“Kerry is fantastic! She is a great communicator, took wonderful care of my 3 cats multiple times. She feeds them, plays with them, takes pictures, etc. it’s so comforting knowing they are in good hands when o am away that they are in the best hands possible. She is the best!”

“Kami has been absolutely wonderful with my shy boy, Milo. She’s incredibly kind, reliable, patient, & communicates so well. The first visit, Milo was hesitant to come out of his crate. Kami gave him space to build his confidence, shared treats, reached out to me to let me know & ensure what she was trying would be what’s most effective for Milo, & made an extra visit to my home just to give him extra space & time. I appreciate knowing the same care, effort, & patience is given to my sweet boy when I have to be away without him. I highly recommend her!”

About: Had a 5 month old pup at aged 9 (also had a dominant cat) taught her basics and more over time until she needed medication due to her old age. Looked after friends senior dog which needed meds with food and their other dog that had special dietary needs including medication 3 times a day. House and dog&cat sat for friends that would go away to France for a long weekends I have plenty of time to give care and attention. I am not working at the moment and in between job maybe this is my calling we have a lot of space in the home and in the yard. We do not have any of our own pets yet, but we are talking a lot about them. We have a large 4ft fenced in grass yard and a large basement to allow for off leash freedom to play regardless of weather. Over the back fence we have active cranberry bogs with loads of open space and smells perfect for long walks. I am a fast walker and happy to cover 3-5 miles on a walk. Any fur-babies that need to stay overnight will be looked after like they are my own. I’ll send lots of pictures and make sure your pet is comfortable with as much attention as it needs.
“Mimi seemed just fine when we got home last night. Quinn sent daily photos which were nice to see while we were away and missing her. We were grateful that she hadn't shredded the sofa or the carpet, or anything. And Quinn mucked out the litter box, which wasn't on my Rover list, so thanks for that! The house key was right where I asked that it be left. Besides being available over the holiday weekend, Quinn was very accommodating for times and for meet-and-greet. I hope she'll be available to sit for Mimi in the future.”

About: I have done in home visits and dog walking for pets of all types. 3 years of experience. Tons of availability. True animal lover at heart. Many references available. I am currently not working and I'm looking for a few regular gigs to keep me busy. I love to walk and hike. I love people and animals in general. I currently am a homemaker with a fenced in yard, three cats at home, and a dog nephew who gets dropped off for at my discretion for either a long day of daycare or a sleepover.

“Linda watched our cat, Maka, while we were out of town this past weekend. She was a sweetheart and went over and beyond to make sure Maka was taken care of, sending plenty of pics and videos each time she visited. Very appreciated!”

“Our four-month-old Golden retriever puppy was SO excited to see Sarah again! He got the puppy zoomies. She really understands puppies, and is patient, loving, and playful - and good at avoiding his land-shark puppy teeth! We - and our puppy - will look forward to seeing Sarah again.”

“Alani was awesome with drop ins for our cat. We were very nervous leaving our cat home for the first time, but Alani helped ease our minds with great communication and pictures! Thank you again!”

About: In my 30 years, I have always had at least one pet in my care. Growing up, I took care of dogs, goats, chickens, rabbits, degus and more. I have personal experience with "exotic" animals such as hamsters, rats, chinchillas, etc. I have a combined 7 years of experience with animal care in a professional setting, including work at a pet store, as an Animal Care technician for laboratory animals and as a receptionist and kennel/boarding assistant in a veterinary hospital. I am a true animal lover and I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy to care for your furry family. I am available several days a week for drop in visits for new and current clients. Drop ins include let outs, feedings, play time, medications, etc as needed. I am available for live in care to current clients only. There are days that I will not be able to be full time at your home.
About: I am fun, loving, and caring especially when it comes to pets! I am a big dog lover and grew up with dogs, but also had a cat when I was younger!! I work from home and need to get out of the house as much as the dog does! I have super flexible hours and can’t wait to meet new furry friends. I am very active! I always provide love and attention to all pets! I make sure they are cared for often and at the right times. They deserve all the love!
About: I have been taking care of animals in some capacity for many years. Whether it has been taking care of my own pets, dog grooming, 4H, or as a vet tech, I have always had animals in my life. I have owned many cats and dogs during my life. Now that I have more time available, I would love to take care of your animals. My home is currently pet free, but pet friendly. I also have the ability to come to you. I have experience caring for elder pets, as well as administering medications as needed. I love all animals as if they are my own and can't wait to make some new animal friends. I am currently retired and have my days and nights available for your pets. I am in a quiet neighborhood for walks and also close to major highways to travel to you with a dependable car. I would follow any care instructions given, as well as providing the animal routine and attention. Food, exercise, potty breaks, and rest are given as instructed or needed. I would care for the animal like it was my own.
“Brittanie is very professional and respectful. My boys love seeing her. They feel comfortable around her. I have no problems when I get home. They are relaxed. Will definitely be booking again”

About: Been around animals my whole life, went to a college for vet tech for a short period, love caring for all types of animals, my cat would agree! I work from home so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m around a majority of the day, but after 5 pm, I’m especially yours! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Middleborough. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
