“Not sure I can say enough great things about Jackson. What an absolute joy it was to have Jackson at the house with our dog (Ryder). The communications and pictures provide by Jackson truly put us at ease while we were on holiday. I think Jackson and Ryder are buddies for life. Look forward to reaching out to Rover to schedule Jackson again soon! Thank you.”

“I love leaving my pup with Josie! I always feel like Roo is in the best of hands and really appreciate all the updates. She really shows my pup love and it makes me feel so much better while being away!”

“I booked house-sitting services with Julissa for my two Boston terriers. One of them being a senior pup that requires medication administration and has higher needs in general… Julissa was incredible with the both of them. She kept in consistent communication with me, sent multiple photos, took them on multiple walks, reached out responsibly with specific questions to ensure she was meeting their needs appropriately, and overall showed them a lot of love. She also left my house clean and tidy. I would highly recommend Julissa for anyone needing pet care… I will definitely be using her again!”

“Valerie was great! She showed up on time, sent updates while we were gone and left the house in great condition!! So happy to have found a great dog sitter we can trust and look forward to working with her again!”

About: Don’t see that I’m available when you’d like to book? Please feel free to message me, and I’ll see if I can accommodate. Thank you for your interest! PLEASE NOTE: I WORK A FULL-TIME JOB IN AN OFFICE (based in Juno Beach) and may not be able to check on your pets as frequently as you’d like, especially during the day. I have experience caring all kinds of animals, personally and professionally for more than 10 years. Growing up and through adulthood, my family always owned Golden Retrievers. When I was young, I expressed interest in animal care and owning my own pets, ranging from small mammals, birds, and reptiles. In my teenage years, I started out pet sitting for family friends and have continued to pick up pet/house sitting gigs whenever and wherever I can. I also have experience administering medication to some of the animals I’ve cared for. Professionally, I have worked at a veterinary hospital and boarding facility for two summers. At this facility, I was responsible for the care and socialization of dogs of various sizes and demeanors. I also worked at my local humane society caring for cats and dogs with different lead styles, temperaments and bite thresholds. I was responsible for providing the dogs with three walks a day. Through this job, I also have some experience with clicker training and administering bordatella and rabies vaccines to incoming stray dogs. Looking to make extra money doing what I love! I do work full time, so my most open days for all services are Saturday and Sunday. However, I can accommodate AM drop in visits any day of the week. And I am open to pet sitting in your home any day, as long I can work it around my full time job. I provide regular photos and updates to owners to build and instill trust. I also make sure to follow care instructions as written to ensure proper care as intended. And I make sure to bring a calm and confident energy when entering and inhabiting your pet’s space. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and well-being are always my top priority!
“Lin was amazing at caring for our dog while we were away! I had to book last minute and she was able to take care of everything for us. You can really tell that she cares for dogs. She was great with communication and sending updates also. Highly recommend!”

“Ashley is a most professional and compassionate caregiver!!! My 3 pups are completely comfortable with her presence, and Ashley is the one caregiver I seek out first when I plan to travel. 5 stars, MINIMUM; more like 10👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯”

“Patrick was fantastic with our three dogs! He was incredibly communicative and understanding throughout the entire stay. We really appreciated the frequent photo updates, which gave us great peace of mind. We will definitely be booking with him again in the future!”

“Mackenzie is an amazing dog sitter! She was super communicative, flexible, and made sure our 3 very needy dogs got all the love they require. Highly recommend!!”

About: Throughout my life, we have added several different dog breeds to our family. I will care for your fur babies as they were my own. I am so lucky to have adopted puppies and cared for them until the end of their lives. I am a very caring person and will give your pets lots of attention and love. I am retired, so with that I have plenty of time to play and love your pet. I am available during the week even over night. I have plenty of room in my house for them and will be glad to walk them. I do have a patio that I can close if they want to spend time out doors.

“I was away for about one week and Ruah stayed with my babies. She took great care of them. I will definitely be a returning customer! I highly recommend her services if you are looking for someone who truly cares for your pups!”

“Michelle was a top notch pet sitter. She took amazing care of our dog and cat for a week. She was terrific with communication and she left the house sparkling clean. I highly recommend Michelle to others and would rebook her in a second.”

“Caylee was perfect for my Freaky cat. She is communicative, friendy, sent pictures and a pleasure to work with. Felt 100% comfortable staying in my home and will reach out to her for any future engagements we have. The only thing is you have to check with me first to make sure I don't need her. LOL. Also. Freaky was in good spirits when we returned and has not a hint of his usual attitude.”

About: I’ve had English Springer Spaniels my entire life, so being around dogs has always been second nature to me. Growing up with energetic, affectionate dogs taught me how important exercise, attention, patience, and play are for keeping dogs happy and healthy I currently work at a marina during weekdays but work at my own schedule. I am happy to drop everything and anything I need in order to take care of your pup. I provide attentive, reliable in-home pet care to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their own environment. I follow your pet’s normal routine closely including walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of attention while treating your home and pets with the same care and respect I would my own
About: I have previously worked as a vet tech and have been around various animals my entire life. I have worked in animal hospitals, dog daycares, and grooming shops as well. I also foster for a local rescue/pet food bank (Kibblez of Love), as well as care for my own personal animals. I am a full time pet sitter, so I have open availability and a flexible schedule to accommodate a variety of needs and special requests. I do ask that clients try to follow booking times, although I am happy to be flexible if my schedule allows! Unfortunately, my pet sitter insurance does not allow human clients in my home but I am always happy to do a video tour in lieu of hosting a meet and greet, or come to you! I have a fenced back yard and am home just about all the time, unless I have a client dog to walk. Every dog gets their own space and I understand that (just like people) they all have their own personalities! All dogs are separated to eat and if I leave the house.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Palm Beach Shores
Samantha did an amazing job taking care of little Sam. This is the first time I’ve left him in the 6 years that I’ve had him so I had so much anxiety. Samantha gave me peace of mind while I was away sending me constant videos and photos of Sam. She stayed overnight and made sure Sam felt comfortable and safe as well. I felt so much better having someone so responsible staying with my little baby. ❣️

Margaret and Amos were amazing dog sitters. They watched are two dogs for 9 days and we were so happy with the experience. Our two dogs felt right at home and comfortable with them right away, even our anxious dog who always takes a while to warm up. While we were away they sent us daily updates and pictures. The dogs had such a great time and we so loved while we were away. We will definitely use Margaret and Amos again!
Alejandra was great with our Yorkie, Cherry. She was very friendly, communicative, and made the whole process easy for us. Cherry seemed comfortable right away and everything went smoothly from drop-off to pickup. It gave us peace of mind knowing Cherry was in good hands. We would definitely trust Alejandra with Cherry again and highly recommend her.

Danielle was an amazing sitter. Our pups were very happy to have her and she went above and beyond to care for them on our Thanksgiving holiday week. She kept our house clean, picked up the dog poop in back yard. She brought our pups a cute toy and played with them. We will be certainly using her services again in the near future for our pups!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Beach Shores walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Beach Shores maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Beach Shores choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palm Beach Shores. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
