They responded to my first contact almost immediately and were very attentive in getting back to me so we could arrange our meet and greet. They took care of Johann for 5 nights and would send me pictures daily and keep me posted. Johann adapted very well and we could see he was being well taken care of and having a fun time! About: As a life long owner of cats and dogs, I understand that finding care for your precious family member is a difficult choice. I love to be outside with my own dogs and cuddling inside with my cats, so giving yours the same love and care will be an easy task.

About: I have had cats my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I understand their behaviors, moods, and unique personalities, and I’m comfortable with everything from feeding routines and litter box cleaning to playtime and giving them space when they need it. I’ve also cat sat for others, making sure their cats stay on schedule and feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. In addition, I work closely with cats at an animal shelter where I help clean enclosures, provide enrichment, monitor their behavior, and give them plenty of attention and socialization. I also work at a cat café, where I interact with a variety of cats every day and help ensure they are comfortable, happy, and well cared for in a busy environment. These experiences have made me patient, attentive, and confident in handling cats of all temperaments.
“It was the first time Darcy cared for my two young cats and she did so with warmth, devotion and care. We didn't know Darcy at first, so she came to visit on two separate occasions (!!) to meet my cats prior to my trip. She fed them morning and evening according to their baseline expectations and ensured that the kitty litters were always clean. They played with her and even my younger cat who is very shy warmed up readily to her and didn't want her to leave! Darcy also texted me updates and photos after each visit (so I wouldn't worry). I highly recommend Darcy: not only for the exquisite care but for her warm, kind, caring and considerate personality which animals so appreciate (especially when their families are away). Thank you, Darcy and for Rover for bringing you to us!”

I have a beautiful cat of my own but always grew up with both cats and dogs! I love walking dogs, playing fetch, and an excessive amount of belly rubs

About: I have taken care of numerous amounts of cats. Growing up I had a cat who I absolutely adored and haven’t been able the opportunity to get one so why not help take care of other peoples for now!!

I’m very comfortable with different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. I’m also an avid hiker, so I’m happy to provide longer walks or more active outings for dogs who enjoy adventure and are safe around other dogs. I’ve also worked with and volunteered for two different animal shelters, which gave me experience caring for a wide range of animals and helped me become comfortable around pets with different needs, backgrounds, and behaviors. Whether your pet needs exercise, patience, playtime, cuddles, or just someone dependable to check in on them, I’ll treat them like one of my own. i currently work as a therapist 8am-245pm. but sometimes i have an open slot. but available for pet support 3 and after as well as on weekends. i have a runner for if a pet needs to be at my home, about an acre, i have a hiking trail 4min from my home. i have 1 dog and 3 cats all very friendly

I’ll make sure your pets get plenty of attention, affection, patience, and care so they feel comfortable and cared for at all times. I work full time from home, so furbabies will receive constant attention, companionship, supervision, and love throughout the day. I understand the level of responsibility it takes to take for your loved ones. I provide loving, attentive care in a spacious home with a large backyard. No children or pets means your furbaby or furbabies receives my full attention.

About: Tim and Maxine are a devoted couple who provide calm, attentive, home-based care for dogs. Maxine has had dogs since age 8, and they have always been an important part of her life. Together, they share a deep love for animals and extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs of different temperaments and needs. Maxine also grew up in a household involved in wildlife rehabilitation, witnessing hands-on care for squirrels, birds, and other vulnerable animals. Animals have always been central to their lives. They are warm, gentle, and patient, and because they do not work outside the home, dogs receive consistent presence, supervision, and affection throughout the day. Dog care is naturally woven into our daily and weekly routine because we do not work outside the home. Being home allows us to structure our day around the cats’ needs rather than fitting care into limited free time. We are present throughout the day for feeding, walks, dog park visits, play, monitoring behavior, and providing comfort and attention. Because our schedule is flexible and home-based, we can respond quickly to changes in appetite, mood, or health, and maintain a calm, consistent environment that helps dogs feel safe and settled. We offer boarding exclusively in our home, providing dogs with a calm, safe, and structured environment. Because we are home full-time, dogs receive consistent supervision, walks, dog park outings, regular feeding, daily interaction, and close monitoring of behavior and comfort. We follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules and any special instructions.

“Elaine is an incredibly gifted woman regarding dog training. She is a gem. Our 4-month-old puppy spent two full days at her doggie day care and loved it. She commands attention from all dogs, small and large, and it felt so safe to leave our pup with her. She updated us with several photos of our pup’s activities throughout each day. She also reinforced some of his already learned techniques and taught him more. Her training advice helped us rewardingly. We will definitely return!! Thank you, Elaine!!”

“Jay is amazing! This has been my first round with the dog walker. I am new to town in a very over sensitive helicopter dog, Mom. I cannot express enough how great the career has been for my dog Benji. Jay was more than willing to do a meet and greet with me prior to booking so that I could see if there was a good vibe. There was definitely a good vibe. Trusting and loving my dog in a situation where I can’t be at home is something that I strive for and I definitely found it in Jay! Highly recommended!”

About: Love both cats and dogs. Love both species..I am available from Nov. 15th thru May 1st in Florida and in MA from May 15th thru October 31st.. I have a very good repour with both cats and dogs. All my neighbors have animals, mostly dogs, and they all have taken to me. People that have animals need someone to care for their pets and love their pets just as much as the owners due and it's very important to find those special type of people and I think that I am one of those persons. Love them all and care for them like their human beings and sometime they are! My daily routine depends on what the animal requires of me. Walking is very important to a dog and they like to get out and smell their surroundings. I will take dogs out if needed by the clients during the day or whenever needed by them. Two to three times a day if needed
About: I volunteer at my local animal shelter and I am great with both dogs and cats. I grew up with my cat, Hepsiba, born before me who died when I was nearly 20 years of age. We were best friends before I knew what that was. Then at the age of 12 or so, my parents adopted 2 English cocker spaniels, brother and sister. Robbie and Flora. So I was taking care of three pets. Then I raised Bruce, a rescued black lab mix from August 2013 until 2025 with some breaks for the US Army. And I taught him very well; he passed in June 2025 but he will always be my companion at my side. For some time I carried him, 120 lbs, up and down flights of stairs. Sometimes from here to there, carefully, comfortably, gingerly. I’ve taken care of pets for family members and friends. And did so professionally in the past prior to Rover, after friends got me into it. I’m great with animals. After spending even just a short time with them we can often establish a connection or rapport, especially when training a younger pet (or caring for an older dog). I enjoy taking dogs for long walks, I could run with your dog, play with them, but mostly we’ll be doing what they want - within reason. I will basically be spending the entire time with your pets. We’ll wake up between five to eight in the morning, and we’ll go bed between eight and eleven at night. I’ll be up with them as they need and we’ll be in and out much more than is required. I am delicate and meticulous and believe in leaving no trace that I was there. I want my client after their time away from home and their animals to not be met with the mess that I could be leaving behind. I am committed to performing an act of cleaning based on the tools available.
About: As a current Animal Science major at UMass Amherst and a graduate of Norfolk County Agricultural High School’s Animal Science program, I have hands-on experience working with dogs in many different settings, including training, handling, daily care, and veterinary care. What sets me apart is both my professional knowledge and my genuine love for animals. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, including energetic puppies and senior dogs who may need extra patience and attention. I understand animal behavior, how to prioritize safety, and I will always make sure pets feel comfortable, cared for, and loved. Whether your dog needs a long walk or simply companionship and affection, I will treat them with the best care possible! I'm currently working part-time while home from college, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide your dog with the attention, care, and exercise they deserve. I am comfortable safely crating your dog if needed and always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. During walks, I stay alert and am aware of my surroundings, including nearby animals or potential hazards, to ensure your dog remains safe at all times.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since before I can remember. Experienced in dog sitting, walking, calming down and grooming, with a wide range of dog types, and ages. I have a very bubbly personality, and I enjoy staying active. I’m currently working part-time one to two days a week so I have a very open schedule to take dogs on daily walks or sit when they need be. I’ve cared for pets in many different ways from walking to sitting to giving medication and providing comfort when anxious or scared. My dog in particular does not do well around loud noises so needs to be comforted during those times and cared for carefully.
“My dog got a cut on her ear walking in the woods, and Brittanie responded perfectly. She reached out to me, we discussed what to do, and she waited for my sister to arrive. Turned out to be very minor, but I was so grateful she was extra cautious and communicative. I feel really comfortable with her caring for my Millie.”

About: What sets me apart is my extensive background as a veterinary technician. I started in animal shelters and later worked in veterinary practices, caring for pets of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. That experience gives me confidence handling everything from energetic puppies who need structure and reinforcement, to senior pets requiring medication, patience, and gentle care. I’ve fostered more animals than I can count, which has given me a strong understanding of behavior, transitions, and how to make pets feel safe and secure in new environments. Although I’ve recently changed careers and returned to school, I deeply miss being around animals. My own pets have crossed the rainbow bridge, and caring for others’ fur babies truly fills that space in my heart. Pet sitting isn’t just a side job for me — it’s something I genuinely love. I live in a loving, multi-generational home where pets truly become part of the family. There is almost always someone around, which means plenty of supervised attention, affection, and companionship throughout the day. Dogs staying with us receive lots of love, playtime, and, of course, belly rubs. They are never left feeling alone and are spoiled in the very best way — with structure, safety, and tons of positive interaction. My goal is to provide a warm, home-like environment where your pet feels comfortable, secure, and genuinely cared for. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine. I’m currently a full-time student, which gives me a flexible schedule and the ability to plan my days around the pets in my care. I’m available most days and evenings, and I’m happy to accommodate overnight stays, drop-ins, or daytime care. If you need something specific, just reach out — I’m always willing to see if we can make it work! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. While I do not have a fenced-in yard, I have a large yard for leashed walks and supervised outdoor time. We also have a wonderful, quiet area right on my street that’s perfect for longer, structured walks. With my background as a veterinary technician, I’m very comfortable monitoring behavior, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and administering medications if needed. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I follow your routines closely to keep them feeling secure and at ease. While you’re away, your pet won’t just be “watched” — they’ll be cared for, exercised, and loved like part of the family. I truly aim to give them a safe, happy experience that feels like their own little vacation.
About: My life has included dogs for as long I can remember and I have always seemed to read them intuitively, including “problem dogs” that others have difficulty interacting with. I have extensive personal dog handling and grooming experience over the past 25 years and have owned up to 6 dogs at a time. I currently have a 10 year old Chihuahua-mix named Kitty but I have experience training and caring for Border Collies, American Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Terriers, Irish Terriers, Wire Fox Terriers, Poodle mixes, Great Danes, and a Wolf-German Shepherd hybrid. I am knowledgeable about canine body language and how to remain calm around anxious/fearful/aggressive dogs as well as how to redirect dogs from potential conflicts. I own and operate an event-services business which runs primarily on the weekends, allowing me to offer dog care Monday through Friday and on certain weekends as available. I am able to care for dogs according to their owner’s needs and requests. This may include administering medication, changing diapers, feeding, walking or just spending time with.
About: I have been walking dogs at local shelters on a volunteer basis for several years. I have experience walking a variety of small and large breed dogs. My walks are 40 minutes long. I charge $25 per walk. My prices stay the same no matter what the breed or age. I would like to set up a meet and greet prior to any walks. Building a strong relationship is important. I am a retired veteran. I have plenty of time in retirement to walk dogs. I am available to walk dogs on Tues, Weds, Thurs, Sat and Sun. I do not offer boarding. I am out to serve the dog and the owners alike. I want both to be happy with my services. I am capable of feeding. I can walk multiple times in a day. I can administer meds as needed.
About: With over a decade of hands-on experience caring for a wide range of pets, I bring both passion and professionalism to every pet sitting visit. I currently care for my 13-year-old Shih Tzu, a 10-year-old Maltese, and three beloved cats—so I’m well-versed in senior pet care, daily routines, and multi-pet households. I also have past experience owning larger and more demanding breeds, including Rottweilers, an English Bulldog, and a Black Russian Terrier, giving me a strong understanding of breed-specific behaviors and needs. From toy breeds to working dogs, kittens to senior cats, I tailor my care to fit each pet’s personality, health, and comfort level. Your pet will be in capable, caring hands. I’m flexible with timing and happy to work around my other commitments to find something that works for you. Whether you need daily visits, weekly check-ins, or help while you’re away, I’m here to make sure your pets are well cared for and comfortable. When I’m caring for your pet in your home, I treat it with the same respect and attention I would want for my own. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet and your space are in good hands. I make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved while sticking to their normal routines as much as possible. Whether it’s giving medications, keeping things tidy, or sending regular updates, I do everything I can to give you peace of mind while you’re away.
About: As a life long owner of cats and dogs, I understand that finding care for your precious family member is a difficult choice. When I meet any animal I move at their pace, understanding that all animals have different personalities and needs. I love to be outside with my own dogs and cuddling inside with my cats, so giving yours the same love and care will be an easy task. I’m currently working on a start-up project at home so my time is flexible. Regular care, or just a one time visit, I’m happy to work with you on your schedule. I am a pet owner myself and care about mine like they’re my children. Any medication needs or special assistance your pet requires is never too much for me to accommodate.
“I have never had a dog walker before and was a little nervous to have a random person from the internet in my home and taking care of my best fur friend. Sarah has been BEYOND amazing! She is SO friendly, a great communicator and sends cute pictures and videos to help me miss my little girl a little less while I’m at work! I truly trust her both with my dog and in my home. I could not recommend her enough!”

About: I’ve always lived with dogs and have often been asked by neighbors or friends to take care of their pups! I have experience with giving medicine and would be happy to give any other care your pup may need! I’m currently attending high school and working part-time so I will be available on any free days after 2-3ish for check ins or walking but I’m free for boarding any day and will make sure they get plenty of play time and love! I live with my mother, she and I have two cats and a dog. Our dog, for the time being, has to be crated while we’re both away though our cats have free roam. For boarding it will depend on how well trained your pup is to determine if they can be out while unattended but of course the goal is to have as little crate time as possible! For check ins and walking I’ll treat your fur baby (or possibly non furry baby) as if they were my own, lots of playtime and scratches!

I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, cleaning litter boxes, giving lots of attention, and making sure pets feel safe and relaxed in their own space. I also volunteer at the Humane Society animal shelter, where I help care for cats and dogs by cleaning enclosures, providing enrichment, and making sure they receive plenty of love and attention. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and make sure everything stays clean and organized. I provide regular updates, photos, and check ins so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I spend quality time with each pet, whether that means going on walks, playing with their favorite toys, or just sitting with them for cuddles and companionship. “Having moved recently to New Bedford, we didn´t have any close friends or relatives to leave our Lhasa Apso Johann with. We are so glad we came accross Taylor and Tyler on the Rover platform. They responded to my first contact almost immediately and were very attentive in getting back to me so we could arrange our meet and greet. They took care of Johann for 5 nights and would send me pictures daily and keep me posted. Johann adapted very well and we could see he was being well taken care of and having a fun time! We are so happy and thankful we now have a place to leave him when we next have to travel without him!”
