“Gail was so kind in being able to watch Nala last minute for a few hours. Felt very comfortable leaving Nala with her! She was very responsive and took good care of our pup.”

About: I have 2 years of experience as a dog walker and pet sitter in New York City, caring for dog of various breeds, I am experienced with daily walks, feeding routine, potty break, and providing calm, reliable care. I am also a former cat owner and I have care d for parrots. Since I was young, I have also cared for small animals such as birds, rabbits, hamsters, and turtles. This early experience helped me become comfortable and confident around animals and taught me responsibility and gentle handling from an early age. I genuinely love animals and always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being while they are in my care. I currently work remotely, which allows me to provide flexible care throughout day and night. I am available for boarding, day care in a safe and calm environment. Clients are responsible for drop off and pick up at my home ;) I live in a safe HOA managed neighborhood with a quiet and clean home environment. I have a small fenced backyard and no children, creating a calm and secure space for pet.
“Super job:) Casper didn’t want to come home:( growled at me when I picked him up. He has a special disposition when it comes to his care. Thanks for making me work harder on his care.”

“I would recommend Felicia with my dog again. This was the first time leaving him with a sitter and he did great. Felicia is great with sending pictures and letting me know how he was doing.”

“Mary Ann was absolutely wonderful with my baby Cashew... 3 month old Pomapoo. This was his first "puppy sitter" experience. She sent photos and text updates throughout the day and night when I was away. I am so glad I found her and will be using her again!”

“Cristina and her family are such a lovely and caring family! While we traveled to West Palm Beach, they took wonderful care of Toby, prepared a comfortable bed for him, and even covered the sofa with a blanket because they knew he loves sleeping there. They also sent us pictures and videos throughout the day, which gave us peace of mind knowing Toby was happy and well cared for. We truly appreciate their kindness and would highly recommend them!”

About: I am a dog owner for the last 7 years (female rescue, 50lbs, lab/retriever.) Before her, I had cats my whole life. My pup is a part of my family and I would treat yours with the same care and compassion. I work from home, live in a duplex and I have a backyard that is mostly fenced (your dog would stay on a leash back there), and I live right next to Dreher Park where we could go for walks 1-2 times/day. Let's do a meet and greet! I work full time from home, and have lots of flexibility for walks and pets. In the evening, we take walks in Dreher Park right next door. Life is quiet around here. No smoking. I'll be here with them all day and can take them to the backyard or for walks in the park. I have a 50lb rescue that has been described by boarders as an alpha female, so she may get barky at first but it ends there.
“He took great care of my dog! My pup came home happy, healthy, and even smelling fresh. I really appreciated the updates and the care he provided. Would definitely book again”

“Odalys and Manuel were amazing with my Lily. This was the first time I've boarded my dog and I'm so happy I did it with them. Right before boarding my Lily had an allergic reaction and had a bit of extra instructions with her medications. But they did an amazing job. They constantly sent me updates throughout the day and really treated my dog like she was family.”

“Thank you very much for the wonderful care you recently gave Oreo. She seemed so happy in your home, not caring when I left him with you! That was a big comfort for me! I will definitely request your service the next time I travel! Thank you again!”

“So thankful that our first experience with rover was with Marcie! Great communication during booking and during our dogs stay. Pictures and text updates to let us know how she was doing and loved knowing our pup was being loved while we were away. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Geri boarded my 2 pug's and they had an amazing time. They were happy to see me but were glued to her side; which showed me how attached they had become. That brings this pug momma pure joy.”

“Nana was wonderful! I just got out of the hospital and had to continue to add days. She worked with me along the way and was super kind and supportive with me and my family as we were worried about when I would be able to get out to pick up bailey. She was even kind enough to leave a amazing discount out of sheer compassion! I will always be grateful to Nana for her amazing services during my most difficult time. Thank you Nana!????”

“McKenzie took wonderful care of our dog, Mesa. She was very communicative, clear, and absolutely delightful to work with. Most importantly, she was so friendly and kind with Mesa, which gave us real peace of mind. I look forward to booking with her again!”

About: Im a Mother of 4 and all my babies are grown. I'm retired and I enjoy the company. If you want a safe happy home for your pet I'm here for you both. I'm retired I leave for church and groceries. Pet care gives me something to do. I also love dogs and cats they bring a little joy to my day. I pay close attention to them. I try to anticipate their needs so they are comfortable being away from home. I know it's scary for them being away from their owners. So I talk to them and try to put them at ease.

“Tuvimos una emergencia y Neidalys nos fue de mucha ayuda, cuidó muy bien de Chula y nos mantuvo informados sobre ella. Sin duda volveremos a pedir su ayuda para cuidar a Chula. 💖”

“My Lucy developed bad diarrhea during her stay and she is 110lbs so thats a lot of mess!! Cathy looked after Lucy like she was her own- took her to the vet and waited 3 hours to see him. She sent photos every day and was in constant communication. Cathy is my forever home from home for Lucy!”

Casey has been great with Grizzly, he is very grumpy and takes some days to warm up to people but Casey had a lot of patience with him. She also made accommodations for him to be in a separate room like I requested and put some rain noise for him. Casey is also very flexible and I appreciate that a lot! I definitely recommend her!

Tiffany was wonderful with Maxwell! She helped me out on very short notice, picked him up from my home, and took great care of him for the afternoon. She sent me pictures and videos while he was with her, which I really appreciated and found very reassuring. She was friendly, reliable, communicative, and made me feel comfortable knowing Maxwell was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Tiffany and would happily have her watch Maxwell again!

Shalie was able to take care of my fur baby at the last moment due to a family emergency. I loved the frequent updates, pictures and videos throughout the day. It really gave me peace of mind. Shalie was very responsive and most importantly took such great care of my Daisy, that it was honestly such a relief! Will definitely use her again, especially since she now has a relationship with my dog. I recommend her services because she is honest.

Emily was the best!!! She took care of our golden, Koa, for a full week and made sure to keep us updated with pictures the entire time. He looked like he was in great care!! My flight home was cancelled last minute and Emily was super accommodating and communicative. Would recommend her to anyone and would absolutely come back to her again!

I highly recommend Cassie. She was a fantastic sitter for my dog, Maya. She was friendly, accommodating, easy to communicate with, and made me feel at ease while I was traveling by sending lots of pictures and updates each day. I came home to a very happy pup and could tell she had received lots of love and been well cared for. I would book with Cassie again!

This is the first time I boarded Lolli with a sitter and we were SO LUCKY to have found Ashley! Lolli was very anxious and she went above and beyond to care for her, communicating with me all the way, so kind and generous! After the first difficulties Lolli was perfectly happy and secure, and I am so, so thankful for her dedication and care. Six stars!⭐️

We were set to be out of the country for 10 days. Piper, our 14 year old yorkie, had been staying with another lady when we would go somewhere that would not accommodate dogs, but she retired last year. I had originally found her on Rover and decided to look again for a dog With specific needs. I contacted Emily and we took Piper over to visit. She loved it there and Emily could not get enough of Piper, and she said yes! I had written instructions on feeding, quirks, etc. The day we dropped her off. Emily sent pictures and videos of what they had been doing all week! Piper loved the big dog pillow and claimed it as hers! We came back and was ready for home but I know piper would love to visit Emily again. Since she only takes one dog at a time that was a blessing. I highly recommend Emily to anyone who has a senior dog. We love her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
