About: I’ve cared for animals for most of my life and have tons of experience with pets.I’m patient, attentive, and truly love being around animals. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM, so I’m available for pet care in the late afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. I can provide walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and other care around my work schedule. I’m dependable and do my best to keep pets on their normal routine. About: I volunteer at my local animal shelter and I am great with both dogs and cats. I grew up with my cat, Hepsiba, born before me who died when I was nearly 20 years of age. We were best friends before I knew what that was. Then at the age of 12 or so, my parents adopted 2 English cocker spaniels, brother and sister. Robbie and Flora. So I was taking care of three pets. Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For some time I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Sometimes from here to there, carefully, comfortably, gingerly. I have a background in psychology, and I’m a dog trainer and a bit of a behaviorist. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it, which I started in August 2025. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. I will basically be spending the entire time with your pets. We’ll wake up between five to eight in the morning, and we’ll go bed between eight and eleven at night. I’ll be up with them as they need and we’ll be in and out much more than is required. I am delicate and meticulous and believe in leaving no trace that I was there. I want my client after their time away from home and their animals to not be met with the mess that I could be leaving behind. I am committed to performing an act of cleaning based on the tools available.
About: Ever since I can remember there's been a dog in the house. From English Mastiffs to Cava-poos, Boxers to Golden-doodles-I've had my fair share of caring for gentle giants and forever puppies. I currently have a doodle as well as a tabby cat, and yes, I do consider them as my children. I'm comfortable with any breed, and will always ensure they get the best care while you're away! While I do work full-time, I follow teacher hours and am fortunately out by about 3 PM. This will give me the afternoons/evenings free for play and dinner time. For the pups, I'll be able to bring them for a walk, to play fetch, cuddle up on the couch, etc. In your home, I will abide by your guidelines to a T-whether that involves a strict eating/bathroom-ing schedule, administering medications, exercise routines, crate-training, etc. I am a very clean person and do not mind washing bowls or vacuuming some fur whenever necessary.
