“Nicole took such good care of Olive! It was last minute and she still took time to come by and meet her, make sure she was comfortable, ask for all of the necessary information and details, and Olive took to her immediately. I received regular updates and photos and came home to a happy and well cared for pup and clean home. I can’t recommend Nicole enough! She will care for your pets like they are her own.”

“Jack was wonderful! Arrived promptly, gave regular updates and circled back to make sure we arrived home n all was fine. Our 2 dogs enjoyed his company for the evening and he took them for several walks. I would highly recommend Jack for drop in walks or overnights. Such a peace of mind to know we have such a reliable, caring n really nice guy on standby to be with our dogs when we need to go out or travel.”

About: Hi! My name is Jesse, and I’m a 21-year-old college student with a passion for staying active and helping others. While I’m new to Rover and don’t have professional pet-sitting experience yet, I’ve always enjoyed being around animals and understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for your pets. I’m responsible, reliable, and attentive to details. I currently work in customer service roles where communication, punctuality, and creating a positive experience are essential. I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I would want for my own. Whether your dog needs walks, playtime, overnight care, or just some extra company while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re gone. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! As a student with a flexible class schedule, pet sitting fits easily into my week. I have plenty of open time for mid-day drop-ins, feeding, walks, and evening visits, making it easy to accommodate your pet's routine. Whether visiting your home or caring for your pet, safety and clear communication are my top priorities. I follow all feeding and care instructions strictly, keep living spaces clean, and send regular photo updates so you always know your pet is safe.
“Excellent across the board! Not the first time we’ve worked with Ashley and won’t be the last. She’s great with Murphy and Benny and has been wonderful with Murphy’s special needs.”

“Lin was amazing at caring for our dog while we were away! I had to book last minute and she was able to take care of everything for us. You can really tell that she cares for dogs. She was great with communication and sending updates also. Highly recommend!”

“Valerie was great! From the moment we met her we knew Rocky would be in greats hands. She took Rocky on many walks and they played plenty of fetch. Valerie is a trustworthy and reliable Rover sitter, we are happy we found her.”

About: I have over six years of experience caring for dogs and cats of different ages, sizes, and personalities. I genuinely love animals and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pet while you’re away. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, playtime, basic grooming, administering routine medications when instructed, and giving pets plenty of attention and affection. As a nursing student with a healthcare background, I’m very responsible, observant, dependable, and comfortable following detailed care instructions. I’m currently completing an accelerated nursing program, and pet sitting is the perfect flexible side job to fit around my school schedule. My availability varies depending on classes, but I have availability throughout the week, evenings, and weekends. I’ll always keep my Rover calendar updated so pet parents know exactly when I’m available, and I’m happy to discuss your pet’s routine ahead of time. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. I carefully follow each pet parent’s instructions regarding feeding, walks, medications, routines, and any special needs. I understand that every animal has a different personality, so I take the time to let pets become comfortable with me at their own pace. I’ll treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would expect for my own, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos while you’re away.
“Micheal was fantastic from the first point of contact . Communication was excellent before caring for Holly and Kobe and during the time they were in his care. Micheal ensured he had all the information he needed to care for Holly and Kobe . He took the time to get to know them before we went away . Whilst we was on holiday Micheal would send daily updates with photos. We did not have to worry about Holly and Kobe whilst on holiday as we knew they were being well cared for . We had two happy dogs on our return from holiday and they have not sulked with us for the first time for leaving them !”

About: I provide dependable, loving care for dogs, cats, and other pets, including feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, medication reminders, and maintaining their normal routines with care. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I’m able to schedule in-home visits around my work schedule and prioritize reliable, consistent care with regular communication and updates. My preference is providing in-home visits at the pet’s own home, where they can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I can accommodate care in my home for special circumstances when needed.
About: Don’t see that I’m available when you’d like to book? Please feel free to message me, and I’ll see if I can accommodate. Thank you for your interest! PLEASE NOTE: I WORK A FULL-TIME JOB IN AN OFFICE (based in Juno Beach) and may not be able to check on your pets as frequently as you’d like, especially during the day. I have experience caring all kinds of animals, personally and professionally for more than 10 years. Growing up and through adulthood, my family always owned Golden Retrievers. When I was young, I expressed interest in animal care and owning my own pets, ranging from small mammals, birds, and reptiles. In my teenage years, I started out pet sitting for family friends and have continued to pick up pet/house sitting gigs whenever and wherever I can. I also have experience administering medication to some of the animals I’ve cared for. Professionally, I have worked at a veterinary hospital and boarding facility for two summers. At this facility, I was responsible for the care and socialization of dogs of various sizes and demeanors. I also worked at my local humane society caring for cats and dogs with different lead styles, temperaments and bite thresholds. I was responsible for providing the dogs with three walks a day. Through this job, I also have some experience with clicker training and administering bordatella and rabies vaccines to incoming stray dogs. Looking to make extra money doing what I love! I do work full time, so my most open days for all services are Saturday and Sunday. However, I can accommodate AM drop in visits any day of the week. And I am open to pet sitting in your home any day, as long I can work it around my full time job. I provide regular photos and updates to owners to build and instill trust. I also make sure to follow care instructions as written to ensure proper care as intended. And I make sure to bring a calm and confident energy when entering and inhabiting your pet’s space. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority!
“Clare is an amazing sitter! This was my second time booking her, and I couldn’t be happier. My little Luna absolutely adores her! Clare kept me updated throughout the day with photos and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She left the house spotless and even washed the bedding so I wouldn’t have to deal with it after a long trip which is such a thoughtful touch. Thank you, Clare! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“Alysia is very kind and caring. She took wonderful care of our senior lab, Bailey. There are many details surrounding Bailey’s care and Alysia handled her feeding, supplements and daily/nightly routines thoughtfully. We hope to have Alysia stay with Bailey again.”

Susana was absolutely wonderful with Ryder! She took such loving and thoughtful care of him while we were away, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. She was attentive, caring, and truly treated Ryder like her own. We are incredibly grateful and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pet.

We had the pleasure of having Marvin take care of our dogs while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Marvin is a responsible, kind, and trustworthy young man who truly cared for our pets as if they were his own. He kept us updated, made sure they were well cared for, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs absolutely loved him! We highly recommend Marvin to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter.

Siddonie did an absolute AMAZING job taking care of our german shepherd, Luna! Our previous sitter cancelled the DAY OF our cruise while we were already boarding the ship so I was panicking, but Siddonie was able to drop everything and take care of our sweet girl. Luna is very shy and has a hard time eating her food right away, but Siddonie made her comfortable enough to get her to eat and I am so thankful. I would definitely rebook Siddonie in the future!!

Andres did an awesome job taking care of Stewie and my senior dog PJ who needs extra care. He played with Stewie and gave PJ all his medications as directed. He sent me regular pictures and updates while I was away which I appreciated so much. When I returned home, everything was clean and orderly. I will definitely be using him again. Thank you Andres!

Somyr was absolutely wonderful with Kingston. From the very beginning, she kept us informed and at ease, sending sweet updates and pictures that truly meant a lot to us. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with our love bug and treated him with so much care and attention. Knowing he was happy, comfortable, and loved made all the difference. If you're looking for a loving pet sitter. I highly recommend Somyr to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate. When she left, Kingston was looking for her. My husband had to take him out front to show him that she was gone.

Ashley was great! She sent pics each day we were gone. Followed all instructions and the boys loved her just as much! When she came to do the 'meet and greet' she brought a little sack of treats and they boys just followed her around! Her communication was great and the house looked just as it did when we left! We already have her booked for another weekend!! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Palm Beach on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 1,983 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Palm Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Palm Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Palm Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Palm Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
