About: I have an 11 year old shih tzu and a 13 year old Persian cat. I worked as a dog handler at a doggy daycare for six months caring for dogs off leash and also overnight. I am able to administer medications or any other request your pet may require. I currently walk dogs and petsit when I am needed. I am looking to get more clients for petsitting because I enjoy being around animals! It is always a bit stressful for pets when owners leave them. About: I volunteer at my local animal shelter and I am great with both dogs and cats. I grew up with my cat, Hepsiba, born before me who died when I was nearly 20 years of age. We were best friends before I knew what that was. Then at the age of 12 or so, my parents adopted 2 English cocker spaniels, brother and sister. Robbie and Flora. So I was taking care of three pets. Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For some time I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Sometimes from here to there, carefully, comfortably, gingerly. I have a background in psychology, and I’m a dog trainer and a bit of a behaviorist. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). My home was also a foster home and we had many litters of puppies and kittens come through on their way to their forever families!
