“This was our first time using Steve and Alyson for our rambunctious Doodle, Duncan, and we were very pleased! We know our Duncan can be a handful, but we were told he fit right in with their other 2 amazing Goldens. Duncan now has a new Aunt and Uncle. BTW, we also received pictures which clearly showed Duncan being very happy and content! I guess he was on vacation too! Many Thanks!!!”

About: Firefighter/paramedic and dog/cat lover. Have had multiple dogs, cats as a child and always a dog and/or cat as an adult. Dependable, trusted and active with your fur baby. Keeping dogs and cats happy, healthy and active. I work as a private personal trainer full time. But I have breaks thru out the day and afternoon I'm home for a few hours. Afternoon play with them etc. Will take videos/pics and send to client. I do train later in evening. Once home and cooler I normally will take them for a longer walk. This is all dependent on what the owner wants and age/mobility of the animal. Cats make sure are fed, water, clean cat box and played with. Walks are on leash. I will stop or cross to other side if other dogs coming so no potential incidents.

About: I have several years of hands on experience caring for both dogs and cats through personal pet care and rescue work. I volunteer with Big Dog Ranch Rescue, and grew up in a foster-based rescue home, helping care for animals of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, walks, litter box care, administering basic care, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience with high-energy pets, as well as more anxious or shy pets, and I always prioritize a calm, reliable environment. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets consistent attention and care throughout the day. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting on both weekdays and weekends, and I can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening routines. I prioritize keeping your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible, including feeding times, medication, and exercise, so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I always prioritize creating a safe, calm, and stress-free environment for every pet. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and any special needs so I can provide consistent, attentive care. I’m experienced with administering medication, monitoring for changes in behavior or health, and handling shy or anxious pets with patience. In your home, I respect your space and follow all instructions carefully to maintain your pet’s normal routine. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was a little girl and I currently have a golden retriever who I’d do anything for! It is so important to me that I keep your animals safe and happy as if they were my own. I am on summer break from university so I will be home full time to care for your pets and give them the attention they deserve! About: I’ve been around animals my whole life. I grew up on a farm, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’ve raised and puppy-trained dogs, have experience with exotic animals, and understand that every pet is different. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility for pet care. I’m free all day Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. On Tuesdays and Fridays, I only work a short evening shift, and on weekends I work until about 4:30pm. That leaves me with lots of time to make sure your pet gets the attention, walks, and care they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. My apartment community has a fenced dog park for safe outdoor play, along with plenty of sidewalks and green spaces for walks. While my apartment is on the smaller side, your pet will have lots of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and one on attention during their stay.
About: I’ve wanted to be a veterinarian since I was 4 so it only makes sense that I turn my passion into my purpose. Your pet is sure to be treated as if it were my own! :) I’m currently a full time university student and I work a part-time job but i’m willing to work around your schedule! My availability is between 9m-9pm In my home my dog is free to roam as long as he’s used the bathroom outside already. When I need to leave the house I let him roam free in my room with the baby gate shut and the door open.

Our 3 year old Chocolate Lab Kirby had a great time with Patrick and his family. We had a great time on our trip knowing he was getting plenty of attention, dog walking and play with other dogs. We also enjoyed the pictures and videos that Patrick sent showing us how Kirby was doing. Lucky us for finding such a wonderful place for Kirby for when we go away (often!).

Jerikah was great!!! She sent me daily updates with pictures of Theo and he looked so happy. She informed me of all that was happening throughout Theo's stay. I would definitely recommend her if you are looking for great care of your furry pet!!! I have already booked another stay. Thank you again, Jerikah!!! :)
We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! From the moment we met her, we felt completely at ease leaving our three dogs in her care. She was reliable, caring, and treated them like they were her own. We received updates that gave us peace of mind while we were away, and it was clear our pups were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. Coming home to three relaxed and happy dogs says everything about the incredible job she did. We truly felt our dogs were safe and in the best hands possible. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. 10/10—we’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Shalie was able to take care of my fur baby at the last moment due to a family emergency. I loved the frequent updates, pictures and videos throughout the day. It really gave me peace of mind. Shalie was very responsive and most importantly took such great care of my Daisy, that it was honestly such a relief! Will definitely use her again, especially since she now has a relationship with my dog. I recommend her services because she is honest.

Casey took care of my baby Grizzly and she was so nice, you can see she really cares since she is a cat mom herself. She accepted to do drop in visits before our trip so Grizzly could meet her and be more confortable. My cat is super shy but she was very patient with him!

Vicky is the best dog sitter you could ever find. She is trusting, warm, friendly, experienced and she truly cares about animals. I have a very difficult dog who I rescued, and he doesn 't love strangers. Vicky was very patient and loving, and was able to send me pictures of her picking him up. I haven't met anyone else who could do that to my dog, I can't speak higher of Vicky and her home. So grateful I found her for my little boy.

A great couple who love dogs, I felt completely comfortable leaving our Izzie there. Plus, there is such a dog friendly yard. Izzie loved the doggy door so she could come in and out., which helped with the heat. Jim sent updates that supported my sense of ease that Izzie was in good hands. I would definitely recommend.

Richard, Sam and Benji were fantastic — it was like Sep went to summer camp and didn’t want to come home. Their house and yard were perfect. Benji was an active playmate for Sep. They sent lots of pics and kept me informed regularly. They are such great dog people. I was completely comfortable leaving Sep.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
