“Dana is seems to be very good with Keira. The dog is always happy in the pictures she sends. I think she does a great job. It was a big plus that she already knew how to use a gentle leader.”

I am available throughout the day for whatever your pet needs are. I am happy to help! I offer a full range of pet care in home or day/overnight boarding. I take the utmost care to ensure your pets safety or dietary needs.

“Andrea was fantastic and took such good care of my cats!! Made sure to always take the time to snuggle and play with them too. Always very prompt for each visit and very communicative!!! 10/10 recommend her services!”

About: I've been volunteering at the Richmond Animal League for over a year and have previous experience working at shelters and dog daycares. I've always loved caring for animals; I used to volunteer at the SPCA when I was younger and I have two dogs of my own that I enjoy taking on walks and playing fetch with in the backyard. I have a part-time job that I work 3-4 days a week (mostly evenings). Other than that, my schedule is pretty flexible! I'm available throughout the week, as well as weekends. I'm more interested in petsitting, but I can also do daily walks and drop-ins with enough notice! For petsitting, I'll be able to stay and take care of your pets for as long as you need me to be there. I can stay all day and even overnight if needed, or just check in periodically throughout the day! I'll carefully follow instructions given on feeding, walks/exercise, morning and bedtime routines, medications, and just overall entertainment. I'm great with dogs (and cats!) of all kinds of energy, whether they want to be active all day long, or just snuggled up on the couch!
“Shelby was great! She was available last minute to stop by to feed our cat, and was very professional and had great communication! Highly recommend and will be using her in the future.”

“Kayla was great, hung out and played with my cat and made sure everyone got fed & meds! She even washed the food plates instead of sticking them in the dishwasher. Thanks, Kayla!”

“Ruby loves Allison! We appreciate her prompt communication and attention to detail. She brings in my packages, searches for missing treasure Ruby has buried in the yard. Highly recommend!”

“Janini was fantastic!! She did a daily visit/walk. She showed up when she said she would and was in great communication for the 5 days she took care of my dog. I would highly recommend her!!”

We received regular updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. It was clear that our cats were well cared for and comfortable. We highly recommend Sydney to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: With three years of experience in animal welfare with time spent at CASPCA, RSPCA and RAL, I’ve had the joy of working with all kinds of dogs and kitties and getting to know the wonderful families who love them. My passion for animal care has only grown, and I’m always looking for new ways to continue doing what I love most: helping pets feel happy, safe, loved, and cared for like family. I know how much our pets mean to us, and I treat every dog I care for as if they were my own. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Westchester
My cat is very hesitant around new people. Ann was extremely understanding and accommodating of his quirks to make him feel comfortable with her being in his space. She gave me thorough updates and multiple pictures every day. I highly recommend her, especially if you have skittish or quirky animals.

Marina was a lifesaver! We found her when our original pet sitter bailed on us last minute. She was super personable and very friendly. My mom stayed at our house with our pets all week but we needed someone to come walk our dog and Marina was awesome. She also went above and beyond to help my mom with our cat who needed to go to the vet while we were gone. I definitely would recommend her! She treated our pets with care and love and my mom was super impressed with her all week.
Damacia was absolutely wonderful with my dog. Easy to work with, gentle, kind, and truly a dog whisperer. Bentley felt comfortable right away, and I could tell he was being cared for with real patience and warmth. I would absolutely trust Damacia again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, compassionate pet care.

Trinity was great! She was very flexible and able to work with me last minute over a holiday which is amazing. She communicated with me regularly and sent me pics and updates of my kitty. I came home to a happy kitty. I will definitely use her as a sitter again and highly recommend her.
I found out about Rover last minute and needed a sitter for my cat, Mr. Baby as my wife and I were leaving town for thanksgiving. Sarah replied very quickly and made sure Mr. Baby was taken care of and given lots of cuddles. Will absolutely be asking her to come take care of Mr. Baby in the future!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Westchester. On Rover:

- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
