“Jack was fantastic with our two bernedoodles! He was communicative, kept the house clean and overall was very very easy going. The boys were wiped from all the play time with Jack. So much so, that when we got home from a weekend trip and my husband and I looked at each other and decided we needed to learn Jack’s strategy for keeping them so calm and relaxed. We will definitely be calling again, highly recommend!!”

“Caylee is a godsend. For two trips in a row now, our flights were delayed with the possibility of cancellation, and she immediately offered to stay longer or for another day and eased our worries. She’s kind to my dog, sends lots of pictures, and is very communicative. We adore her.”

“Jessica was excellent! Her communication was superb, she followed all the instructions I gave her, but most of all she kind and loving to my dog! I would highly recommend her and we will definitely have her back again to sit! Thank you Jessica!!”

“Nicole took such good care of Olive! It was last minute and she still took time to come by and meet her, make sure she was comfortable, ask for all of the necessary information and details, and Olive took to her immediately. I received regular updates and photos and came home to a happy and well cared for pup and clean home. I can’t recommend Nicole enough! She will care for your pets like they are her own.”

“Gwendolyn was amazing with our 9 month-old golden retriever! She stayed at our place for a long weekend, kept everything so clean, and sent tons of updates and pictures which gave us so much peace of mind. We came home to a happy pup and spotless apartment—couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Malynda was great with our clan!!! She checked in a lot, sent photos and went above and beyond for our pets. I know it was a successful and great week for my pets and she sent me photos of the timid cats getting pets from her and treats!! I highly recommend her.”

“Mackenzie is an amazing dog sitter! She was super communicative, flexible, and made sure our 3 very needy dogs got all the love they require. Highly recommend!!”

“Could not have asked for a better dog sitter. It’s obvious she loves dogs and she took such good care of my Burna doodle. The house was spotless. She communicates every day with pictures of the dog. She did everything better than me probably and that’s a hard Follow.”

“Adrianna was so helpful and a lifesaver! She is clearly an animal lover and it put my mind at ease leaving my puppy for the first time. She provided lots of updates and photos, and my puppy loved her! She went above and beyond 👍”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. While I listed 15 years of experience, the reality is that I grew up with dogs and have spent years caring for my own, including senior dogs with specific routines and needs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs who need a real walk, as well as older dogs who need patience, consistency, and a slower pace. As a high school teacher and football coach, reliability, communication, and responsibility are core parts of who I am. I show up when I say I will, follow instructions carefully, and genuinely enjoy building trust with both dogs and their owners. For June and July, I’ll have flexible availability day or night and am looking forward to spending that time doing something I genuinely enjoy: getting outside, staying active, and taking great care of dogs. As a teacher and coach, I’m used to structured routines, consistency, and early mornings, and working into the evenings—so pet care fits naturally into how I already live. During June and July, I’ll have especially flexible availability, which makes it easy for me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet care throughout the day and evening. I believe good pet care starts with consistency, attentiveness, and following the owner’s routine as closely as possible. Whether that means walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, medications (if clearly instructed), or simply keeping a dog company, I aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. For boarding in our home, dogs will have access to a secure fenced yard for outdoor time, as well as an individual outdoor pen if for supervised fresh air and space to relax. We also have crates available if your dog is crate-trained or prefers that routine. Our home includes senior dogs of our own, so I’m especially mindful of temperament, comfort, and introductions, but for dogs that enjoy companionship, there may also be opportunities for calm social interaction and play. I’m also a strong communicator and will keep owners updated so they always know their pet is in good hands
“Patrick was fantastic with our three dogs! He was incredibly communicative and understanding throughout the entire stay. We really appreciated the frequent photo updates, which gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely be booking with him again in the future!”

“Kathleen was the most wonderful pet sitter ever! Not only did my 2 dogs and cat love her but so did we! She stayed at my house for 2 weeks while we were in Spain and cooked for them and even watered our plants and took care of our house. My babies were so well taken care of and loved! ❤️ I definitely will be using her every time! I recommend you do too!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and pets for most of my life and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, providing companionship, or sticking to a pet’s normal routine, I take pride in making sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pet, so I always focus on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to each animal’s individual needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes and energy levels and am happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is simple: treat every pet as if they were my own and make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and care. My schedule allows me to be available during mornings, late evenings, and overnight. I work in the afternoons and evenings, but I’m happy to work with pet owners to make sure their pets receive the care, attention, and exercise they need. Your pet’s safety and well-being are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions to ensure they receive the best possible care. I believe in clear communication and will provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands. I understand that every animal is different, and I always approach pets with patience, attentiveness, and respect for their comfort level. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or house sitting, I’ll treat your pet and home with the same care and responsibility that I would my own.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - West Palm Beach
Connor was amazing! He was professional, communicative, and took such great care of my dog, Teddy. I loved getting updates and photos while I was away—it gave me so much peace of mind. Teddy can be a little picky, but he warmed up to Connor quickly, which says a lot. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. I highly recommend Connor and will definitely book with him again!

We had the pleasure of having Marvin take care of our dogs while we were on vacation, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Marvin is a responsible, kind, and trustworthy young man who truly cared for our pets as if they were his own. He kept us updated, made sure they were well cared for, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs absolutely loved him! We highly recommend Marvin to anyone looking for a dependable and caring pet sitter.

Siddonie did an absolute AMAZING job taking care of our german shepherd, Luna! Our previous sitter cancelled the DAY OF our cruise while we were already boarding the ship so I was panicking, but Siddonie was able to drop everything and take care of our sweet girl. Luna is very shy and has a hard time eating her food right away, but Siddonie made her comfortable enough to get her to eat and I am so thankful. I would definitely rebook Siddonie in the future!!

Andres did an awesome job taking care of Stewie and my senior dog PJ who needs extra care. He played with Stewie and gave PJ all his medications as directed. He sent me regular pictures and updates while I was away which I appreciated so much. When I returned home, everything was clean and orderly. I will definitely be using him again. Thank you Andres!

Somyr was absolutely wonderful with Kingston. From the very beginning, she kept us informed and at ease, sending sweet updates and pictures that truly meant a lot to us. It was clear that she genuinely enjoyed spending time with our love bug and treated him with so much care and attention. Knowing he was happy, comfortable, and loved made all the difference. If you're looking for a loving pet sitter. I highly recommend Somyr to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate. When she left, Kingston was looking for her. My husband had to take him out front to show him that she was gone.

Ashley was great! She sent pics each day we were gone. Followed all instructions and the boys loved her just as much! When she came to do the 'meet and greet' she brought a little sack of treats and they boys just followed her around! Her communication was great and the house looked just as it did when we left! We already have her booked for another weekend!! :)

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in West Palm Beach on Rover is $64.27 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,006 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across West Palm Beach. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred West Palm Beach walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in West Palm Beach maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in West Palm Beach choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
