Very friendly and thorough - checked on all our cats and ensured litter was clean, and food and water were filled. Also checked on the couple feral kittens living out back. Everyone happy and taken care of while we were away.

Breanna was wonderful with our cats while we were away on vacation! She came in for daily drops ins to feed them, scoop litter, and play with them. She sent detailed updates and high quality pictures every day that we looked forward to seeing. I felt really safe leaving our cats and home in her care and would absolutely recommend her to anyone. In addition to taking great care of the cats she brought in mail/packages and took out the garbage. She also vacuumed up their litter room without me having to ask. There’s nothing better than coming home from vacation to a clean house and happy kitties. Thank you Bre!!!

I don’t think there are enough words to do justice for the amount of appreciation I have for Erin. Erin not only took this booking the day before I needed her due to a last minute cancel by another rover user, she also extended the time we needed her for due to medical emergencies. She went over and beyond for our dogs, especially considering she had to keep them separate the entire time and one of the dogs is not potty trained yet. She even washed the rags we provided her to be able to clean the puppies cage when she went to the bathroom! I think it goes without saying that Erin is an extremely reliable dog sitter, our dogs were very happy when we got home and appear to be kept for very well. She sent us a lot of photos and videos which our son looked forward to seeing everyday, and she kept us up to date on how the dogs were doing! I would highly recommend Erin as a dog sitter, you can tell she really loves animals!

Mia is an amazing pet sitter! She went above and beyond for my 3 kitties, including administering insulin and oral meds. It can be scary being away from senior pets, but she made us feel so at ease and assured that our cats were well cared for. Will definitely have Mia as our pet sitter again in the future!

About: I have always had animals and pets around me and never hesitated to take care of others pets when needed. I grew up with three labradors, a cat, and a bird. I currently have my own cat with my partner and hope to someday get a medium/large dog! I am currently working full-time remote. I can be flexible on the location I work from depending on my work load on any given day. I can be more flexible after 5pm for some activities. Usually, my Sundays are busy but occasionally I can be flexible. I cannot currently offer service in my own home. However, I will treat your home with the utmost respect to you and your pets environment as though it were my own.

About: I have been around dogs and other animals since I was an infant. My family has consistently taken care of dogs for over 30 years. I especially love training and taking dogs on enrichment activities. Pet care is a daily responsibility that requires singular attention on the animal with no multitasking. Animals need more than just food and water; they require attention and enrichment daily. Animal safety means thinking ahead and preparing. Each animal has specific needs that will allow them to thrive when met. It is important that an animal have its own space such as a crate or perch, and that they are supervised when on walks or in a new environment.

About: I have trained my pets well, I will care and make sure they get the things they need. I want to leave your best friends in the best hands. I have random school hours near my home. I am available mostly evenings and weekends and even most mornings I can check on the animals. We have a dog that could keep your animal company, we also have done up basement if your pet prefers to be alone. We have an open back yard, so we'll just keep a leash on the pet when outside.

When I forgot something, Kristi called to clarify instructions which I super appreciate!! Thanks Kristi! My cats enjoy Kristi’s visits, they can sometimes be sassy when I’m not around but Kristi has great cat intelligence, takes photos and I always return to happy yet clingy kitties.

I highly recommend Jessica as a cat sitter! Jess took excellent care of my two special needs cats, Wasabi and Mason, over the Christmas weekend. Wasabi is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice per day, and Jess administered the injections with precision and care. Mason has asthma and chronic upper respiratory infections, and they are each on a special diet. Jess made sure to follow all instructions to keep them both comfortable and well. Not only was Jessica reliable and responsible, but she also showed genuine affection for Wasabi and Mason. She took the time for them to feel comfortable with her and make sure they were happy, and she provided regular updates on their well-being while I was away. I have complete trust in Jessica and would not hesitate to use her again in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a responsible and caring cat sitter.

About: I’ve taken care of both cats and dogs of varying breeds and ages for years! I lead with love for all animals big and small! I’m currently working part time from home, so I will have plenty of time to play with and provide attention for your animals! I’m able to accommodate your specific animal’s needs and provide a solid attention to detail. I have a spacious apartment across from a beautiful and large dog park! We have one other small dog in the home if your animal likes to socialize with others, but we also have a dedicated upstairs for any crating or separation needs.

Gary was great! He visited before our trip to meet the cats and he immediately established a warm rapport with our cats. It’s true that animals sense humans who care. They liked him from the start. He was reliable and sent photos of our fur babies daily which always made me smile and feel comforted that they were being well attended to. I highly recommend Gary as a top pet sitter

Jessica is a friend you didn't know you had! She made everything smooth and easy. She cated for my cats as if they were her own. Not even the winter storm of the decade kept her away. And she even cleared a path to my house so when I got home after my trip, I wasnt snowed out. She took great pictures and amazing updates. always quick to respond, a very caring person. Hands down best sitter I've had. I couldn't thank her enough. Took away all the stress I would of had during my trip.

Kelly is awesome and very attentive to our critters. She communicated well when our one kitty had some issues with her pajamas (over grooming) and needed changing from soiling due to litter use and put her in her cone. She noticed our fish tank and the frogs had passed (from change of environment and water before we left, not her fault). She spent good social time with the kitties and was very nice to work with. I will hire her again! Thank you Kelly!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - West Mifflin

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 2,610 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across West Mifflin. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a West Mifflin stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in West Mifflin. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
