“Gary was great! He visited before our trip to meet the cats and he immediately established a warm rapport with our cats. It’s true that animals sense humans who care. They liked him from the start. He was reliable and sent photos of our fur babies daily which always made me smile and feel comforted that they were being well attended to. I highly recommend Gary as a top pet sitter”

“We just got back from a week-long road trip and honestly, the best part was not worrying about our dogs the entire time. Cailynn took care of Jasper and Gordon like they were her own. Two small dogs with two very different personalities is not always an easy ask, and she handled it effortlessly. We got regular photo updates that made the whole family smile, especially our girls, who checked for new pictures every morning. Everything was clean and in order when we got home, and both dogs were relaxed and clearly well cared for — no anxious behavior, no adjustment period, just happy pups. Communication was easy from the start, scheduling was flexible, and she followed our feeding and walk routine exactly as we left it. We'll absolutely be booking again for our next trip and recommend her to anyone in the area without hesitation.”

“Kristina did an amazing job with her drop ins with Uzi and Athena. She shared photos and kept us updated. We will definitely be working work her for future needs!”

“Markie was really great! Kept us in the loop with how the cats were doing and even went above and beyond to take care of an additional cat that wasn't in the booking! Highly recommend Markie!”

“Erin did a great job taking care of my kitty while we were on vacation! She did occasional drop in visits to play with Zelda, feed her, clean the litter box etc. for the two weeks we were gone. Everything was well taken care of, and Zelda is happy!”

“Thank you, Deanna, for taking care of our three dogs over the last couple days. Everybody was in good spirits when we got home. The dog seemed to enjoy spending time with you. We look forward to using you again when we travel.”

“I honestly dont think there are words that can describe how incredible this girl is. In 4 days she turned my INSANELY anxious cat who has never once came out for a sitter into how he acts just like he is with me, a cute crazy playful little boy. When she kept me updated on photos and videos of them two playing i was shocked! She is hands down the best on the app and i am so thankful to have found her. Love, molly courtney and cooper”

“Kaylah was a wonderful kitty sitter! We were so happy to have her. She refilled the feeders and emptied the litter box even when I told her originally she wouldn't have to. The kitties were very well cared for!”

About: My partner Jack and I love caring for pets! Both of us have been caretakers for pets practically our whole lives, including senior pets and pets with special needs, in addition to small animals like rodents and birds. Whoever you need help with, we’re more than capable. We are so excited to get to know your pets. With us, your pets will get all the attention and exercise they need during your busy day. We are both very attentive to your pets needs and do our best to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. We know just how important your companion is to you, so safety is taken into consideration at all times. We keep dogs on leashes at all times when letting them go outside. I work as a barista at a coffee shop and Jack is an employee at Pitt. Together our schedules allow us to have at least 1 person home for most of the day. On rare occasions when neither of us are home, at most we are away for 3-4 hours. We have a large yard with a lead and 2 cats. Our house is moderately sized, with room for playing and relaxing. We are attentive to feeding schedules and potty breaks.
“Disha was perfect with Kaos - he’s a shy boy but he warmed up to her immediately and she did an excellent job watching him while I was away for the weekend!”

“Melanie is an amazing sitter. She’s super easy to communicate to and took really good care of our cats. We appreciate all the timely and detailed updates. Will definitely book her again!”

“Sheena has always been so great with both our dogs! Our dog Jake has trouble getting along with some people but she took the time to come have a little meet and greet with him before we left for our trip and he absolutely loved her! She is extremely reliable and gives regular updates. Absolutely recommend!”
About: I have been caring for all different animals since I was a young girl. I am comfortable with all sizes and breeds and happy to take on special needs cases as well. I am very flexible and reliable when it comes to caring for your babies. As long as I am free I’m open to last minute drop ins as I know life happens and sometimes we all need a little help. My dogs are like my babies. They live a better life than I do. When I’m in your home your babies will be treated like mine while respecting all rules in the house (whether they’re set you or your dogs) I am very comfortable reading dogs social cues and am willing to meet them at their pace and comfort levels.
“This was our first time using Rover and we were very pleased with Melissa. We have 2 large 100 lb. Dogs and they seemed quite happy. We will definitely book with Melissa again.”

About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs! I have experience feeding, playing, bathing, walking, and even training young dogs with simple things. I was able to gain experience taking care of dogs because I have a dog of my own who is now a senior. I’m also a dog walker at my local animal shelter which allows me to interact with dogs of all ages and different behaviors. Aside from dogs, I also have experience feeding and playing with cats. I have two cats who are friendly, love cuddles, neck scratches, and are amazing with my dog! I’m a college student who commutes to school. I have more flexibility during breaks but throughout the school year weekends are what would work best. I have experience with both cats and dogs. This has allowed me to work with animals that have different behaviors. I believe that animals require patience and love just like any other being. If needed, your pet will be in good hands in my home since my cats and dog get along very well.

About: As a dog sitter, what sets me apart from others is my genuine love and passion for animals. I understand that each dog is unique and has their own individual needs and preferences. I take the time to get to know each dog and provide personalized care and attention. Additionally, I prioritize open communication with pet owners, ensuring that they are updated and involved in their dog's care. Overall, my dedication, expertise, and personalized approach make me stand out as a dog sitter. Pet care fits perfect into my daily routine as I genuinely enjoy being around animals and ensuring their well being. Whether it’s walking dogs, feeding, or simply providing companionship, I’m committed to giving pets the attention and care they need. Since I can dedicate my time to it full time, I’m flexible with scheduling and able to provide consistent, reliable care for pets, allowing owners to feel confident knowing their pets are in good hands. I have an unfenced yard and currently use a dog tie-out cable to safely secure my 1-year-old Yorkie/Pomeranian. For the comfort and safety of all pets, I primarily work with small dogs and puppies, as larger dogs may not have the same level of freedom and movement in this setup. When caring for a dog at the owner's home, I maintain their routine, including feeding, walks, and playtime, while ensuring a clean and safe environment. I’ll also stay in regular communication with the owner, sending updates and photos to keep them reassured while they’re away.
About: I truly have unlimited patience for all pets and especially dogs. I love interacting with them and truly making them feel special and appreciated. Getting some daily exercise is crucial not only for their physical health but also equally as important, their mental health! I currently have my own small business that has allowed me a lot of downtime during the late morning and into the early afternoon on weekdays. I would love to fill this free time by taking care of your beloved pets! Dogs will be fully leashed before leaving the home for their walk. Doors will be double checked before leaving/entering to check for pets nearby. Your property will be treated as if it were my own during my visit.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Dravosburg
Kelly is awesome and very attentive to our critters. She communicated well when our one kitty had some issues with her pajamas (over grooming) and needed changing from soiling due to litter use and put her in her cone. She noticed our fish tank and the frogs had passed (from change of environment and water before we left, not her fault). She spent good social time with the kitties and was very nice to work with. I will hire her again! Thank you Kelly!

Connie did a wonderful job taking care of my kitties while I was away! She sent me updates everyday with pictures and my kitties looked so happy. I really appreciate all of her help. I recommend Connie to anyone who needs a caring and thoughtful sitter to their fur babies.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
