“Jenna was absolutely amazing and our cat immediately accepted her as a preferred visitor by rubbing up against her and purring! Jenna also sent great pictures and wrote detailed rover cards so we knew that our girl was well taken care of. We will definitely be booking with Jenna again!”

“Haley was so great with my dog Prince. He barks at everyone, and he warmed up to her right away! She is so nice and very accommodating! I highly recommend her for your dog sitting needs!”

“Barbara has been great with my two cats every time I’ve booked her. Always makes it easier to leave them when I know someone who truly cares about them will be watching them!”

“Kristie was amazing! This was our first time using Rover, and I’m so glad we chose her! Our cat usually takes a little while to warm up to new people, but she went right up to Kristie on the very first day! It made us feel so comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We’ll 100% be using Kristie again in the future!”

About: Hi there! My name is Sammy and I currently work in Finance remotely. I've always had a love for all animals - dogs, cats, birds, frogs, fish... the list goes on. I have not had the opportunity to have my own dogs/cats in my home, but I've taken care of family & friends' pets for many years and have always given their fur babies such amazing care and attention. I am extremely detail-oriented and follow directions precisely. I'm currently working remotely so I have plenty of time to provide attentive care as often as needed during the week with lots of time for fun! Safety is my #1 priority and I will always contact you if I'm unsure of next steps. Pets are family so they will be given my full care and attention.
“Jessica is the best. Our two cats love her and come running when she arrives. We feel secure with her taking care of things on the homefront when we are on vacation. She is always our first and only choice!”

About: I’ve always taken a special interest in animal care. I have over 20 years experience taking care of various types of pets ranging from rats to large dogs. I have worked as the lead canine educator for Petsmart as well as a sitter for friends and family. I’m new to Rover but not to pet care. I love being able to give pet parents the peace of mind knowing that their pet is safe and getting the care they need with me. I am only self employed otherwise and I enjoy working schedules that allow me flexibility to have a good work/life balance. I am able to schedule pet care around my other responsibilities. I have indoor cats. I advocate for all cats to be indoor. I do not plan on watching pets in my own home. I would prefer clients have a fence but I’m comfortable with pets on a leash.
About: Family, friends, neighbors, pretty much everyone I grew up around have all had pets growing up Ive been surrounded by them and loved them my whole life. Im currently working a part time postion while still in online college courses so I will have plently of time on my hands to cater to your furry friends needs. I have a very big and open yard that is fenced in on all sides as well as my own dog that lives with me.
About: My entire life I have had a plethora of pets, from dogs and cats to birds and rats. I am an animal lover of all shapes, sounds, and sizes and I will strive to make sure that your pet feels the same love and affection that I show towards my own! 🐱🐶 I work a full-time job as a daycare teacher every weekday from 8:30am-5pm, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t have time for your loving pet! I am available any weekday you need me after 5pm for evening walks, some feeding time, and maybe even an extra treat or two! I also hold open availability on weekends for pet sitting, walks, feedings, and anything you may need! When being in my clients home I vow to hold respect and carefulness. It is not my home and I will treat it as such, with that being said I am comfortable doing any task the owner has set for me to perform within the home!
About: I've been looking after dogs and cats since I was 12! They've ranged from my grandma's shitzu to dog sitting mastiffs! I've even watched reptiles like ball pythons and geckos. I've walked, bathed, fed, watered, and loved them the whole time. I, myself, have 2 bunnies, fish, and a ball python. All together the most dogs I've ever watched at the same time was 28! It was 5 adults dogs, one puppy the equivalent to a toddler, and 22 puppies! I am willing to go to the cape and islands for house sitting! At the moment I'm hoping that pet care will become a full-time job. At the moment I am able to do any day and any time. I, sadly, do not have a cute puppy or kitty to play with your fur baby, however it just means they get more love from me! I can lift a 75 pound dog if needed and have the resources to contain one if necessary.
“Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. Thank you, Ixia!”

About: I have experience with dogs of all ages. I have grown accustomed to a range of feeding, walking, grooming and play schedules and also have experience administering medication. I can handle dogs around other pets, acting to keep everyone involved comfortable and safe. I have lots of free time after classes and only a part time work schedule in the summer. I am able to make time morning, afternoon and night! Until August 15th, I will be living with two roommates. One of which have a cat and a dog who are very friendly. I aim to keep boarding to a minimum until I move into my new space where I will have a lot more room and there would be no. concern with pets interacting and living with other pets that they do not know.

About: I’ve been working in the veterinary field for 5 years. All my life I had a soft spot for animals. Big or small. I would be the perfect person to babysit ( yes I said baby sit because they are our fur babies ) your pet because your pet would have my FULL attention. I will treat your pet as if he or she was my own. Animals hold a special place in my heart. Every time I see one it’s like love at 1st sight. “When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal, I see a living being, I see a friend, I feel a soul” I do work at a vet hospital, I will try to rearrange my schedule the best I can ! And when I’m not working I will be with your pet ! I will care for your pet as if he/she is my own. From experience I know pets get flustered when routines are messed up just like we do ! I will follow any routine you have so they don’t miss a beat.
About: Hi, my name is Lenore. I have taken care of pets for over 25 years and pride myself in being the best dog auntie I can be! To help owners with consistency in training, I am respectful of your regular routines and special needs. I have had success caring for skittish dogs and older dogs, and I have cared for tiny terriers as well as huge Newfies! I'm active, fit, and enjoy being outside. Thanks for considering me. I always meet with potential clients ahead of time for a free "meet and greet." I also provide loving cat care. (Check out the picture of my "grand cat" MuMu, on the photo page. I have a very flexible schedule and am often available for last minute needs. I am an early riser and have no fixed plans on weekends. I can provide care for your dogs in your own home, respecting your routines, limits, and habits. I do a thorough walk through with pet owners and make sure I get emergency contacts. In addition, I collect information on what the dogs appreciate! (Belly rubs? Tug of war games? Special snuggles?)

About: I’ve had the pleasure of caring for animals for over 10 years and have experience with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, and small animals. My passion for animal care led me to complete a semester of Animal Science coursework at Bristol Community College, where I gained knowledge in animal behavior, health, nutrition, and handling. As an aspiring canine trainer, I’m always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and build positive relationships with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, you can count on me to provide patient, attentive, and compassionate care while treating them like one of my own. Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize in my schedule. My availability is flexible, allowing me to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting throughout the week. I strive to keep pets on their normal routine as much as possible and will always provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, routines, and any special needs. I take the time to build trust with every pet, using positive reinforcement and patience to help them feel comfortable. I’ll also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Dartmouth
Kristie was amazing! This was our first time using Rover, and I’m so glad we chose her! Our cat usually takes a little while to warm up to new people, but she went right up to Kristie on the very first day! It made us feel so comfortable knowing she was in good hands. We’ll 100% be using Kristie again in the future!

I was nervous leaving my cat Bowie for our first trip away, and I think Bowie was a little nervous at first too, but they quickly became good friends! Nicole was super communicative throughout our trip, and we truly felt like we had left Bowie with a trusted friend. It gave us so much peace of mind. We will 100% be booking with Nicole again!

Jenna is absolutely amazing. This was our second booking with Jenna and our cat clearly adores her. Jenna not only comes to feed her and give her pets, but also looks out for our cat’s welfare and comfort during her visits as well. It is such a comfort to know she is in good hands when we are away!

This is our first time using Rover and we have to say there isn't a better option for our precious Lacey. We chose Barbara for her experience. After reading her profile and reviews we thought she'd be a perfect candidate. Lacey can be affectionate but often times she's to independent to bother. With the meet and greet she seemed comfortable and even allowed Barbara to pet her which usually takes some time but it was a sign. Everything went so well. We felt at ease knowing Lacey was comfortable with Barbara. We loved all of her pictures and we could tell that Lacey happy with Barbara's company. We're so thankful everything went as well as it did and we truly appreciate how caring and patient Barbara was with her. We would definitely recommend Barbara she really exceeded out expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
