About: Hello there! If you’re new to Rover and this would be your first booking, then you can save $20 by entering the promo code: BENC05789 We hope our 5-star reviews speak for themselves- we love animals! We’ve enjoyed meeting new families in the area and helping them care for their fur babies while they’re away 🐶🐱 We only take ONE family’s pets at a time, and we don’t have any pets of our own, so you don’t have to worry about safety or peace of mind for your furry friends. We would love to host your dog or cat at our place- we welcome all animals here! We have a big fenced-in backyard, and always have a stash of toys and treats on hand. We want your pet to feel like they are on their own little vacation, too 😅 ***If you happen to live in downtown Wendell, and you’d rather keep your dog at your own house while you’re away, ask about us doing home check-ins, even if our calendar says we’re booked! *** We have been doing Rover since 2021 as a side-hustle while Julie was in school studying ultrasound, which allowed her more time to be at home. She graduated in May of this year, and now has a part time job of her own. So for our current schedule, there will be one day during the week where she will be home all day, and one half day during the week for me. In addition, we will both be home on weekends. If your dog requires a lot of attention during the day, and is used to someone being home at all times, we understand if you decide to look elsewhere! We absolutely love animals, and our house feels pretty empty without our Rover pals 🙂 We plan on doing Rover throughout the summer + beginning of fall 2025, and then will probably phase it out for any newcomers. We can’t wait to meet your pup if you do decide to book with us! We will care for your pet’s every need! We like to take them on walks twice a day (we need the exercise, too!😅). We also are perfectly comfortable administering medications, if needed. We will give them plenty of cuddles, playtime, and love ☺️

About: I’ve had animals my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I’ve primarily cared for small and medium-sized dogs, but I’ve also had experience with larger dogs, including my roommate's two who were very cautious and selective about who they trusted. Somehow, they quickly decided I was one of their people! My family and friends also regularly trust me with their furry family members and often come to me for advice. I currently have a cat of my own who requires medication and has some behavioral quirks, so I’m comfortable with the extra patience, consistency, and attention that pets with special needs may require. I’ve always been the person animals seem to gravitate toward wherever I go. My mom has jokingly called me the “cat whisperer” for years, especially! I truly love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, loved, and well cared for while their humans are away. I am self-employed and make my own schedule - I am very flexible so I am able to work from virtually anywhere and at any time, so fitting in any set care is very easy! I always want to make sure I earn the trust, respect, and love of the pets by being gentle, caring, and loving and showing them they can trust me. This often looks like some extra cuddles, a treat, some play time during quick drop-ins etc! There's nothing better than earning a fur baby's trust :)

Abigail was a lifesaver and such a wonderful drop-in sitter for Apollo. Our regular sitter called to inform us that she was ill and Abigail stepped in at the 11th hour to help provide us with a worry-free vacation. I appreciated the fact that she provided photos, took Apollo on walks, and sent regular updates. They also went above and beyond to ensure Apollo had as safe of an environment as possible. We hope that when we need someone to look after Apollo in the future that Abigail will be available. Highly Recommended 5-star service.

About: I bring 12 years of cat experience to the table, which means I understand everything from litter box politics to the fine art of being ignored. I’m comfortable caring for cats of all personalities, shy, spicy, clingy, or aloof, and I know how to keep their routine calm and predictable. I also have 5 years of experience helping with dogs, including walks, feeding, playtime, and basic care. Cats may be my specialty, but I’m happy to care for dogs and make sure they’re safe, exercised, and well looked after. What sets me apart from other sitters is my patience and attention to detail. I respect boundaries, follow instructions closely, and focus on making pets feel secure in their own space. I take pet care seriously, while still enjoying every minute of it. During weekdays, I’m available from 3:30 PM to 3:30 AM, allowing for evening and overnight care. On weekends and holidays, I’m available all day, offering flexible and reliable pet care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow care instructions closely, maintain a calm environment, respect routines, and provide attentive, reliable care in your home or mine.

About: I’ve taken care of puppies, older dogs, and cats for 4 years now. I love and care for each animal as if they are my own because I know how important a pet is to their family. I also respect all the rules given by their owners and make sure I’m following exact instructions. I also volunteered on a farm for a while as a young child and grew up taking care of my family’s chickens so animal care is something that has always been a part of my life. I am just graduated from school and getting my priorities straight so I have a very flexible schedule. When I’m working other jobs, they’re in the evenings and in my control as for scheduling and time so if there are specific needs for your pets around certain times, I can accommodate. I pet sit and homes and follow all rules that are given for me. I treat your space and your pets space with full respect and make sure I take care of it even better than my own space.

Ladies and gentleman, when I say that this you g lady is dependable, I mean “can you please drop everything because my baby hasn’t eaten in 5 hours” type of panic. She drop across town to stepped up to the plate which calmed my soul. Us pet parents are extra sensitive when we are out of town, she never complained or said no. Sweet and dependable and TRUSTWORTHY!!! Emphasis on TRUSTWORTHY! If you are looking for peace of mind, Jasmine is the right and only choice! I will be seeking her services again.

We couldn't be happier with the care our Sophia provided for our three dogs during our vacation! We have one energetic puppy and two senior dogs, all with very different needs, and they were all cared for with so much patience, love and compassion She kept us updated throughout our trip with messages and photos, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was obvious our dogs were comfortable, well cared for, and getting lots of affection while we were away. Coming home to three happy, relaxed pups meant everything to us. I highly recommend Sophia to anyone looking for someone dependable, caring, and attentive. We will definitely be booking with ther again!

So great with Ava, my pup. I was away out of town for several days, and I could tell that my dog was loved on really well because she did not act anxious when I arrived in the door or need for attention. I could tell she had gotten lots of rubs and cuddles. Just what you want for your pup when you’re away.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Wendell stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wendell. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
