About: Since I was a toddler I’ve had dogs around me, growing up with Newfoundland’s (they are big!!) and German shepherds. I also have experience with other large breeds like Great Danes and hounds as well as small like Maltese’s and chi weenies! I love all dogs and exploring with them! I do work as a teacher so I will be available for evening walks as well as weekends. My own dog I walk daily rain or shine and will do the same for you! I have a chiweenie who is very friendly and loves adventures! We love walks- long or short! I understand not all dogs mesh well with others so my dog can always stay home from walks!

“Sara was an actual Vacation saver! I had a different sitter scheduled and he messed up the day and she was able to save me from having to come back early from vacation. My dogs love her, she is super communicative and helpful. I have two older dogs and they both awrmed to her right away. She has been super helpful and I'm so happy I found her on Rover!”

“We are so lucky to have found Heath. Heath is very responsive, sends lot of photos, and has been very accommodating with our schedule including last-minute out-of-town trips and efficient key pick-ups. Our cat, Olive, simply loves Heath! We feel very secure knowing that she is in great hands, and so appreciate the flexibility that gives us. We have already rebooked Heath several times and plan to continue to do so as long as we can!”

“Our pups love Montana! She took great care of our two girls and we loved the pics. We came home to two very happy and well-exercised pups. Thank you for accepting such a short notice booking!”

About: I have a passion for dogs and I enjoy spending time with dogs and taking the time to train them. I am dog walking various types of dogs and focused on leash pulling, reactivity, recall and basic commands. I'm currently working part-time, so I have a flexible schedule. I work every other weekend in the morning and afternoon and I work a few nights. I have a young dog at home I often take him on walks and play ball with him. I also have a 13 years old English Golden Retriever. I still take her on small walks. I regularly walk two Great Danes 2-3 times a week. I working on leash reactivity and pulling.

“Payton is honestly one of the best pet sitters I’ve ever came across. I am so happy and grateful that I found someone as trusting, kind, caring, and very loving towards my animals. I have one dog that is very anxious and scared of people, as well as other dogs. He warmed up to her right away and seemed so calm and happy when we golt home. Paton definitely is a gem she kept in contact with me sending me pictures and letting me know how the dogs were doing. She is so attentive, came on time and always kept me informed. She is lovely with animals and we are looking forward to her sitting for us in July. Thank you for treating my anxious dog with such care and love. I also appreciate her going out of her way and putting out packages inside when it was raining outside.”
About: I have done in home visits and dog walking for pets of all types. 3 years of experience. Tons of availability. True animal lover at heart. Many references available. I am currently not working and I'm looking for a few regular gigs to keep me busy. I love to walk and hike. I love people and animals in general. I currently am a homemaker with a fenced in yard, three cats at home, and a dog nephew who gets dropped off for at my discretion for either a long day of daycare or a sleepover.
“This was Heather's first visit with my dog. She was communicative and understanding of his needs. Sometimes it takes him a little bit to warm up, and by the end of the visit, he was rolling over for belly rubs. I look forward to her staying with him in the coming weeks while I'm away!”
“Myah has been such a great fit for my pet care needs. She is professional, a great communicator and most importantly, my dog loves her! I would not hesitate to recommend her and will absolutely be booking with her for future pet care.”

“Kerryanne was fantastic and helped me to have peace of mind while I was away. This was my first time having a pet sitter for my two cats, and she listened to everything I had to say, was very reassuring, and it was simply a fantastic experience over all.”

“Alani was awesome with drop ins for our cat. We were very nervous leaving our cat home for the first time, but Alani helped ease our minds with great communication and pictures! Thank you again!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life: dogs, cats, bunnies, chickens, you name it! My smallest dog ever was a chihuahua and my largest is a cane corso. My home was also a foster home and we had many litters of puppies and kittens come through on their way to their forever families! I work full time so I am primarily available on weekends, but I do work from home once a week if you need a last minute walk or check in on a pet! I am happy to take your pet outside, feed them, play with them, go for a walk or to get some exercise! I am unable to take them in my home but happy to work with you to fit you and your pet’s needs.
“Christina had an instant rapport with Peaches. It's obvious she loves working with animals. She is patient and kind. She builds trust by taking her time and letting the animal get comfortable. This was a great experience and I would recommend her wholeheartedly.”

“It is so, so great to have a sitter that is not afraid of my zoo! As the owner of two cats, ten geckos, and ten snakes, all with different personalities ranging from shy to outright grumpy, I am very comforted by Rich's confidence in caring for them. I am a total momma bear when it comes to ALL of my critters (even the bitey ones), and I don't even worry while I'm away on vacation.”

About: Growing up I’ve always had a dog in the house. I’ve always looked up ways to train my dogs and teach them tricks. I’d watch dog whisper shows to learn more about dogs and how to connect with them. I’m very passionate about giving my best care and love to all beings. I have a dog of my own right now that I treat like a child. She’s practically a puppy and I taught her so much within just a year of having her. I had my previous dog for 7 years and taught her so many things. I look forward to treating other dogs the same way. I have great customer service skills as well as being very optimistic and aware of my surroundings. I give my best work and never leave a project unfinished. I’m in between jobs at the moments so I’m open as of right now. I like mid mornings and afternoons. I have a dog of my own so knowing ahead of time helps prepare my day for her. I crate trained my old and new dog. I’m still teaching my dog who has an eating disorder how to free range the house without supervision. She’s still learning so I have to keep her on a leash so she doesn’t get into things she can’t eat. I keep toxic things out of reach.
“Super awesome with Brickley!! Went on a long walk with our active puppy, and was flexible and communicative with us humans too. Brickley’s looking forward to a long friendship with Hayley!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
