Pet Sitting in West Palm Beach

About: I’ve taken care of multiple rescues including my 16 year old Ryan, and my dog Sunny who does not work well around men. I know how to handle all kinds of dogs, and I love working with them too! I am currently home from college for the summer, and I have lots of time for dogs! I can stay overnight, during the day, etc. I am unable to board at my home, but I do have a car. If I am dog sitting, I will be able to take the dog out to parks, pet store, etc, as needed. But, if you aren’t comfortable with that, I can walk them around your house!

I am looking to make pet care my full time job in the future but for right now I am able to walk at various times throughout the week. Whenever I’m not working I want to be with my fury friends. I don’t have any dogs myself because of the size of my home and having 2 cats, so I would be delighted to make time to see yours. When taking care of your pup I take all safety measures possible. I ensure doors are closed, double and triple check harnesses/collars to ensure they fit properly and I’m not gonna have a runner. When I am first meeting your fur baby I crouch real low, stick out my fist (in case they get nervous, it’s best to reach out with a fist) and let them come to me. If they are on the nervous side I will throw some treats their way to entice them over to me. I don’t rush any dog to do anything they aren’t comfortable with. If that means taking 20 minutes just sitting in a room with them then that’s what it takes. If a dog is really nervous I prefer to meet them with you for the first time so we build some trust instead of being an intruder in their home. When pet sitting I ensure all doors are locked at all times, if you have a fenced in back yard I will walk around making sure fences are secure before letting them roam about. I use only 1 ingredient freeze dried treats to prevent allergies and cut out the processed ingredients and sugar from their diet. When walking multiple dogs I use a multi dog leash to prevent tangles and mishaps that can happen with multiple leashes at once. If I take your pup to a field, even a fenced in field or the beach I put them on a 30ft leash attached to me to have better control of the environment. I don’t let them say hi to other dogs on walks because I don’t always trust people to control their dogs and be truthful about how dog friendly their pup is. I will cross the street or get out of the way while they pass to keep any disagreements between the floofs at bay. I wear a fanny pack so both my hands are free (and to hold the treats of course). When boarding a pup I don’t leave human food out at any time, if it’s not in my hand then it’s tucked away. Your furry friend’s safety is of utmost importance and I will ensure they are safe and sound while I’m with them. I monitor them when playing with toys to ensure they don’t swallow something they aren’t supposed to and I remove squeakers from toys before giving it to them because it is a choking hazard. If you have any special requests I will most certainly accommodate. I know their health is vital to their happiness and I love to see a wagging tail and a big smile on their face!!

About: I will walk your dog and give him or her my 100% attention. I don’t walk your dog while talking on my cellphone which I see most dog walkers doing on the Upper East Side. Your precious baby gets my undivided attention as we’re on our walk so they don’t eat anything laying on the street that might make them sick. I also gently wipe your dog’s paws so they don’t track dirt into your apartment. I will treat and love your precious doggie as if he or she were my own. I’m available for short or long walks during the morning, early afternoon and sometimes early evening if needed.I’m also available to board your dog in my apartment overnight for one or more nights.

My partner and I will be with your dog throughout the day and they will get all the attention they need. We ensure to cater to each dog's individual needs during their stay. I'll also be sending multiple pictures every day so you can see how your loved one is doing :) I typically only host one dog at a time so that they are most comfortable. I also love cats, I’ve had the chance to babysit family and friend cats successfully. There will always be someone at home with your pet, either me or my partner. We are very active and will happily take your dog on longer walks in the middle of the day, morning or night, based on their preferences. I am very cognizant of each individual dog's personality and make sure to understand their interests and triggers when they arrive for boarding. With that, I ensure that your dog gets the appropriate exposure to other dogs and people. Needless to say, I make sure the leash and harness are properly secured before heading out on walks and are careful when approaching other dogs and people.

About: I grew up with a Portuguese water dog. During Covid, my family got a mini goldendoodle who we are obsessed with. More recently I got a mini golden doodle for myself. I love walking, brushing and training her. I am only available on weekends to walk or sit your pet (no week days). Please let me know when works best for you!
