“Cailynn kept us so informed after her visits with Simon! I’ve only had him for a year and Simon is my first cat ever so I was nervous about leaving him. The updates and pictures gave me peace of mind that he was comfortable and taken care of. I will definitely be asking Cailynn to help me again!”

“Thank you for visiting with our kitties they were well cared for and so cool Nina popped out to visit. They hide . They are so happy when we came home. We will let you know when we are going to travel again.”

About: I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs! I have experience feeding, playing, bathing, walking, and even training young dogs with simple things. I was able to gain experience taking care of dogs because I have a dog of my own who is now a senior. I’m also a dog walker at my local animal shelter which allows me to interact with dogs of all ages and different behaviors. Aside from dogs, I also have experience feeding and playing with cats. I have two cats who are friendly, love cuddles, neck scratches, and are amazing with my dog! I’m a college student who commutes to school. I have more flexibility during breaks but throughout the school year weekends are what would work best. I have experience with both cats and dogs. This has allowed me to work with animals that have different behaviors. I believe that animals require patience and love just like any other being. If needed, your pet will be in good hands in my home since my cats and dog get along very well.

“Divya is a really passionate sitter who genuinely cares about animals. She worked hard to earn our cat’s trust and they ended up bonding. The amazing photos and summaries she provides gives us peace of mind when we are away. Highly recommend Divya!”

“Erin did a great job taking care of my kitty while we were on vacation! She did occasional drop in visits to play with Zelda, feed her, clean the litter box etc. for the two weeks we were gone. Everything was well taken care of, and Zelda is happy!”

“I honestly dont think there are words that can describe how incredible this girl is. In 4 days she turned my INSANELY anxious cat who has never once came out for a sitter into how he acts just like he is with me, a cute crazy playful little boy. When she kept me updated on photos and videos of them two playing i was shocked! She is hands down the best on the app and i am so thankful to have found her. Love, molly courtney and cooper”

About: There hasn’t been a time where there wasn’t a cat or dog running around my house! All of my animals have lived past the age of 15, so they are well taken care of. I love all animals and really would save them all if I could. My Rover promise to you is to treat your pets like I treat my own with nothing but love, kindness, and definitely some treats ;)! I set my own schedule by working with special needs adults, so I can usually be flexible if given at least a few hours notice. I have a senior dog that is 15 years old and her name is Reese. I also have a very hyper 4 year old Great Pyrenees/Anolian shepherd who absolutely loves everyone! I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and also dogs with disabilities. I have been in the medical field for over 20 years, so it feels like Christmas morning every day when I get back to my fur babies. I’m at a point in my life where my daughter is an adult, so I have finally have extra time again. I would treat your pet like I treat my own babies!
“Tony looked after our dog Rocco while we were on our honeymoon and I couldn’t be happier!! We got wonderful photos from each visit and SUCH a cute summation of what they got up to together, we came home to a very happy dog. Thank you so much Tony!!”
“Abby, was so great with our Sailor. She has a friendly, confident and warm way with dogs! Sailor loved her right away when they met. I could tell how excellent her caregiving was as he did all his routines great with her-- a walk, bedtime routine, ate his meals, was calm and great when we got home. He is used to us being around and I hadn't left him for an overnight for some years, so it is all the more impressive that he adjusted so quickly to Abby. Also, we loved getting the detailed updates and pictures! We are so happy we were able to have Abby help us for these couple of days and know Sailor will want to have her back! Thanks for taking care with all our little notes about things, Abby! Hope we can have you back soon!”

About: I’ve been volunteering at animal shelters since 2024 with the job to socialize dogs and cats who are waiting to be adopted. I’ve completed level one of a dog training program which included kennel safety procedures, canine body language, and enrichment practices. I currently work full time with a hybrid schedule, so I’ve got lots of availability for your weekend pet adventures! If you live near Squirrel Hill and need care during the week - just ask! I know that all animals have their own personalities and require personalized support based on their interests and boundaries. I intentionally observe pets to see the level of affection they are looking for and of course if they have any favorite ways to play!
“Andrew was great! He was on time, had great communication, and went above and beyond. He took great care of my dog Shadow and I will certainly hire him in the future. If you’re looking for someone dependable and great with dogs, look no further!”

“While our family was away Sarah took excellent care of our dogs. It was a comfort knowing that our dogs were in good hands. Thank you for taking such good care of them.”

“Justin was great to work with overall. I used him to take my dog out while I was at work and he texted me updates during the visit and took pictures as well. He also documented a summary of the visit and left my place exactly as I found it. I would highly recommend him and use him again if I need him.”

Clareese was absolutely amazing with my two boys! One of them likes to get into trouble and when I saw that they had knocked over the trash can she even went over a day early to clean it up! I’m so happy that my boys had someone so loving taking care of them!

Maya had the patience of a saint with our cat, Linus. It’s the first time he had ever been left alone and he was not a happy camper. Maya tried everything she could to get him to relax and be happy. In the end, he settled down a bit, and was healthy and happy when we got home to him. Which is the most important thing. We appreciated the photos and information about what was going on back home!

Vanessa took amazing care of our two cats while we were away, the daily photos showed happy playful kitties who were getting all the attention they craved! Clear communication and prompt arrival times the entire trip, I never had to worry and could fully enjoy our trip. Definitely would rebook with Vanessa.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
