“Breanna came for a meet and greet and totally made us feel at ease. She is very punctual and her love for animals really shows. The pictures she shared of her visit with Brady were awesome! Thank you for allowing us to go about our day without any fur baby worries!”

About: I have always had pets since I was a child: dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, etc…ranging from young dogs and kittens to senior dogs and cats. I am able to problem solve their different needs and administer meds. I am patient, responsible, and would love spending time with your furry friends. I am a teacher and have afternoons, nights, and weekends available during the school year, and a flexible schedule during the summer months. I am looking forward to caring for your pet with check-ins. During check-in visits, I will follow your care instructions and use my background knowledge to be there for your beloved pet. I love checking in and making sure pets are well cared for!
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a kid and have always loved them. Home for a while on break and would love to help some of you out! I’m insanely available because I am on break from school. I’m available pretty much every day and am ready to walk any dogs I can. I have a dog of my own and I love him so much and treat him like the most spoiled guy around. I would love to do the same to your pet.
“Amara has a good personality. She was punctual. She took a lot of pictures of Reesee and she gave me updates every day which I loved. She took the time to go to the third floor which is the loft to take pictures of Reesee because Reese's can be very shy I really appreciated that.💕 I would recommend her. I'm glad we met Amara!”

“Alani was awesome with drop ins for our cat. We were very nervous leaving our cat home for the first time, but Alani helped ease our minds with great communication and pictures! Thank you again!”

About: I’ve just recently moved back home from Scotland after being there for about 7 years. While there I did use rover as a part time job while finishing my Veterinary Medicine degree. I’m happy to announce I graduated in 2024 and have been a practicing vet since. I love learning from the pets I sit because every time personality is different and each experience can give me so much. I’m happy to cater to whatever you pet needs! I have a varying schedule throughout the week. I work most week days with various start times but most end times at 7.30pm. I’m happy to help owners organize with me what works best for them though! I do not take safety lightly and am happy to cater to whatever needs are required by the owner. I do have family pets at home who don’t like strangers so unfortunately I will not be allowing anyone to be boarded at my house.
“Jillian was incredible with our 6 month old puppy. She was responsive before, during and after booking. She was sweet, receptive to my extensive instructions and my puppy loved her. She spent time with him, took him on walks, played with him and made him so happy. She sent pictures each time she visited, ensuring us he was looked after. I will rebook her every-time we need care and would recommend her to anyone looking for compassionate, respectable care for their animals.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Mae. She was wonderful with my cats. She was reliable, punctual and followed all of my crazy requests. I felt comfortable being away. I hope she is available the next time I have to be out of town.”

“I could tell on Wyatt's meet and greet that Andrea was a compassionate animal care giver. Wyatt took to her immediate and by the end of the visit they were fast friends. I was able to go away with my mind at ease that Wyatt will be well cared for. Andrea sent updates and pictures with every visit letting me know he was okay. I now look forward to getting away more because I know my skittish rescue dog is in good hands. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Andrea.”

About: I am a go to for dog or cat sitting when it comes to my family and friends. Growing up my family always had dogs ranging from golden retrievers and chihuahuas. I currently have a cat of my own who is my work from home bestie. I work full time from home so have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I have one furry child of my own, but that is all! I always ensure that pets have a clean and comfy environment. For my own cat, I know that this helps her stress while I am away.
“Daniel was great with our dog Squid. Squid can be a bit wary of new people, but he handled it very well. He was prompt on his check ins, gave us great updates, and made sure our little buddy was doing well. We will definitely use Daniel again!”

“I'm a fur mama to two kitties and I love using DogVacay. It's always nice to find a host, like Michele, that doesn't mind checking in on other kinds of animals. I recently moved to Bridgewater and reached out to Michele, who responded so quickly and was more than willing to work around my schedule for a meet-and-greet. Instantly my hubby and I loved her and so did our babies! We had her check on our cats daily each morning for about a week. My instructions were followed to a T, we would receive texts frequently letting us know how they were doing, and she even paid them an extra visit just because she wanted to play with them! The cats really loved her and I look forward to booking her again when we go out of town. I would highly recommend Michele - she's kind, funny, and so sweet!”

Montana made us feel very comfortable leaving Mabel with her. Mabel took to her immediately. Shes not an affectionate dog but she was a bit with Montana so we knew she'd be safe. Montana sent photos and videos of her playing outside with Mabel which made me very happy. Ill definitely be hiring her again and again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
