters a comfortable one!

About: I love animals so much, and nothing compares to the personality and happiness that comes from dogs! I love going for walks outside, and letting them go on their own scent journey— They deserve happiness and excitement!!! I’d love to play and give any medicines. I can assist in training or learning. With FULL weekend availability- I currently am working on moving towards a part-time job (I am employed Full Time currently) from 5pm onwards during weekdays are also available. Please message me for questions!!!! I live in an apartment, with a small yard. Though, there is a massive park walking distance from my apt! and I would love to walk the doggies wherever they want to go / are used to! and in the clients home, I’d love to make sure everyone is safe and sound and gate are closed before pets go out.
