“Genevieve was so good to my little pup Bentley!!! She would send updated pictures everyday with him enjoying himself with her other dogs. I felt at ease leaving my puppy with her! Definitely booking with her again!!!!”

“Our dogs loved staying with Priscilla and her loving family. They’ve stayed twice and upon return, when they realized where they were going, they were immediately relaxed and comfortable for me to leave them. So relieving to know your pups are happy and safe. Thank you, Priscilla!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets of all kinds since I was very young. Growing up in a family that always had a dog around, and taking care of family and neighbors pets while they were on vacation has given me a lot of experience. As an adult, I’ve always had pets of my own. I currently work full time as a teacher, and I will take dogs for a walk in the morning before leaving to work. I am usually home at 3:15 pm, easily providing them another break as soon as I get home. During the summer and on holidays, I am home all day. I live in a townhouse without a fenced yard, but I provide walks to the animals I am carrying for every 2-3 hours. I can also accommodate small pets that are used to using a wee wee pad. I have plenty of room inside for pets to play.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Deysi cared for my puppy in her home for 4 days and 3 nights, and I had complete peace of mind the entire time. She treated him like family, kept me updated with photos and videos, and made sure he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. He came home relaxed, healthy, and clearly loved. I would absolutely trust her with my puppy again and highly recommend Deysi to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pet!”

“Taina and her daughter were amazing with Mia. Even on drop off I felt I could trust them with her right away. I received regular updates and Mia got along well with her dogs. I would definitely recommend her and choose to book with her again!”

“Ranya took such good care of our little one. She treated her like her own. She provided great communication and peace of mind. We will be using Ranya whenever we need care for our fur baby.”

“Tamara was just wonderful. So warm and loving! She kept me posted with photos and messages making me feel so comfortable. My doggie seemed so happy and relaxed recommended her wholeheartedly!”

“Jennafer was amazing! She handled Atlas (110lbs italian mastiff) wonderfully! She took pics and sent me updates every day and was extremely responsive with texting! She was a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day! 13/10 would recommend!”

About: I started my pet sitting career in Boston in 1993, little did I know it would grow to over 150 dogs a day and over 15 employees. Those Boston days are well behind me, I hold them dear as I am still in contact with my very first client (reference available). As I got older, married, moved to Nantucket MA and then Telluride CO. while raising 3 children, my home was always filled with dogs, I found that good people who needed good pet care always managed to somehow find me. My vast experience allows me to truly enjoy the company of these fantastic creatures that bring us such joy. It my goal, to be sure that an owner that has endeared their pet into my care can enjoy their time away knowing that their dog is safe and happy. My strengths that set me apart as a dog companion are my abilities to be aware of the emotional and physiological aspects of dog behavior. I really watch to see if a dog is happy or unhappy. If a dog feels safe or threatened. It is important that a dog's needs are met on these basic aspects. I have bred dogs, worked with dog breeders and worked in animal hospitals in both Nantucket and Telluride. I have an extensive list of references upon request. Retired and an early riser, my sweet, calm, 5 yr old Lab and I are out the back door for a quick bathroom break, I do not have a fenced in yard but I do have a 4 acre back enclosed courtyard that is quiet, green and well maintained. Then it's breakfast time, I usually give the digestive process an hour or so before it's time for a good hour of play and or a 3 mile walk, especially before it get's to hot. Bathroom breaks are through out the day until dinner at 5, then another good walk as it gets cooler and weather permitting. There is a final bathroom break before bed. I will always gage the activity to my clients needs whether older or younger. I do ride my horse a few times a week, when I do leave it is my priority that the dogs are tired and have plenty of water. My home is set up for pets and people. Dogs are welcome to lounge on all furniture and beds. I have plenty of space for dog beds and if a dog prefers a crate, I am able to accommodate that as well. It is important to talk about various aspects of your dog's behavior and needs. For example, It is very natural for a dog to need space and privacy while eating and some even need quiet time with no other dogs around. Some female dogs enjoy being the boss and need to "safely" work out the hierarchy within the home. While everyone loves 'Treat time", for some dogs it creates a competitive environment. If that is a possibility treats are for another time! It is an important discussion to have to ensure all dogs and humans stay safe and have fun.
“I can't recommend Sheree enough! My dog felt completely at ease in her care, and it was wonderful to see how well she got along with her furbaby. I give her a perfect 10/10 and will definitely be returning!”

“We had such a great experience with Koda’s stay! Angeles cared for him in her home for a few days, and I truly appreciated the level of attention and communication she provided. Her communication was truly top tier: responsive, thoughtful, and consistent from start to finish. I loved receiving daily pictures along with updates, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was safe, happy, and being well looked after. Koda seemed comfortable and well cared for when I picked him up, which says everything. I would absolutely trust her to watch him again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter.”

“My dog stayed with Caitlin in her home for almost 10 days and she did a wonderful job. I have a young Australian Shepherd who needs a lot of exercise and stimulation and he loved his stay at Camp Caitlin! She was very thorough in understanding his needs and routines in order to keep him safe and happy during his stay and keep the transition as low-stress as possible. We also did a meet and greet ahead of booking so I could see where my pup would be staying which was very comforting. She sent pictures and communicated with me everyday and truly treated my dog as her own. 10/10 would book with her again, for long stays, daycare, walks and everything in between. As a very attached dog -mom, I would always recommend!!”

“Mary Ann was awesome - so super nice. Sent me pictures everyday. Ollie was happy and comfortable with her and her family! Would definitely leave him with her again!”

“Catherine was absolutely wonderful. She kept us informed with pictures and notes. She understood we were nervous about leaving our pet behind and made sure she kept us informed on how well he was doing. I swear the pics she sent he seemed to be smiling in. Thank you Catherine and you are now Auntie Catherine and Kylo will be back!!!!!”

“Rose is always our go-to person to watch our Moose! We know he’s in the best hands and is always loved on by Rose! We appreciate all the updates and photos along the way :)”

“Meaghan was amazing once again! She is very reliable and was more than willing to welcome our dog last minute, which we truly appreciated. Her entire family embraced our dog as their own, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing our dog felt at home and was so well cared for. Thank you again so much, Meaghan! :)”

Laritza, was so welcoming and her Louie is such a sweetheart. We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with her from the moment we met. Laritza, took care of, Teddy like he was her own.She sent tons of pics and videos and always gave updates on how he was doing. We will definitely be using her again. 10/10

Alison and Michael are AWESOME! I received pictures every day, and it was very obvious that Leeloo was having the time of her life. I did have to alter my request for Leeloo to add several more days, right before she was to begin her stay, and Alison and Michael were very accommodating. They will be my go-to whenever I have to travel.

Sucel took such wonderful care of our Goose while we were away. She treated him like her own, and we came home to a happy, well-loved pup. We are so grateful for her kindness and care and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their pet. Thank you, Sucel! ❤️

As always, Franklin takes wonderful care of our Joey and treats him as a member of his family while we are away. He sends frequent photos and videos so that we know Joey is having fun and is not stressed. Joey is taken on walks including off-lease dog park time and also sleeps on Franklin's bed, allowing time for lots of snuggles. Joey definitely has a home away from home when he stays with Franklin and we appreciate it so very much!

Highly recommend Renee! I was nervous about leaving my pup for a few days, but she was incredibly attentive and kept me updated with constant videos and pictures. She even took him out for exercise and watched a movie with him. I went on a trip, and honestly, I think my dog had a better time than I did 😂. I'll definitely be booking with her again!

Isabella was a pleasure to work with! She sent me pictures and videos updates daily while my Doberman boarded with her. She handles the medication / care instructions really well, she’s a great communicator and very responsive. I would highly recommend booking with Isabella and I certainly entrust her with the care of my dogs moving forward!

Carolina took exceptional care of my two dogs! My fur babies are very different, with one being a puppy and the other of advanced years. She stayed in contact with exploring what the dogs like and sent pictures a couple of times per day! She addressed the issue of one not eating and even cooked her meals she liked! Her home is lovely and accommodates all types of 4 legged fur babies!!! I know my dogs enjoyed theirs visit and I know they look forward to spending time with her again!!!

Bri was wonderful boarding our 2 month old kitten, Milo, in her home. She sent pictures, videos and updates several times a day. Leaving him was so hard because we had never been away from him since we found him at 8 days old in a box by a dumpster. She followed all of our instructions and alleviated our concerns about leaving him. Milo warmed up to his new environment and enjoyed playing with her kitties and doggies. I would definitely use Bri again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
