About: I bring a teacher’s touch to caring for your pup! As a former elementary school teacher, I’ve got loads of experience in behavior management, patience, and creative problem-solving. Whether it’s helping a shy pet feel safe or channeling a high-energy pup’s zoomies into a fun game, I know how to keep things running smoothly (and joyfully!). I’m also a bit of a pet-training enthusiast. I’ve even taught my cats to use pet doors and hang out with me unleashed while I garden—basically, I’ve turned them into honorary dogs! They’re super social and cuddly because I believe every animal deserves love, enrichment, and positive interactions. I absolutely LOVE dogs, but we're currently at our max pet capacity. So, I pour my animal affection into my kitties and helping others by volunteering at the DuPage animal shelter, where I get to meet all kinds of amazing furry friends. I've also recently taken on raising and releasing monarchs in an effort to restore the dwindling population. Our garden is a designated Monarch Way Station. I've tagged and released hundreds of monarch butterflies over the last 3 summers. In short, I combine my teaching skills, training know-how, and pure love for animals to give pets—and their people—a fun, safe, and worry-free experience! I am an adjunct instructor. My classes don't reume until September 22nd, so right now, I am available every day. After that, I only will only teach two classes, so I'll have quite a flexible schedule to sit for animals with availability every afternoon and 3 full days a week. I am highly skilled at reading animal body language. The most important thing in keeping animals safe and calm is to determine how they're feeling in order to provide what they need--whether it's space, food, play or something more serious like medical attention. I make sure every animal has a corner of his/her own to take time needed privacy or R&R. I make sure animals in my care have plenty of opportunities to play, are stimulated, cuddled (if that's what they like), fed a healthy diet and feel like a part of the family.

About: I have lived with dogs my whole life and have a love for every breed. Growing up, my family had a Border Collie, two Lab/Cattle Dog mixes, and a Beagle/Jack Russell mix, all whom I miss dearly. In my profile photo is my dog Tilly, a German Shepherd and my best friend. She’s high-energy, cuddly, and LOVES to eat cheese. I have also fostered dogs and puppies, and have cat-sat for my neighbors since I was a kid. I’ve experienced the heart-wrenching loss of the passing of my family dogs over the years, but I’ve also enjoyed the joys of getting a puppy. Thus, I know how to train puppies, help break them of bad habits such as (e.g., chewing on furniture, potty training), and I’ve learned tricks for medicating stubborn senior dogs who won’t take their pills. As for myself, I am a second-year Clinical Psychology doctoral student seeking some financial stability. I would love the opportunity to walk and care for your pet, whom I know I will love. As a doctoral student, I have some time between my classes, or before and after classes. My evenings are usually open the most. My weekends are tend to be open and can be flexible, with an exception of a few various dates (e.g., weddings, vacations, etc). At this time, I am not available to have pets stay at my home. However, for regular clients and dogs with whom I am familiar (and vice versa), I am open to the possibility. I assure you that I will prioritize the safety of your pets and property while caring for them. I am an open communicator, honest, and respectful, and my primary goal is to enjoy quality time with your pet.

“Vivian has been our dog walker for the past couple months and has been getting along well with our dog Maxx. She communicates well and responds promptly. Maxx seems to really enjoy his walks with her by the cute pictures we get from the walk. My dog Maxx can easily be scared and doesn't always like to stay out long, but Maxx seems very comfortable with Vivian since he walks around a lot and stays out long. You can tell she works well with dogs especially with her experience taking care of her own dogs. I love the rover cards we get and will definitely use Vivian again in the future. About: Hi! I’ve been helping take care of dogs my entire life. I raised my own dogs since they were puppies all the way up until they went over the rainbow bridge at the ages at 15. I am a freshwater aquarium keeper and have experience maintaining 40+gallon tanks with live plants. I would be happy to take care of, feed, and even clean your fish tanks. I currently work remotely Monday-Friday from 9-5PM. I am available before or after, on weekends, or even throughout the days on my lunch breaks. I am flexible throughout the day. About: I have been a Veterinary Technician for 5+ years, before becoming a Vet Tech I volunteered at shelters and did home care for 4 years. I am a certificate Dog trainer. I can administer medications, oral and injectable, give fluids, trim nails and clean wounds. I can bath your dog and brush them. These are only a few of my many skills. I'm very athletic , there for I can go for long walks and run with them. My passion has always been working with animals and giving the best care I can.
