About: I have had over 7 years of experience taking care of my own dogs, as well as dog-sitting/walking for family and friends, so I decided to take my skills and passion for dogs to Rover. I have also recently fostered and trained a one year old (and 80 pound untrained) foster puppy at college this past year! I am such an attentive, responsive, and caring dog lover and will always adapt to owners’ requests! This summer I will be freshly graduated from college, waiting to start my full time job in August, so my schedule is completely free and I am available to take care of your pups round the clock!!! I have a couple weekend trips planned here and there but my summer schedule is otherwise wide open! I am super respectful of the property and privacy of other’s I have dog and cat set for numerous friends and family before and will always leave your space cleaner than I left it! As someone who has hired and used dog-sitters in the past, I understand how much trust it takes to allow someone else to take care of your precious pup, so I will be sure to keep a constant line of communication about how your dog is doing whether it’s just me letting them out to go to the bathroom or a full dog-sitting stay!

About: I have been an animal lover my entire life, and dogs are the greatest animal of all. I currently volunteer at North Shore Animal League as well as the Hope for Cleo Animal Rescue in Suffolk. Love to play and give all the pets to our furry friends! I am a newly-licensed Registered Nurse taking a much-needed vacation. My schedule is 13 days a month at work, and the rest are off days, leaving plenty of time to walk doggies and drop in for potty breaks and play time. My dogs have always lived with a fenced-in yard, but I am not currently offering housing/boarding services. I am willing to travel to help take care of your pup!

About: Some would say i’m a pet whisperer because of my influence on dogs. I love to care for other dogs as if they were my own. I had two of my fur babies pass the rainbow bridge both living up to about 12 years. Mia is my 4 year old Shih tzu Bichon mix and despite her being a handful I wouldn’t have it any other way. I work full time so i usually take my dog for an hour or so walk after work and on the weekends. I try my best to squeeze in a walk in the morning but I’m more of a night owl. I have a maintained fenced yard for the fur babies to run around should they need! With plenty of toys to go around as well.

About: I have done dog walking on and off growing up during highschool through my college years! Then about 7 years ago i adopted a little Bengal kitten which also expanded my experience. I have also for the last 10 years and continuing did petsitting for my inlaws birds whenever they are away. Currently working part time and also am a part time student. About: Hi! I'm a wildlife biologist, and I've spent most of my life taking care of animals — in a veterinary setting, on wildlife conservation projects, and growing up in my own home with my family pets. I work as a full-time biologist during the spring/summer, and will have open availability over the fall, winter, and spring to help with your pet care needs! I started out as a kennel technician at a veterinary hospital, where my days were cleaning dog kennels and cat cages, feeding and watering, walking dogs, giving oral and topical medications, holding animals for exams, and keeping daily records on everyone in our care. This job is where I learned how to understand an animal’s body language, and how to adjust my own to make sure they feel safe. Since then I've graduated from university and have worked as a field biologist for state and federal agencies, most recently monitoring endangered shorebirds at Jones Beach State Park here on Long Island. Along the way I provided daily care and feeding for state-owned horses in Oregon, and I've handled, banded, and released wild birds across four different groups — songbirds, raptors, waterfowl, and doves. If you have a bird and you get nervous about leaving them, let’s chat. I’d be happy to care for any feathered family members! At home I've kept lizards, snakes, birds, and aquariums of my own, so I'm comfortable with things like heat gradients and UVB, humidity, feeding schedules that aren't daily, and water parameters and filtration. Before the first visit I do a free meet-and-greet. I want to see where everything lives — food, leash, litter, carrier, cleaning supplies — and I write the routine down rather than trusting my memory: feeding times and amounts, medications, which treats are allowed, how your dog behaves on a walk, and anything that frightens them. I also want your vet's name and number and a backup contact before I'm ever in the house alone. The thing I'm most careful about is doors. I come and go deliberately, I know where every animal is before I open anything, and I never leave a door propped. Dogs stay leashed the entire time they're outside with me, with no off-leash exceptions unless you've asked for it specifically. I give Medication exactly as written, at the time you've specified, and I confirm each dose with you. I don't adjust a dose or skip one because an animal is being difficult — I'll message you instead. Following written protocols precisely is most of what my professional work has been, in a veterinary hospital and in the field, and I treat your instructions the same way. I pay attention and I report: appetite, water, litter box or bathroom habits, energy, and anything that looks off. If something seems wrong I'll contact you right away. If it looks like an emergency and I can't reach you, I'll get your pet to your vet or the nearest emergency clinic and keep calling. And I look after the house. I clean up after your pet and after myself, I keep your keys and door codes private, I don't bring anyone with me, and I leave the place better than I found it. You'll get photos and a short real update after every visit. I also welcome any feedback, as that helps me do a better job in the future!

The only issue I’ve ever had was that a dog did not want to go back home but stay with me. About: Hello fur mamas and papas! My name is Lindsay, IV been with animals literally my entire life. I've had dogs, cat, rabbits. For the past 12 years, IV had three dogs (one we need to say goodbye to after 11 years) a Rottweiler, golden retriever and a little Pekingese. As well as several cats through the years. My absolutely know and fully understand more then anything that these are your babies. Because when I have to leave my animals with someone I want to know they're in the best hands (just like my children!) I love animals, going for walks, playing, bathing. Keeping company. I don't sit on my phone and call it "companionship" animals have emotions and love, and deserve to have the best of that when they're in someone else's care. I know without a doubt your fur babies are in the best hands, and you will feel so comfortable and secure as well. Thank you so much I'm currently working for myself, so this position is perfect! I love that I have the freedom to make my own hours, and do what I love. I do work as well, however I know my schedule weeks sometimes months in advance. So there would never be a conflict if a client (from Rover) scheduled with me. I live in a beautiful big house with a large backyard, completely fenced in. And dog friendly of course! In the backyard we have safe dog approved toys, dog scooper, kiddie pop up pool for the warm months. I also allow my pets I'm watching to be on the couches and beds. I also provide dog beds, water and food dishes. I'm always watching them as well. This is what I do full time and it's my passion!

About: Greetings, After graduating from college 30 years ago, I decided to become a professional dog walker/animal care specialist. I am currently walking multiple dogs all over the Long island area.
