About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and truly love having them around. I do tend to spoil them, but I always follow the instructions you, the parent, provide. I have had senior dogs and puppies and always give them the extra care they need. We are a retired couple and always enjoy having a dog around us. We have plenty of time to play with pups, and give them lots of love. We have a fenced in backyard to play in, comfortable beds to sleep in. We won’t be taken in other family's dogs while yours is here.

Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For some time I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Sometimes from here to there, carefully, comfortably, gingerly. I have a background in psychology, and I’m a dog trainer and a bit of a behaviorist. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it, which I started in August 2025. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. I will basically be spending the entire time with your pets. We’ll wake up between five to eight in the morning, and we’ll go bed between eight and eleven at night. I’ll be up with them as they need and we’ll be in and out much more than is required. I am delicate and meticulous and believe in leaving no trace that I was there. About: I have l had the responsibility of taking care of my home pets ever since I could remember. We’ve always had a full house with dogs, cats, turtles, lizards, guinea pigs, chickens, and even a macaw. I have experience with senior dogs that require extra care as I have one of my own. I have also taken a few puppy training classes that I have used on my dogs as well as pups of close friends. Most of my pets have been rescues and I was able to use those skills to break bad, destructive habits that could’ve resulted in injury. I am currently a full time college student and a part time medical assistant at an urgent care clinic. Typically, I would have the most time to commit to intensive pet care in the early mornings, early afternoons, late evenings, and weekends. My dogs are crate trained and my pets typically spend their nights in their designated areas. In the mornings everyone is opened, greeted with many pets and kisses, and fed. The dogs are walked and trained for a bit before my departure. I make sure to leave a few brain engaging toys/ treats while gone for the day. Once I return, the process is repeated with a longer evening walk and extra cuddle time. My senior dog required a bit more attention with daily injections and a specific diet. I am sure I would take care of your pet with the same care and love I give my pets.

Depending on your dog's needs I can usually provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours in between errands, etc. My calendar will be updated to show days I plan to be away. At this time, I can care for pets in my client's home. I do need to bring my dogs for the overnight portion of the stay but will keep them separate in a room/space of your choosing during the evening (and on bedroom floor at night). They are very dog friendly just very sleepy and do well snoozing someplace quiet.

“Celina was wonderful. She made Maui's time with her and her pup Smokey, so great. Big yard, plenty of room to run and snuggle time when inside. She also made it easier to leave Maui with her wonderful personality and openess to let Maui do things on her timetable. She was very good at sharing photos and videos of Maui's time with her. I will use her services whenever I have to step out of town and not have to worry about my little pupper.”
“My Labrador Gus is by my side everyday. So, leaving him with someone else for a week was difficult. Carrie was absolutely great, alleviated all my concerns and sent daily pictures to show how Gus was doing. When I picked him up, I knew Gus was in good hands as he didn’t race to leave. Instead, he greeted me and then just hung out on the porch. I highly recommend Carrie if you are looking for someone to care for your pet.”
