About: I love dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages, but I have the most experience with caring for adolescent to senior dogs. I have experience administering medication if necessary, and adhering to special diets per veterinary instruction. Pet care is my main job! I am fully dedicated to taking care your furry friend(s) and I'm fully available to meet you beforehand to ensure we're a good team! About: I am based in Oyster Bay and am a retired teacher with six years of experience running my dog care business. I have had animals my entire life, ranging from a 3-pound teacup Chihuahua to a Great Dane, as well as cats, horses, and goats. This past summer, I rescued my sweet girl, Aruba...yes, we found her in Aruba :) She is wonderful with all of the dogs who stay with us. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and carefully maintain each pet’s established routine, including precise feeding schedules, medication administration, and appropriate daily exercise. When your dog stays with me, they immediately become part of our family. They are welcome throughout the home and may even sleep with us. During warmer months, I take the dogs to the beach for long, beautiful walks. I am available seven days a week and am always home. My two adult daughters, ages 24 and 22, also assist, ensuring your dog is never left alone. Services offered include daily walks, drop-in visits, feeding, and overnight care in your home when available. After all, doesn’t your dog deserve a vacation too? I am home majority of time except for the occasional errands etc. If I am not home I have 2 older daughters who help me keep the dogs company. My home is 100% smoke free! I have a fully fenced yard for the dogs to stay in so they can get some fresh air & play with their friends.

I have also recently fostered and trained a one year old (and 80 pound untrained) foster puppy at college this past year! About: Hi! I'm a wildlife biologist, and I've spent most of my life taking care of animals — in a veterinary setting, on wildlife conservation projects, and growing up in my own home with my family pets. I work as a full-time biologist during the spring/summer, and will have open availability over the fall, winter, and spring to help with your pet care needs! I started out as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital, where my days were cleaning dog kennels and cat cages, feeding and watering, walking dogs, giving oral and topical medications, holding animals for exams, and keeping daily records on everyone in our care. This job is where I learned how to understand an animal’s body language, and how to adjust my own to make sure they feel safe. Since then I've graduated from university and have worked as a field biologist for state and federal agencies, most recently monitoring endangered shorebirds at Jones Beach State Park here on Long Island. Along the way I provided daily care and feeding for state-owned horses in Oregon, and I've handled, banded, and released wild birds across four different groups — songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, and doves. If you have a bird and you get nervous about leaving them, let’s chat. I’d be happy to care for any feathered family members! At home I've kept lizards, snakes, birds, and aquariums of my own, so I'm comfortable with things like heat gradients and UVB, humidity, feeding schedules that aren't daily, and water parameters and filtration. I'd love to meet you and your crew! Currently, I have open availability from 10 am - 9 pm 7 days a week for drop ins and walks. For overnight stays, I am available anytime with 1-2 days notice. Before the first visit I do a free meet-and-greet. I want to see where everything lives — food, leash, litter, carrier, cleaning supplies — and I write the routine down rather than trusting my memory: feeding times and amounts, medications, which treats are allowed, how your dog behaves on a walk, and anything that frightens them. I also want your vet's name and number and a backup contact before I'm ever in the house alone. The thing I'm most careful about is doors. I come and go deliberately, I know where every animal is before I open anything, and I never leave a door propped. Dogs stay leashed the entire time they're outside with me, with no off-leash exceptions unless you've asked for it specifically. I give Medication exactly as written, at the time you've specified, and I confirm each dose with you. I don't adjust a dose or skip one because an animal is being difficult — I'll message you instead. Following written protocols precisely is most of what my professional work has been, in a veterinary hospital and in the field, and I treat your instructions the same way. I pay attention and I report: appetite, water, litter box or bathroom habits, energy, and anything that looks off. If something seems wrong I'll contact you right away. If it looks like an emergency and I can't reach you, I'll get your pet to your vet or the nearest emergency clinic and keep calling. And I look after the house. I clean up after your pet and after myself, I keep your keys and door codes private, I don't bring anyone with me, and I leave the place better than I found it. You'll get photos and a short real update after every visit. I also welcome any feedback, as that helps me do a better job in the future!

About: I have cared for animals ever since I was a little girl, have always had a dog in the house and would walk our neighbors dogs for fun every day. I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, guinea pigs, lizards etc. I am currently at stay at home mom for my 2 young daughters. I’m looking to make some extra money and play with as many dogs as possible with a my free time. We have a fenced in yard large enough for all types of dogs to run and play in. We also have double gates for extra safety in the yard. Inside the house we have gates set up to block off the livingroom where we can limit your dog from having access to the front door when people are entering and exiting the home. We also have a guest room that can be used if your pet gets overwhelmed or nervous and needs some alone or quiet time

About: Some would say i’m a pet whisperer because of my influence on dogs. I love to care for other dogs as if they were my own. I had two of my fur babies pass the rainbow bridge both living up to about 12 years. Mia is my 4 year old Shih tzu Bichon mix and despite her being a handful I wouldn’t have it any other way. I work full time so i usually take my dog for an hour or so walk after work and on the weekends. I try my best to squeeze in a walk in the morning but I’m more of a night owl. I have a maintained fenced yard for the fur babies to run around should they need! With plenty of toys to go around as well.
