About: Hey Guys! My name is Jess and I currently live in E. Taunton. Although I am new to Rover I have been pet sitting for over 15 years. I currently have two dogs of my own, Callie (13) and Sadie (4) I have cat named Chase (14, who resides with my parents and best bud Oreo). Ever since I was a kid I loved animals, and wished I could have them all. I have had dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, an hedgehog and even pigeons as a kid that I would help my dad with. I worked in pet retail for 14 years. Here I have also dealt with small animals, reptiles, cats and dogs. I have gained knowledge on animal nutrition as well as some training tips. “Ixia was absolutely wonderful with our Pointer/Pit mix, Crimson. This was our first time using Rover, and our first time leaving our dog for an extended period of time. (We had to take a trip out of state on short notice.) From the get-go, Ixia was very professional and attentive during our phone consultation - taking notes, checking details, learning the little intricacies of Crimson's routines. Crimson also has a torn ACL, so special care has to be taken during daily activities to ensure the injury doesn't worsen. Ixia was very reliable, responsive, and communicative with us the entire time. She was on time for every visit, sent us pictures of our pup, played with her, spent lots of time in the yard, and even went above and beyond to accommodate some extra drop-ins we hadn't originally planned. We were very impressed and thankful for the loving care that she provided our animals and by her professionalism and communication. 11/10 recommend, and will definitely be reaching out to her again in the future. About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have always cared for them from walks to feeding to just playing. I know how to care for them and they trust me. I can work every weekday at pretty much anytime, though afternoons are preferred as those are the times most often available for me. I can also help multiple times a day as needed. About: Had a 5 month old pup at aged 9 (also had a dominant cat) taught her basics and more over time until she needed medication due to her old age. Looked after friends senior dog which needed meds with food and their other dog that had special dietary needs including medication 3 times a day. House and dog&cat sat for friends that would go away to France for a long weekends I have plenty of time to give care and attention. I am not working at the moment and in between job maybe this is my calling we have a lot of space in the home and in the yard. We do not have any of our own pets yet, but we are talking a lot about them. We have a large 4ft fenced in grass yard and a large basement to allow for off leash freedom to play regardless of weather. Over the back fence we have active cranberry bogs with loads of open space and smells perfect for long walks. I am a fast walker and happy to cover 3-5 miles on a walk. Any fur-babies that need to stay overnight will be looked after like they are my own. I’ll send lots of pictures and make sure your pet is comfortable with as much attention as it needs.
